How much're Akatski cloaks on Ebay? I'm saving up for one... ><
It'll be great for Halloween next year...
I wanna be Deidara, but I dunno if my hair'd be long enough by then, and I'm kinda a brunette, but I plan on getting a lotta sun this Summer, so it might lighten even a little...
And I thing I'll skip the headband and details for now, because everyone at school'd be asking who I was either way and wouldn't know any details...
I must make the pants, though... and shirt... >.<
If you're looking for net tops, look at Hot Topic, they have some there at the mall near where I live.

Shebarikiri Well I won't have to worry about binding, I'm as flat as Lee. sad I can do his ring, but I don't know what color the material the ring itself's made of is, not the stone with the sign. What color is it? By the way, thanks for the egg carton tip, that's a world of help 3nodding
And Solanna, you looked freakin' awesome!! What are you talking about?- stop being so damn hard on yourself!! The only problem was the direction the pic was taken from- you got glare from the sun. But hell, that has nothing to do with you yourself..

My cloak cost me £20.00 from Ebay (Sorry, I don't know how much that is equivilent to in dollars >.<) But £20.00 for an Akatsuki cloak is a pretty good deal, well - in the UK it is.

Aurora Marija Oh my God. What store?! I live like 9 miles away from New York, and my friend works there- in China Town... I can like go there tomorrow if I know where to go- but dammit, I've been there twice, and only found 2 stores that sold anything anime/manga at all! And no rings... I'd give anything to know where that place was, or it's name, or anything...
I had to make my ring.... And it looks like crap, because I didn't size it right.. I have to talk to my girlfriend about the location of the store but it's one of those underground stores near a bakery. No, not in the little mall area.
The ring color is silver, where the area around the sign is red.

Okay... well it sounds like it was actually Itachi's ring, but hell, at this point I don't care. I could paint the damned thing. At least it'd look better than the crap I tried to make... Yeah, I've been in the mall thing I think you're referring to, so I'll know not to go there.. Alright, well I'll just search around. Under a bakery shouldn't be too hard to find.. I'm going there Thursday, so thanks soooo much for explaining as best you can where it is!!

It's not under a bakery, dear, but it's a block away from one. There are two small stores by it, and becarefull on the steps when you're going down staires. It's pretty small but has plenty of anime items, mostly Naruto related.
EDIT: On the side . . . left side when you step infront of the entrance, is a washed out Naruto group poster from the manga I believe. One of the old ones . . .
That one if my memory serves me right.

Yes... it was really glare-ful and sunny at the con. Although, this one girls cosplaying as Aerith used it to her advantage in some of her pictures, and it looked very pretty.
But somehow Deidara doesn't seem to mix with sunlight. =O
I'm going to get on my parent's cases about getting me a decent photobucket account, so I can take good pictures of the ring that I made, along with better shots of the cloak by itself.

I recently bought a cloak and made my own forehead protector but I'm having serious trouble with the ring. I went to mega-con and cosplayed as him (My hair actually has turned blonde, despite the pic in my profile where I still have red hair, so it worked out.) But I really need a ring. It driving me crazy.
And for all of those who are having trouble with the slash in the forehead protector, I just used a knife.

I'm dressing up as Dei-san for Easter. I had to make my own cloak since I knew that my Mom and Dad would not let me get one. It sucks. I had to take a black coat, then get some cardboard (red an white), then I cut them out in cloud shapes and the white to be a little bigger then I glued each of the peices together and taped them on the coat. XuX
