-Kivuli laughed, and her tail began to sway back and forth with excitement.-
"I just want to be useful to the pride, after all, everyone did accept me here."

Originally, she would have been avoiding the cub, but there was something about Kivuli that made the huntress stop. Perhaps it was her innocence and sincerity (sp?) that made her take kindly to the cub. Something that the lioness had once posessed, but had been easily robbed of.

"It might be a while until you are actually able to come join the hunting parties, but you can start practicing now." Smiling, she gestured for the cub to follow her. "Kivuli, right..?"

"Correct. Sadly, your name has slipped my mind."
-with a quick trot she began to follow the lioness, who she'd grown fond of during her stay with this pride-

"It's Mwinda, Kivuli." Smiling gently, she began to lead the cub through the tall grass, her eyes darting around to spot any sign of zebras.

"Mwinda. I'll remember that."
-Kivuli decided to quiet down, incase Mwinda spotted some Zebra-

As if on cue, she spotted a large herd of zebra, all of whom were grazing upon the tall grass peacefully.

"See, Kivuli? Those are our targets for this hunt."

Edging closer, she led the cub towards an area which remained unguarded by several zebras.

"What you do first in a hunt is look for an open area. If you can't spot one, go to one side which is less guarded than the others."

She moved to the side, flattening her ears against her head as a zebra flicked its head in her general direction.

"You don't need to worry much about wind direction. Our prey usually rely on their eyes instead of their nose." Giving Kivuli another smile, she showed her sharp teeth. "Are you ready?"

"Ready whenever you are." -Kivuli nodded, lowering herself to the ground to watch, and join in if need be-

"Ready whenever you are."

Extended herself, she turned towards the equines. "You need to search for one that's nearby and is off guard. See that zebra over there?"

Mwinda gestured towards an an adolescent zebra who was eating the grass without daring to spare a glance up around him.

"Now watch."

Mwinda slinked towards the male, keeping it silent and still. She was afraid her fur color would stand out, but the adolescent merely ate on. In one quick move, she was ontop of the zebra, sinking her jaws into his back.

Dark storm clouds have slowly rolled into the area. The air is thick and muggy, and raindrops are starting to scatter across the lands; ominous thunder rumbles above, clear warning of a storm to come.

(Our first weather change! I figure this might make it more exciting than being beautifully sunny and nice all the time. <3 These will happen every week or so, to mix things up a bit.)

-watching the dark clouds roll over, Kivuli trotted up to Mwinda, and looked to the zebra.-
"It seems a storm is rolling over, should we head back to the rock?"

After making sure the zebra was dead, she turned to see the zebras scattering away from them, running away in fear of her and in fear of the changing weather.

Licking her maw clean of any blood, she nodded in Kivuli's direction. "Yeah. Our pace might be slowed down by this zebra, though."

Taking up the zebra in her jaws, she gestured for the cub to lead the way back.

-nodding, Kivuli pulled her way infront of the zebra and began to head back to the pride.-
-Drip-
-Drip-
-Drip-
-The rainfall had begun. Turning quickly to Mwinda, Kivuli yelled-
"Do you need any help carrying that?"

Mwinda shook her head, causing raindrops and blood to scatter around her. Chuckling mentally, she tried to smile, showing the blood upon her teeth again. Once more, she gestured for the young cub to continue.

"Alright.." -she said, picking the pace up to avoid the rain. If there was one thing she'd learn to hate, it was the rain.-

The huntress watched the cub before continuing on, allowing the rain to pour upon her, the cub, and the dead zebra in bucketfuls. The rain was beginning to pick up now, pouring more water than before.

As if on cue, Mwinda spotted the distant form of Pride Rock. Making sure that the zebra was secure in her mouth, she bound forward, falling in step with Kivuli.
