Ubel squeaked softly when he saw Grave rushing at him, standing up straight in alarm and reaching out to stop the other, smiling crookedly. "I'm sure m'fine..." he said quietly, trying to calm Grave's worry. "I just... have a bit of chest pain." And it hurts to breathe, and walk, and overall attempt to move... "But I'm sure it's just a bruise. Antigone and Aysel wanted me to check on it though. I got smacked in the chest with a dud shell."

"He's hurt..." Aysel answered Grave, blushing a bit and looking away at the way he was dressed, her eyes going to rest on- ah, there was Euphrasia. She squeezed Ubel's hand gently and nodded to her, murmuring, "Tell her. She's the one that can help you." turning back to Grave, she smiled guardedly. "Ube's more hurt than he says he is. He could barely stand, and he was in a lot of pain. Don't play a hero-" this, of course, she directed back at Ubel, "if you're in pain, you're in pain. You can come play with us some more when you're not hurting.."

Grave nodded softly in response to their words, but his concern was still bold in his eyes, ad his soft mouth was upturned in a small tight curve. "Oh dear, oh dear..." Euphrasia tutted and floated forward like chiffon in the wind. She took Ubel with utmost gentleness and directed him towards the nearest bed. There she removed his shirt and laid him on his back so that she could apply some salve immediately and get to work on healing him. "Do you know how bad it is?" Grave asked, peering over the bed at his fallen lover. Euphrasia smiled at Ubel, and didn't raise her head when she replied to Grave's query. "The bruising is extensive, and there is a single hairline fracture in the third rib. If you'd taken another hit here, child, you might have actually cracked your rib. Cracked ribs are very dangerous, the Essence in bone marrow is very toxic to the blood stream, and you would have gotten terribly ill. as it is, we may be able to patch you up in time for the game tomorrow. That is, if you still want to play." Grave looked to Aysel, and murmured, full of concern. "Thank you, for bringing him when you did." Then Grave turned to Ubel and nodded firmly. "Don't you push yourself. If you just comply with them, and do as they say, and rest well, you'll be fine. I hope you can come play tomorrow, Ubel..."

Ubel was startled when he was led away by Euphrasia, blinking up at the woman as he was laid back on the bed with his shirt off - a fact that made him blush for some reason or another. Shivering because of the touch of the salve, he listened to what the healer had to said, eyes widening slightly when he was informed that he could have managed to become rather sick. "I think I will, yes," he whispered, smiling softly and nodding once. Then his attention went to Grave and he smiled shyly, reaching out a bit for his hand. "I'll be okay," he murmured. "And I'll come play tomorrow, I promise."

"Ubel~!" Aysel squeaked, both worridly and scoldingly. Toxic! He could have been poisoned! How lucky that she and Anti had insisted or...or...she squeaked again, softly, not even minding that he reached for Grave and not her. To her friend's object of affection, she offered a quiet "You're welcome..", though she never took her eyes off of Ube. "You'll be okay.." she assured him, "Just...listen to them, okay? I'll sit with you awhile, and I expect to see you up and beating me an Anti senseless at paintball tomorrow, yeah? Not literally-" she added with a quick look to Euphrasia, "But..well, you understand what I mean.."

Grave squeezed Ubel's hand and leaned down to kiss his brow tenderly. "You sure you're alright??" he whispered. Euphrasia clucked and shooed at him. "Oh, give him space, give him air! He'll be fine, I promise you. Go on, gather your clothes and clear some room!" Grave started and bobbed away from her waving antenna, nodding and smiling sheepishly. Grave glanced at Aysel and then at the door, as if to say, 'shall we, then?' He moved over to the cot where he'd been treated and scooped up his belongings. He slipped his shirt on and slipped into his boots. He siddled into his bracer and smoothed his hair and turned to look at Ubel one more time. He offered a brave and reassuring smile and said, "I'll see you tomorrow. Sleep well."

Aysel nodded to Grave, ruffling Ube's hair affectionately. "Get better, alright? I'll see you tomorrow." Taking a few steps away, she glanced at Ube once more and smiled, then headed for the door. To Grave, she said, "So, where to? I'd suggest the arena, but I don't think I'd like to be your opponent at that again if it's all the same to you.

Grave held the door open for Aysel and started a little at her words. "I...wasn't planning on playing because I was concerned that you'd still target me. I didn't want to repeat those events either." Grave looked away and cleared his throat a little uncomfortably. "I, to be perfectly honest, am a little ashamed with how I acted towards you. The uh, the point-blank. I'm sorry." His bright blue eyes targeted Aysel's face when he appologized so that she would understand that he meant it. "But if we can form a truce, I'll hazzard back into the Arena. Torrid said he'd be there...and to play with him..." Grave trailed off for a short but inexplicably happy moment and his mouth curled into a beautiful little personal smile. "I'd give the world to play with Torrid."

"I'm sorry too." Aysel replied, though she made a face at his smiling over Torrid. But she'd not mention it, not if Grave might get angry at her again. He was rather terrifying when he was angry. "I was only confused at why Ubel like you so much better than I...and I suppose I was jealous as well. I'll play with you again..." she paused, pondering for a moment, "If we can both promise not to take the game too seriously. I won't target you, and you won't target me. Is that acceptable?"

Grave listened patiently, and thought carefully before speaking. "I don't think he likes me better, Aysel. He just likes me in a different way. He needs you as a friend, Aysel. I believe that to be true. As for targeting... I will still fire at you if you make yourself a target. I'm not going to save all my shots for you...well, if I can find a way to get more castor shells, that is." Grave looked momentarily puzzled and glanced back at her. "I'm surprised you still had enough shots to keep playing... Is Professor Orrys giving out more shells?"

"Oh! Right, you used all of your up.." Aysel bit her lip in thought for a moment, and then tossed ten of her shots to him. "There are some that randomly are exposed...and then whoever has the chance to grab them, gets them. I'm almost fully-reloaded, so I can spare you a couple." She shot him a competitive grin, adding "I'll still shoot at you too...I just won't chase you and target only you. And.." She sighed, glancing back at the door to the infirmary, "I don't think Ube needs me. He likes me, certainly, and he was my first friend..but he doesn't need me, Grave. He needs you, for whatever reason. I'm just here to make sure that you or any other person hurts him." She laughed sheepishly, her grin widening. "I guess I kind of see him as a younger brother, you know?"

Grave flinched in surprise as the ten shots were thrown at him, but managed to catch them without much difficulty. "Thank you..." He murmured. After that, Grave fell silent, thinking over what had been said between them, and wondering where all the drama between he and Aysel would lead. At least she wasn't still angry with him, he thought with some small measure of hope.

Ubel didn't know when he had fallen asleep, but he knew that when he woke, it was late in the afternoon, and he was worried about missing any more of the games. Red eyes looked around slowly, a tiny sound coming from the boy, before he slowly worked on sitting up in bed, rubbing his eyes.

Guilt still gnawed at Antigone's insides, even if Ubel was going to be all right. She moved forward to help the young Empyrean sit down, biting her lower lip. "I'm sorry, Ubel..." she whispered, before stepping back, sure that he didn't want her to be around him.

Ubel squeaked in surprise when Antigone seemed to just appear, eyes wide. Then he smiled shyly, reaching out to grab Anti's hand and hold her still. "Hey, it's okay. You couldn't have known it was going to happen, you know?"
