Covet smiled and lightly nipped his finger as he traced it along her lips. She then kissed it softly and opened her eyes to look up at him.
"As a musician I should have known better," she said, picturing the notes in her head. "Especially with that last chord." She then sat up a little and pressed her lips to his briefly before pulling away to look into his eyes and slide her hand up his chest to his hair, her fingers brushing against the feathers that were still hidden there.
"Me-chan... thank you," she said, watching him closely.

"No, thank you." He said holding her tightly for a moment and looking deep into her eyes. Releasing her he reached up to untie the feathers and lay them to rest on his side table.
"I should sleep." He said shifting to lie on the covers and close his eyes. "I want you to stay, though if you must go, you must."

"I'd like to see anyone try to take me away," she smirked, leaning down to press a light kiss to his shoulder. She continued to sit up on one arm and began to run her fingers through his hair with a small smile on her lips as she began to sing a soft lullaby.

Mecca opened an eye to look at her as she began to sing. A brief smirk crossed his lips and he closed his eyes again. Blocking out her singing and concentrating on the feel of her fingers in his hair. He was too tired to upset her with a quip about singing especially after she had brought him back from exhaustion with it.

Covet finished her song and continued to run her fingers through his hair, listening to his soft breathing and forcing herself to keep her eyes on him no matter how strong the desire to turn and look at the box was. Her ears flicked back towards it though, but she could still no longer hear the chanting. A slight darkness crossed her eyes, but she moved to rest her head on his shoulder and closed them as she concentrated on his heartbeat and the feel of her fingers sliding through his hair.~ Fade to Random ~
