Tyko cleared his throat as he saw that Kristian remained silent.
"I am a speed skater, while Kristian does alpine ski racing. We both love speed, it seems," he continued, giving Laurel a smile. "Training has not been going to well, though. Kristian and I often help each other with our training, and lately there have been many interruptions. It has been very detrimental."

Laurel looked confused, "I thought so long as you had a rink and he had a snowy hill you could train anytime you wanted." She skipped around the 'speed' comment, not sure if that had any meaning behind it.

"Well, lately there haven't been many rinks and hills for us to train on. You see, some Swedish government officials have been coming by alarmingly often to perform checks or something, and they often just come by to ask us strange questions. Rinks and parks are always closed off. The team has been discussing going elsewhere to train until this passes."
Kristian nodded as Tyko finished with a passionate flair.

"How dumb. You'd think they would just let you play in the snow." She gave a slight wink to let them know she wasn't being offending. "Are the questions about how wet is the snow today? What else could they want to know?"

Tyko nodded furiously as the colour flowed to his cheeks.
"This is exactly what I am feeling! The questions are so odd-- I don't know what kind of person would know the proper answer. They ask about unusual happenings with water and snow, and if we knew about any secret organizations! How would I know about secret organizations? They're supposed to be a secret!"
Tyko seemed to have expended all his energy on his last speech, and he stopped talking to catch his breath.

Well that was something to store in the back of her memory for later. Laurel grinned - very amused at his answer. "Even if you knew about such a organization that was secret...," She paused to laugh, "It would still be a secret that you wouldn't tell. Oh my, and I thought that England's government officials were out of their minds. I remember that before I met Miss Sian, that I was asked a few odd questions myself."

"Ah, you were? Questions stranger than the ones asked of me? Somehow, I doubt that. These people-- they were... what's the word? Lunatics. Seemed to think that something mystical was going on." Tyko wiggled his fingers around in a bad impression of a magician to get his point across.
A different voice, one lower and less passionate, shut off Tyko's completely.
"I do not think I would tell, Miss Laurel. Tyko, I'm not sure about. Some secrets are worth keeping, are they not?"
Kristian's mouth fell back into it's natural state of rigidity and he looked at Laurel curiously.
