"Um, this is my boyfriend Ra. He and I met in high school," she smiled around the room. "Ne-chan, that's Drew," she smiled and nodded to the boy. "This is Gabe," another nod to the older boy. "And this is Sa-chan. Sorry... Sadie," she smiled down at the young girl.
Sadie looked over at the good looking young man and couldn't help the blush that washed over her cheeks. When Obie introduced her, she grinned and arched a brow in much the same way her sister would.
"Sa-chan? I like that," she smiled and finally released her to pull away and lean back against the counter.
The boys both nodded to Ra, Gabe's with a warm smile as he offered his hand to him.

Ra smiled to them all and shook Gabe's hand with a nod of his head.
"pleased to meet you." He said with a smile, stepping back to behind the shyer of the boys.
Madison gave the young man an encouraging smile and turned back to the food.
"Why don't you kids go and get ready for dinner. Your father will give you a ride back to school after dinner."

Gabe grinned as the young man stepped back and then looked over at his mother as he munched on the cookie he held.
"Sure. Come on Sadie," he grinned and looped an arm around her shoulders and fairly dragged her out of the room. That look of adoration on her face was not likely to leave any time soon.
After they left, Drew looked between the two new people for a moment and then slowly turned and made his way towards his room.
Obie smiled at Ra as he stepped back. After they all left, she stepped across the kitchen to take his hand in hers and pull him further into the kitchen.
"Are you alright?" she asked softly, stepping close to him and smiling warmly at him.

"Yeah," He said squeezing her hand and smiling. "Just a little overwhelmed." Though he knew Obie was probably ten times more overwhelmed than he was, it was her family. He felt slightly in the way. Not that he was bothered, he had come to support Obie and that was what he was doing.
"Don't worry dear." Madison said with a smile. "Drew's always been quiet. He'll warm up once he feels comfortable. You won't be so lucky with the other two I'm afraid." She gave a small laugh and started to dish up the dinner. "You can go with Brad when he takes them to soccer later if you like Rashne."

Obie laughed softly at his reply and wanted to wrap her arms around him and just hold him. This day had been terrifyingly wonderful and she was so happy to have finally found what she had been looking for, but curling up in his arms in the silence of the hotel room sounded really appealing to her. At Maddie's words, she turned and smiled at her, giving another soft laugh.
"That's quite alright. He really reminds me of myself. Right Ra-ne? Wouldn't you say he and I are a bit similar upon first meetings?" she smirked and glanced up at him.

"Completely" Ra smirked, looking up at Madison. "We met as lab partners for a project. She was so desperate to go off and work on her own." He gave Obie a playful look and moved to help Madison with the plates.
"Then you sound a lot like myself." She smiled giving Obie a wink. "I was always the quiet one in class. Very much like Drew. Sadie and Gabe have their father's bounce."
She smiled to herself and finished sorting out dinner.
Shall we go through to the dining room?"

Obie smiled at Ra's teasing and then almost shyly at Maddie's comparison to herself. Her shyness had always been the bane of Nadine's existance. She looked up and smiled again as she heard everyone gathering in the dining room. Looking back at Ra, she knew she loved him more now than ever. He had given her so much and had made her the happiest she had ever been in twenty years. Grabbing a couple of dishes she gave Madison a warm smile.
"Lead the way," she replied happily.~ Fade to xd ~
