to what nekirby said..... everyone is following a trend. EVERYONE
I don't care what you say, you are. It's unavoidable.
I don't mean to cause a scene but you need to think more before you start accusing people.

A lot of the things mentioned in both definitions of pansexuality seem to apply to me, but I still would define myself as bisexual. Pansexual as I seem to understand it thus far is only a less mainstream, and slightly more defined way of saying you are bi. In the same way that some people in the furry (Think people with animal ears and tails to define the term vaguely in seven words) fandom define themselves as scallies (lizard furry), or avians (bird furry). Whatever title the put on themselves, deep down they are still just furries. Pansexual just seems to me like a way of setting yourself slightly apart from the rest of the bisexuals in the world.
This term is new to me, so if I have a completely wrong understanding/deffinition, then please feel free to correct me. Just be civil about it.

It is setting yourself apart as a bisexual (I often refer to myself as simply "gay" or "bisexual" for the sake of simplicity and to save myself the explanation). But, at the same time, it is a different sexual orientation. It encompasses much more than the bisexual denotation does--it is not restricted to a bicategorical gender system. Gender is a spectrum, and not a linear spectrum, either; it's not just "male" and "female", or "masculine" and feminine". Most people are simply attracted to guys, or girls, or both. Pansexuals can be attracted to anyone anywhere on that spectrum. So in response to your post, it is and it isn't. I'm not sure how else I can express it.

I myself am not fond of Butch girls or overtly feminin guys. If I want a girl, I want her to look like a girl, and it goes that way for boys too.

I like this idea of less restriction; it seems more open-minded, which is always a good thing.

Zengi Pansexual, omnisexual, and pomosexual (postmodern sexuality) are substitute terms that rather than referring to both or "bi" gender attraction, refer to all or "omni" gender attraction, and are used mainly by those who wish to express acceptance of all gender possibilities including transgender and intersex people, not just two. Pansexuality sometimes includes an attraction for less mainstream sexual activities, such as BDSM.
~referenced from here I was wondering, how many of you actually relate to pansexuality more than bisexuality? I persaonally find that I seem to be more Pansexual than bi...but I get tired of defending pansexuality, or defining it for people.
Before I discovered pansexuality, I was always wondering why I was attracted to androgenous people (mainly feminine looking men and butch girls) rather than a distinguishable man/woman.
How many of you feel this way about your sexuality? I'll do you one better, I identify more as a Neutrois."Neutrois means non-gendered class. A Neutrois is someone who identifies as being non-gendered and seeks to lose the major physical signifiers that indicate gender to others (breasts, facial and body hair, crotch bulges, etc). Neutrois are not androgynes, but do pursue an androgynous appearance. They are uniquely bound by their gender dysphoria in that they find both male and female orientations wrong. Because of this, transitioning from an assigned gender, to either male, or female identities is not an acceptable solution."
Neutrois Home*My apologies for any unintended and/or additional head exploding this info may have caused smile

I dont know because I do have an attraction to androgenous people but only when they have a more essence of their actual gender. I mean I like a guy that sort of looks like a girl but becase of natural appearence not because of surgery. Girls are beautiful just the way they are. Mostly I like a person for who they are not their appearance. but no I think that im just bi.
