Kain's face looked blank for a moment, then his eyes lit up. "Riolu..." He accepted the crystal into his hands. The hands that were so varied... capable of great ruin, ingenious creation, or the lightest of touches. He cradled the crystal gently, and lifted a brow. "I might have an idea of who you're talking about, now... only one I can think of who's sported that much power around here." He took a closer look around, looking for the Wind Sage.

"And yeah, I would have fought you. Not to kill, but I love taking up a challenge, a blade must never become dull if it is to cut when the time is right." Kain gave a wispy smile, guarded, but it was there. "I won't stand in the way of an honorable battle, that is not my way... but keep the damage to a minimum if you will, I don't want my subordinates to be here cleaning up too long." Kain nodded up at Big Shoop, and the massive megadeus turned once and began walking back into the sea.

Pulling the boat up to the docks she frowned, Apparently there was a big commotion on the shore. The engine putted out and she hopped onto the dock grabbing a rope and skillfully tying the boat in. Recalling a majority of her Pokemon, she chuckled, watching as Latias tried to rope the other side of he boat. She fixed both knots and grabbed her small backpack, hurrying down from the docks to the shore. The light master simply blinked, taken aback. "How to people manage to do stuff like this?" she asked, glancing up at Latias with a disappointed frown. The wave crashed delicately against the shore and she sirked, blonde hair billowing eagerly in the wind.

It had been a while since she got into a good fight and the Island Patrol Boat commanding officer was getting a strong vibe that a fight would indeed be coming on. Latias flew back to the boat and back, dropping a gun into Mayura's outstretched hand. She twirled the gun and slid it into the holster on her hip with ease. Walking slowly down the shore, she tossed up a few poeballs, having Gardevoir and Espeon join her on her 'patrolling stroll'. Indeed, it had been awhile since she'd walked on land, the reasoning behind her soft sway in each step.

The man in the black armor with the fluttering cape gazes out at the Wind Saint, and smiles. This was it. He could sense the power in her..on this world, she had control of the element of air. He sighs, and can't help but manage a smile. Stepping forward, he flicks his eyes to the energy form that seems to be watching. That figure is going to be interesting. There is also the one in the spirit world. Over and over, the auras seem to come together, and there's even an approaching energy form that uses a brilliant halo. Yes, that will be interesting.

"You have a power that is just beginning. Whether this power will consume you or not has yet to be seen. If you can cast off doubt in your soul..if you can come to terms with the ache in your heart..then maybe..maybe you will attain true greatness!"

Again, he swings the sword, calling up the ancient tome..the pages tearing out and floating around him in a firey energy..and he lifts into the sky, smirking to himself. He gestures, the sky instantaneously going black, from day to night in the blink of an eye. Above, the stars sparkle, and the seas begin to rush about, churning. The earth rumbles..the fires rise..the wind begins to violently blow..thunder and lightning surges around the islands..all by his single force of will..

"I who have the power of all elements at my command..can you withstand my test? Bow to me..worship me..honor my name; Julias Vandole! I am the Black Phoenix! Be reborn in despair as I break the bonds you hold dear!"

When he speaks, the woman raises her head, taking notice, and her pretty eyes glow golden briefly, as she seems to lift upward from the ground, propelled by the very winds she commands.

It's funny, but as she moves, the wind around her seems to still, even while it blows, bending away from him, to her superior will. These two were on somewhat even footing. A god, to a goddess. She was such now, after all. She had attained Sainthood, in her sorrow, and in her fury.

"I am Yumiko. I am the Wind.. I am the Sky.. I am the Heavens.." and she reached forward, small spiraling spheres of light enveloping her as she bowed her head, her black hair fading, losing it's darkness as the pale golden color of her wind element enveloped her entire body, and she knelt there, in the air.

As the sparkling light enveloped her, and she seemed to release the bonds she'd placed on herself, the rest of her outfit changed as well, a golden necklace falling into place around her throat, as the black hakama faded into a long white skirt that split in the center, revealing a shorter skirt beneath, a high armored boots. Her sleeves were detached, violet and black, and went from shoulder, to hands. With a swift motion, she drew her sword as she stood, the light spreading out from her body into wings of light that faded as she started to approach, walking across the wind as though it were solid. Her voice, while deeper, had an airy tone to it.

"Let it be done."

She strolled along for a while and eventually saw two firm figures. One was floating in midair and she raised an eyebrow. "Some things just ain't logical." she whispered, slapping her forehead delicately and glancing at Latias. Her gaze flashed over to the other fighter. The man seemed unique to say the least. Side-stepping up the dune as she sat at the top of it once she got close enough to discern more detail. This would be interesting to watch. It wasn't often she had such entertainment when she came to the shore. Latias, in the mean time, diffused light particles and took and identical appearance to the light master, sitting next to her and gazing at the people.

Mayura ruffled the pokemon's hair, a soft smirk evident on her plush lips as she did so. "You know, I'd be lost without you, Latias." she informed, smiling a bit more fully now. "That girl in the fight, she controls wind. I presume she is the wind master. The other I really don't know" she admitted. Shutting her eyes, she concentrated light particles on her hand and formed a golden orb there, blazing like a hot sun. Throwing it up in the air it burst, giving off a brightflash. She hadn't known why she'd done that exactly, but perhaps it would be like a 'go' symbol for the two fighters. Not that she considered that, yet, what is will be.

"I'll start this off with a spell then. I hope your air can contain the heat that my spells generate. But I'm immortal and beautiful, so how could you even hope to compare to me..heh..you remind me of someone..except a little darker skinned..with pointier ears. She had this thing for a guy that was just like me, except I'm the sharper dresser. I've altered this spell a little from his original version..I hope he doesn't mind."

He gestures, moving his arms in an exaggerated fashion..and liquid white heat begins to swirl around him..

"Brain brain dead..."

Electricity..no, heat lightning..begins to crack down from the sky, forming an orb of red energy around him. The heat makes its own wind, which blows his hair about inside of the red orb. The ground beneath him turns to glass in a ten foot radius, and the energy pulses around his body like a heartbeat as he grins a fangy grin..

"Follow the ground's pledge, and fall from the edge of space, hidden within the grounds of Abaddon. Explosive fire of Gehenna, heed my cry and burn away everything.."

The orb itself expands, and surrounding things begin to catch fire violently. Some become mere ash within seconds, which isn't a good sign. and he places his arms, one above the other, palms outward..and the energy gathers there between them, and the orb bursts outward as he shoots forward, his entire body a firey comet..trailing liquid destruction behind him..shooting towards the woman..

"Exodus!"

Here he comes..he's confident of this spell's power..to come directly, he must be..

The woman says nothing at this point, unwilling to indulge in the banter that his previous opponent had. She did the most logical thing when the man hurtled toward her. In a flicker of light that was a sidestep into the ethereal plane, she was in, then out, and behind him in a mere moment, if the movement took that long at all.

She wasn't about to get struck with that. But once she does use the opportunity to dodge, she brings the point of her sword down, and leaping slightly, those glowing wings spread from her back again, a circular globe of light enveloping her before she seemed to almost fade out of view, her voice soft as she spoke.

"Hark.. lightning that rides within the ashen depths.. descend down as a storm upon my foes...."

The power that's gathering around her, it's apparent what it is she's preparing to do, at least to anyone who knows the magics she's using.

When he sails past the woman, he stops, and the flames die off of his body. He crosses his arms, and looks up at the cloudy sky..listening to her chant. It's almost like he's waiting for the clouds to open up and something to come out of them..and with the way he's looking up, like a man in an elevator waiting for the elevator to finally goddamn ding, it doesn't seem like he's entirely worried either. For a moment, there's a brief flash around him..and then nothing..and he sits there..waiting.

The funny thing was, the spell itself never completes, and as the woman steps forward from one of her brief little ethereal jaunts, her sword thrusts forward, aimed for the man's stomach, as the spell completes.

"Gravity Blessing!" and it's apparent that she allowed herself to be caught up in the wave of it in order to strike out at him. The final words of the spell are actually spoken as black and purple energy whirl around the two of them, catching both man and woman in the snapping ball that for just a moment seems to obfuscate them both.

He simply smiles raises an eyebrow, the energies wobbling wildly, and the image of the girl that is Alhazzad, shifts her scythe against the incoming blade..and the Gravity Blessing spell explodes away as the transparent girl floats there..shifting back. She turns her head, as she grows into a larger form with the black tattered wings of death fluttering, part of her back..the shroud around her showing her youthful, sad face..

"My darkest Lord. That sword she carries is the Wind Dancer, sword of the four winds. I wouldn't use your old blade against it. As the spirit of death carried on the winds, I will become your weapon to fight against it!"

And a blast of chill wind spins around Julias' hand, ice crystals forming, and a burst of black power as the spell is ruptured finally, and the spirit becomes the black crystal sword in his hand. He swings the weapon twice..and just can't help but grin..

"She's such a pushy evil spirit."

As her blade is deflected, she moves back, jumping once, and then twice upon the wind, observing the movements of the man's sword, a sort of smile on her face, as she recognized in a sense, the same relationship she had to her own sword.

"Kazeodoriko.. the Wind Dancer.. the sword of the four winds.. She isn't lying, you know..." the woman floating there reached down, drawing her hand along the blade, her blood dripping down the sword, as the blade started to glow, and around her, thin threads of wind started to weave a pattern.

"They can be pushy.. But we cherish them anyway.. They are more than just a tool.." her voice took on that light and airy quality again, as she brought her sword upward above her head, the sky rumbling as she did so, the winds taking on a vicious quality as they started to tear a path across the island, uprooting trees, boulders, even a few parked cars, tossing them around like toys.

"I can see that I won't be able to take it easy this time. You really will be a challenge. Alright.. I'll give you everything I have.." her voice rumbled in her throat, as power poured from her body and started to overtake the island, both above and below, winds striking in from all directions hot, then cold, as tornadoes started to erupt below.

She moved forward in that jerky ethereal jaunt of hers, bringing her sword down at him from a diagonal angle, though the way she moved, with the sword as long as it was, and her so small, was surprising. The other thing surprising was that she was wielding it with one hand.

"Blood magic.."

All he says as he watches her draw her hand along the blade..and as it comes down, his reach extends across the planes, and he too, with one hand, raises Alhazzad, deflecting the blow in the center, while moving to the right side to avoid the extra berth of the sword. Huge swords..why was it always huge swords? Sheesh, he felt like he was stuck in an anime or something. Oh well. He draws Alhazzad back, the wind moving along his own body, yet his flight isn't even mildly disrupted. Still, he vanishes, teleporting, down to the ground..looking up as things are lifted around him, at his enemy..

"I have crossed world after world to make the living understand that their place is specific..but they aren't aware of that. They make themselves into gods to fight that which is wicked..but suffering, the wicked, are necessary. I may not have time to complete it..but for you..I'll use my greatest spell. I didn't want to use this on the Draconian. The results would have caused the entire thing to go out of control."

And he begins moving..shifting his arm..dark lightning crackling all around his body as it begins..

"Para nodo ii...fomo buruuru..neei vase..iida ii.."

Whatever it is he's doing, it's big. A great black ball of energy is forming in front of him..about the size of a large bowling ball..but the amount of energy compressing into it..if Shelke was watching her energy meters right now, they'd probably be doing little pirouettes..

She didn't know what magic he was using, but the whispered voices of her blade warned her it was powerful. It would take something powerful on her part to even survive it, and instinctively, she knew this.

This was a battle she hadn't anticipated so quickly. Nor had she expected it to get to this level. She closed her eyes briefly, and when she opened them, there was a look of determination in her eyes, as she sailed, instead of teleporting, down to his level.

She was a far enough distance away that she would have a chance, she hoped. She sailed forward, realizing that while it might be futile, she wouldn't have much of a choice in whether or not she used the move. Her blade was coming at him in a straight slash movement. If she could get this first strike to contact, she could move into the combination that would set the entire thing in motion.

"It shall be engraved upon your soul..." spoken as the blade neared his body. She only hoped it would make contact, since he was busy casting. The energy that had been growing around her seemed to have no peak, as the wind, instead of whipping outward, seemed to drawn itself inward now, flowing around, and into her sword as she moved. Anyone around who relied on air would find it harder to breathe - the sad thing that happened when all of the wind is sucked inward at once in a semi-isolated area.

So, that attack. He couldn't help but smile as his incantation goes on. She'd find that an aura of pure force was making him very hard to get close to. Going at him was like pushing against one of those invisible wall things that Mimes do. It might be possible to get to him, but anyone doing so really had to work for it. One swing of the sword wasn't going to get close without enough power forced behind it to break past the sheer aura of evil he's got up around him from the presence of that spell. This magic is called from the depths of a darkness so deep, that penetrating it with the most brilliant of lights would still be a thousand years too late to stop it.

"..eita naaru aidooru..heebun n heiru..iaiannma paranoido.."

That sphere is condensing. His eyes are grinning..conveying one has to put more into an attack than just what the woman is trying..it's going to take more than everything she has..it's going to take someone going past their limitations..and his voice..psychically projected then..sears across her soul..

It's that internal voice that seems to snap something inside of her, something she had been trying to keep at bay.

::Isn't worth living for? My doubts about him.. They're my own.. I.. I realize that he still loves her. But that's something I'll have to overcome. I can't just sit around waiting for him for the rest of my life. He knows I love him.. I make certain of it every day.. On the beach.. that day.. he sounded so angry with her.. maybe my doubts are unfounded.. maybe they aren't.. but do you know something?:: she struggled against the barrier that kept her from the man, her body trembling as she tried to push against that force, her eyes snapping upward to meet his own. ::I'm not willing to give him up, regardless of what he says. Kojiro.. my love for him isn't worth living for? You're right. You're absolutely right.::

"It's worth dying for!" her voice was a solid scream when she drew back her sword, and swung again, the restraints on her power seeming to snap as light erupted from every part of her being, in a beam that strode upward through the sky, penetrating the clouds, the black dome, everything. Light and energy, searing heat poured off the woman, and it seemed that whatever he said, he'd gotten to her. Pieces of the island started to crumble inward, falling into the churning sea around them. She refused to give up. Refused to fail!
