He was sympathetic to her plight, but all the same, he didn't want to think badly of the other mare without some kind of grounds to believe that she meant them harm. He gestured for Luna to join him, offering Myoa a weak, apologetic smile over Luna's shoulder. "Here, miss Luna. If anything happens, I'll take care of you, okay?"

Myoa sighed paitently. She could read emotions and energies as well, and actually better than most. She easily saw Lunathiel's confustion, fear, hate, and anger. However, Lunathiel had failed to see Myoa's feelings. Myoa hid her true feelings behind an emotional mirror, a mirror that showed the looker's true emotions. The tangle of feelings Luna saw were not Myoa's, but her own. The mirror was not something Myoa could control. It was an automatic thing for her.

Lunathiel smiled gently at Shadow the warm feeling spreading over her body. She felt a bit of his strength enter her and she felt powerful. Her hoof steps echoed in the cave as she approached the green mare, head pulled higher then usual making her seem almost as big as a stallion even though she lacked a few inches. "Myoa..." She started tilting her head to the side slightly. "Why is it that you make me so angry...?" The words were asked as if the other female would have an answer even though the odds were slim.

The dark stallion shifted lightly to watch the exchange, remaining silent, but ready to intervene if it became necessary. He was still reluctant to take sides, especially since he really didn't know anything about Myoa, so he simply chose to let them settle it.

Myoa met Luna's gaze head on. She knew the answer deep in her heart, and she struggled to put it in the right words. "It is because I have found peace. I believe you can sense that I've had a muddled and difficult past, with a fear only recently overcome from my life as a foal....We are quite a like, you and I, with only the difference that I have overcome my past...and my fear." Myoa's voice was steady as it rang out, filling the whole cave with her musical voice.

Quick to jump to conclusions, Lunathiel snorted and stomped her hoof into the ground. "So what, you're saying I haven't overcome my past?!" The green wind mare had no right what so ever to be telling her things like that. Luna's past was hard to forget and she was doing a good job only fearing such small pieces. She snorted again and turned to Shadow hoping for some back up from the rather quiet stallion. "Do you believe this? She's telling me I'm still scared!!! Like a foal still wet behind the ears!!!"

Shadow knew he was treading on dangerous ground here, and that one wrong answer could be the end of him between these two females. Swallowing carefully as he looked up, he sought to pacify Luna without angering Myoa, and hopefully it would work in the reverse way, too. "Ah, I agree that you are not a scared little foal, miss Luna," he agreed cautiously, "but perhaps that is not what miss Myoa meant?"

Myoa nodded thankfully to Shadow. "I'm not saying you're scared, I'm simply saying that I'm at peace with my life, and I have only kind things to look foward to. I was not talking about you, but only about myself. My own past had been bleak, and I have no idea about how bad yours has been. The time for me to move on has come, I wish it has come for you." She flexed her wings gently, fanning herself in the musty air.

Lunathiel looked at the male, her lip jutting in a bit of a pout at his indecisiveness. How could he not just take her side souly? He had known her for a few hours more then this...cow. Yep she was just as bad as a bovine, and she was talking again. Every word out of that perky little green mouth of hers just seemed to ooze with insults to Luna's pinned ears. "I HAVE MOVED ON!!!"
She had snapped. Without thinking she bolted from the cave and made her way into the light trickle of rain. Her thoughts were roaring in her head louder then the pounding of her hooves. She wouldn't be treated like that. Like she was still the same lost little foal. She was different now, wasn't she?

Shadow felt no less than helpless at the situation that played out before him- none of what the viridian winged mare was saying sounded like insults to him, but Luna seemed to interpret everything that she said as malicious. It didn't seem like his intervention would do anything but hinder the situation, since he had nothing useful to say... but he felt bad, just sitting there and watching them argue.
Ebony ears perked up in alarm as the cerulean mare bolted out into the rainstorm, panic settling in after a moment when he realized what had happened. "Miss Luna!" he called out after her helplessly, immediately heaving himself to his feet. He had no idea what he could say to make things better, to calm her or assure her that no one meant her harm... but he couldn't just stand here, useless. With one last apologetic glance towards Myoa, a low murmur informed her to stay there, he would be back soon, and his dark form sprinted out into the rain.

Myoa knew that this was between Luna and herself, and she didn't want to get Shadow involved in a misunderstanding that could turn deadly. She darted past Shadow, easily outrunning him and getting Luna in sight. Before she passed the helpless stallion, she whispered, "If she is upset with me, then I must set things right." She caught up with Luna in a matter of moments, then ran easily alongside her. "If I cannot provide an answer, can you answer your own question?" Myoa didn't expect an answer, since the question was Luna's to begin with. She really felt terrible, but wasn't sure what she could do since Luna seemed to be insulted with everything she said.

Lunathiel's pure ocean eyes widened as she skidded to a halt after a few feet. She scowled at the grassy mare then reared back in her favorite dance and escape move before bolting again. She didn't want to get found, not yet. She still had to much to think about and that mare distracting her was no use. She turned away from her current route to the plains to move deeper into the forests.
'Damn you....' She thought angrily hooves pounding off the ground much harder then they needed to. 'Damn you for doing this to me father!' She let out an enraged cry into the storm almost as loud as a distant roll of thunder.

Golden eyes widened in surprise as the winged mare bolted past him, and he slid to an abrupt halt on the slick rocky ground. He honestly had no idea what to do... while he felt obligated to help in some way, there was really nothing he could do that didn't involve taking sides. A helpless sigh was heaved from his lungs as he hung his head, leaning against a large boulder and simply tilting his head upwards, letting the rain wash over his face and soak into his mane.

Myoa suddenly started humming a soft tune. Tears were in her eyes as she whispered, "That was a lullaby my mother used to sing to me. It was her last words before she passed on." With that, Myoa flew into the skies, giving Luna and herself the privacy they both needed.

Lunathiel collapsed after jumping a log, the rain was blurring her sight and the tears definatly weren't helping her in the least. She let out a pained whimper as she slipped under the fallen tree trunk. she wasn't hurt, at least not physically but the mental strain was begining to weigh on her. She looked into the air to curse out her father's soul, where ever he may be, when she saw the green mare flying off.
"That's right...run away..." she muttered but soon decided that wasn't good enough and decided to make her way away from the trunk. "You hear me?!!!! RUN AWAY!!! GET OUTTA HERE!!!" She reared back kicking at her retreating form. She fell once again but this time she didn't even bother moving to shelter. "Leave...just like he did!" Her eyes shown with all the pain she had felt over the years. Why did that damned mare have to appear. That cursed Myoa, that female, she brought back everything she had worked so hard to bury. She let out yet another anguished cry before burrying her muzzle in the mud. She didn't care if she got dirty, not anymore.
