Korosu Damatte You know what she and all of them symbolize? They all symbolize man's cruelty to his fellow man...We make the monsters we fear, we ARE the very thing we fear most, so all of the diclinous symbolize this and in our cruelty we finally made something that can be far more cruel then us >____> well said.....WHY MARIKO??WHY DO YOU HAVE TO DIE???

Mariko is cool. she has a pretty bad life though.. omg at the end wene she died i cryed so much xd

I love mariko as a character. (nothing to do with my name, noo xd )
Just because she hurt lucy/nana doesn't change anythign about her.
the dyclonious are suppost to kill arn't they? it's just there nature 3nodding heart
I thought the ending was sad, but also a happy ending.
She got to meet her father after all of her time waiting for
her parents, and they got to be together in death.

personally i felt bad for Nana, she wants so bad to be a help to everyone she just cant seem to get the hang of it. she always seems to try to hard to outdo nyu and ends up on the floor with her arms and legs around her

I feel sorry for mariko. She didn't have the chance to develop a relationship with her father as Nana did. But I think she is tied with Lucy of the evilness. They both seem quite evil.

I hate the way that they killed her they could have done a better job, some more air time, she had it the worst i think, locked up all her life released for a day or two and killed! emo

I feel extremely bad for, especially if you read the manga part, where she is in it. You'll feel even more sadness for her past. First her dad attempts to strangle her, then they implant bombs in her, they blow off one of her arms, they constantly threaten her, they put her through horrid experiments. Then Lucy cuts off both of her legs and beheads her, just as her body explouds. Well, the last part is from the manga, sorry....I like the manga better. Also, Mariko in the manga had blonde hair, not pink. So not all diclonii have pink hair. DarkNekoGoddess22, she wasn't truly evil. The anime sucks at explaining the full reasons silpelits and diclonii kill humans. In the manga it says, it's in their DNA, to help their queen destroy mankind, which is Lucy. When they kill people, they don't actually have a murderous intent, they get enjoyment from it like a little child gets enjoyment from toys....in reality they know they are killing humans, but aren't doing it totally out of hatred, except for Lucy, who knows she is doing it....Mariko only tried to kill Nana, because she got a long a lot better with Kurama then she ever did. At the end of her life, Mariko shouts to her dad, "Even though I detested you....I've always loved you with all my heart!"

shalron_strife stare Mariko is an evil *bleep* she broke off one of Lucy's horns... Thats not right... Im glad she died, but it was a really sad scene... I mean, by the flashbacks, it showed that she must not have been in constraints for even half a year... yet she just causes chaos sheerly cause she wants to. Lucy only kills people to get out of the facility, or in self-defense (mostly) so yeah, Mariko is very dislikeable, and I dont blame anyone who doesnt like her, Its Lucy all the way for me. mrgreen Those flashbacks werent her life, they were things she was imagining, things she wanted in life. Lucy has killed more people than Mariko has, so I don't see why you like her better xp

Silent Snow... the first time you see Mariko she kills someone, she is simply sadistic and that is why she ia all like tehehe I am going to kill you ...falls from the sky.
