Religion in my ideology is in the believer. I am in no way bashing any kind of religion. But I believe there are many gods, and there are no set ways of worshipping any God.

I agree with the post above me on the arguement of religion smile

well i used to be uber religious...then i finially excepted that i was bi or lez and i thought that i could not be a Christian anymore...
i thought about it and decided that if God loves me, then i can be both...
plus all being a "Christian" is, is beliving that Jesus died on the Cross for our sins...so I can still be a Christian, and worry about the rest of that stuff later...
for now i will be happy being who i am..
that's just my two cents

Broken Wineglass
There are some denominations that do not consider homosexuality a sin at all (I'm not sure what they are...). I've known several bi girls who are very religious, it doesn't stop them.

I personally, am agnostic. I don't believe in God or Heaven - but I think it's perfectly lovely that you do. Just ignore ignorant people like Scipii. 3nodding

th United Church marries gays. so theres one 4 u.

ps...you should have put an unsure on the poll there. i cant answer it.

my dad's an episcopal priest, and i'm a christian. i don't think what happens naturally is a sin, and homosexuality is in nature. plus the whole "be like christ" thing, and what did christ do? he loved everybody. which is actually what i do.

personally, I think being bi/gay/lesbian and then being religious sort of contradicts itself, but it is possible.
I give up on religion. All religions are pretty much the same, and as much as people think they're beneficial, I think they're more harmful than anything. For example, look at how much of a gap there is among people. Every religion makes fun of every other religion. I know in my religion class (I have to go to a Catholic religious ed b/c my mom is an a-hole) a kid always calls things "Jewish", making it sound like Jewish people are bad. And I want to know how that's good or "Christian-like", by making other religions look bad. I just think religion interferes with things like politics and everyday society. Also, I don't want to believe in anything that doesn't believe in me.

My belief is that if homosexualiy, bisexuality, transsexuality exists, whatever higher power is there is perfectly ok with it, I think sexuality is a animalistic nature. We shouldn't restrain ourselves for celibrating our sexuality...it's actually killing us if we do. Note how far away from nature humans are. That's for a variety of reasons. WE ARE ANIMALS!!! Why not just "go with our instincts" for once!!

How many words did Jesus or Buddha or Krishna or Guru Nanak speak on homosexuality? ZERO! But they all loved everybody. That's the meaning of life. To love everybody the way they are...with flaws! Homosexulaity is nature. If I am homosexual and its a sin, then the fault lies with God, not me. He created me like this.

Honestly...I dont beleave in heaven or hell.....Angnostic or athesist...Cant rember which.....But ya....The bible contra dicts its self in some places...Science proves some of ity wrong in others....I would rather live without a heaven or hell then be stuck between a holy war such as this....And this way Theirs no one telling me that homosexual relations is wrong

Actually the bible has been proven more time than evolution. Did you know that they haven't found traces of enough supernovas for the earth to be around for millions of years? There is about 1 supernova for every 25 years. and their remains hang around for millions of years but they've only found enough to account for 5000 years... what happened to the other millions of years?
(there's alot of other stuff that i wont get into now)
And have you ever read the bible? Then how do you know it contradicts itself? Please stop spreading those rumors!
..... i know this isn't the topic sweatdrop but i just hate it when people start dissing the bible before they even know any of the facts.

Well the universe itself also evolves really. They aren't even close to galaxies to start with after being formed from the expanding boundary of the universe.

The main two flaws of the bible, are that one, it is a mortal written book, further to the second part, written by men. The first point allows for emotional input, such as greed and jealousy of one point of view versus another. If they think something should be a certain way, it may have been written so. Being written by men, gives the basis of being sexist as it seemed, as being, 'men are better than women' sort of things. The USA finally in the last 100 years, started to make as much as can be currently changed, such as even military not caring of gender (not to be confused with individual views from individual people in that military). Other countries though of course are still in the same path as 2000+ years ago.

I'm pagan, but I at least try to respect each culture's ideals and ways, to a certain boundary of my own. My main theory for us, is that the ultimate crime possible is destruction of knowledge.

You must though look at it in many forms. Killing a person, you have just destroyed all knowledge they possessed. Destruction of a city, you have now just destroyed not only book/people forms of knowledge, but history of time, of how the city grew, the plant life, the animals, the buildings with age and alterations to them.[/rant]

I am bisexual and a Christian.
I believe you can have a religion and be a different sexuality.
God hates the sin of homosexuality, not the person.
I do not believe I'll go to hell either, yes, it may anger God but I feel if I follow the set rules of the commandments as best I can and live my life as a Christian that I am not doomed to hell.

That is just me though...
I agree with this, God doesn't hate PEOPLE he hates the sins that we commit. All people are sinners so we all potentially would be going to hell, (Which is why Jesus had to come and die). No one knows for sure whether or not someone will go to hell or not for being homosexual...only God does and its really up to him. The Christians want to say that we will because we're gay but its not up to them its up to God. I admit that there is a verse in the Bible though that says that homosexual acts are detestable in the sight of God, and homosexuality is listed among several sins, and right after those sins it says "anyone who practices these will not inherit the kingdom of heaven" or something along those lines. But you have to wait and see, like i said God hates the homosexual acts, and the sin of homosexuality not the homosexual.

On another note, if Christians are bothering you about this then point out to them that God has called them to be loving toward everyone and not judgmental, there is a verse that says "Do not Judge less you be judged for the same order that you judge you will be judged." This basically means that in the same way that the Christians judge us for being lesbians/bi/gay etc... they will be judged by God.

Thankfully there are some Christians out there that stand up for what is right and will tell other Christians to back down if they are bothering us
