The man sighed, "I know..." he muttered, shaking his head, "Just... wish people would stay away from it, you know? It's... a lovely place... and people, well, they like the ruin things like that..."

"Yes, but you have no right to stop other people enjoying it - in ways you are becoming as possessive as your friend." She pointed out in a patient manner as she flashed an appreciative smile towards the healer who continued to bustle around in his own manner. He could have been agitated, bored or actually in the process of doing something constructive but it was hard to tell considering the situation.

"If at such times, the Crystal or the wraiths see that the forest is being destroyed then I am certain that they will somehow block entry to help protect it - it is not your duty nor do you have authority to stop anybody from goind anywhere."

"What about you?" Roger asked her, looking around, "I mean... I bet you probably keep people out of here, dont' ya? For some reason, or another. I don't want to know..." he added in, as he looked back at Dune, "I... just wanna do something for something I care about... you know?"

"I keep people out of here because I do not want bloodshed in a sanctuary such as this." Dune responded coolly, her expression changing to one that was rather unreadable and resembled her venecian mask, "My brothers and sisters seek shelter, food and clothing within this sanctuary and I grant it to them as they grant me their loyalty - I do not want them to die in their home." She narrowed her eyes and shook her head as she took a sip of her tea, recollecting her thoughts in the process.

"I am similar to your apparent master but all I ask for is loyalty, I do not restrict movements for we have our codes of honour and those who betray us know their fate. We all need a place where we can live in peace and away from the world, if somebody finds us then congratulations but few do know where we are - it is virtually impossible."

"We just move the doors." Roan cut in and cast a glance towards his patient, "We have many casters and considering our connections to the Mage Guilds we have our ways of ensuring our safety."

"Needless to say, this area of land is mine and has been in my family for generations - I have authority over it and can remove people from it as I see fit." She paused and fixed her gaze upon Roger once more, "You do not own that temple, if you did then it would be an entirely different matter -"

"Because then you could call it trespassing." Roan finished softly and offered a slight smile.

In his current state of mind, it was all he could do to shake his head, muttering "Suppose so..." He really didnt' grasp it at this time, at least not most of what they were talking about, other than the comment that she was like his master. That definately stuck, only because the idea of it was very, very terrorfying to him.

He tossed himself up on his shoulder, and curled up, his breathing heavy as he went through the pain. "What's... going to happen to me?"

"That is entirely up to you to decide." Dune responded as she rested the cup on her lap and continued to watch him. She made no efforts to intercept his attempt to rise and seemed content to simply wait for him to make the moves - it seemed as though she had dealt with the ill and irrational before and sudden movements were not something she was prepared to make at this moment in time.

"However when you wish to leave you will be escorted with a blind fold on until you are a suitable distance away so that you do not know where you were held." She added, emphasizing her protective nature over her sanctuary.

"I am not your mistress, you are your own master." She pointed out and glanced down at her cup.

Roger frowned, and shook his head as he looked up at Dune, "But... Dune... Lady.. uh... whoever..." he stammered, uncertain what to call her now. Finally he focused, and got to the meat of his concern, "I owe you... alot now... and... it's not right... to just leave after all you've done..."

//Sorry about that, Gaia crashed out on me.

"Why not?" She enquired as she took another sip of her tea, she seemed to be in a significantly more relaxed mood than she had been previously and was much more 'human' in nature than before. She even seemed to act in the similar fashion to a high class woman as her mannerisms returned and she developed that small, semi-warm smile that said woman were renowned for throughout society.

"As far as I am concerned we are even, your master paid your debts by backing away and allowing me to bring you here to recover." She added knowingly, remembering how she had twisted things around so that the possessive man would see her point of view when it came to debts and how they came to be the master's problem when they claimed the indebted one as theirs.

"You can leave as soon as you choose and I already pointed out that I do not need a reason to help people; as far as I am concerned I was honour bound to quell the fight when I did, especially in myend of the city." She finished curtly.

"What about... the debt from saving me just then?" he pointed out. He was struggling, trying to use his right arm, to push himself up from his left shoulder, into a sitting position. It was slow going, tiring him out, and getting him nowhere at the time. But still he tried, for whatever reason.

"Ya say, you have your own honor... well... so do I."

"I already told you, your debt is repaid - I counted his choice to leave you as the second debt." She murmured, pursing her lips as she gazed into her tea cup for a long while. She seemed to find it hard to understand why he simply couldn't accept that she had granted him aid and was beginning to assume that it was due to her apparent occupation - a sad thing when someone simply couldn't accept help without assuming repayment was necessary.

"Just tell me when you wish to leave and I shall have it arranged, I will have someone escort you to wherever you desire." She added and set the teacup down upon the cabint beside the bed before disappearing outside of the mini infirmary that this room apparently was.

"Smart move." Roan mused somewhat sarcastically as he paused in his bustling and eyes Roger, "Can you not just accept and be grateful? Not often a rogue helps someone free of charge."

Roger fell back down onto his back, scowling slightly as he looked up at the rogue standing over him. "I guess you people just don't understand... too used to trying to figure out how to screw people over."

He muttered this, with a bit more venom than was usual for him, though he doubted that Roan would be able to tell that, much less derive anything from it, "I'm not like that... I don't wanna take advantage of people..."

"What little understanding you have - do not be so quick to judge those around you." Roan chastised, shaking his head as he moved towards the back of the room again to reorganise his herbs. Had Roger made a greater effort to understand who the man was he would have discovered that Roan was no rogue, he was a simple alchemist who had fallen into the wrong side of the law in a simple misunderstanding and had been rescued by this sanctuary - how many more had stories that involved this type of misunderstanding or something similar?

Nevertheless, he continued to rearrange his various artefacts, herbs and so forth with his back turned to his patient, the sooner the man left the better.

"Do you have an preferences on where you wish to be left or shall we leave you in the centre of Durem?" He enquired at last as if he was already making preparations for when the man left, "How would you like to be transported to aforementioned area and do you require anything in particular for when you are left there?"

Roger frowned, "I'd prefere just to walk out of here.... but I'm bettin' that ain't an option..." he stated. He slumbed back into the bed though, as he mulled over the question at hand. He really didn't want to go home, not now, after all, this was almost freedom. Or at least as close to it, as he was likely to get in quite a while. Other than that, he didn't have a place he could go, contacts, money, or anything, really. There was home, and there was nowhere. Not exactly a good set of choices.

"Oh, it is an option but you will be blind folded and led until you are a stuiable distance away from the sanctuary and cannot retrace your steps." Roan responded in a matter-of-fact tone, turning his gaze towards one of the books on the shelf which he removed and proceeded to glance through in order to locate a potion that he considered to be of importance to him.

"As Cordelia said, just tell as when you are ready to go." He added, placing his palm upon the centre of the book and beginning to search each of the shelves for the relevant ingredients that he would need for his next project.

"Well then... lets do it..." Roger said. He was slowly starting to accept that he wouldn't be able to pay off this debt. At least, not for quite a while. He strained, and pulled himself up this time, into a sitting position. From there it was an easy matter, to swing his legs over the edge of the bed, to the floor. "Just blindfold me and lead me around... I don't really care where you drop me, as long as it's not to the east."
