Deadly Conflicts (Play Thread)

As the party goes about their business, the large doors open up, with two Vashar walking into the holding area, carrying the dead carcasses of three slaves that had entered the arena beforehand. The slave's bodies were completely covered in wounds, with a few spears, many many chunks of glass and different foods covering their bodies, which by the looks of it, ment that the crowd wasn't too happy with these slaves fighting.

As the others notice these bodies being drug in, the slave didn't even pay more then a passing glance. Their spirits were so broken that they didn't mourn the loss of another slave's lives, they probably wouldn't care if their own lives were taken, just to end their suffering. The Vashar however, were kinda getting upset, although it didn't look like it. One of the Vashar near the arena where Melfel was fighting in, scouted around a bit, and with a heavy smirk, looked at the party members.

"You, spell flinger, and the six of you" of course, pointing to the party "Your the ones to be sent into the arena next. May your creator bring you mercy at the time of your utterly painful demise, heh heh heh."

Afterwards of that, the entire party was shoved towards and past the large doubledoors into the arena.

(If anyone didn't post and saying that they obtained their equipment, I'll just assume that they got their equipment while the others did and you'll have it.)

Shoved into the arena and having the double doors shut behind them, the party find themselves in a large open gladitorial arena. It was a good arena field's length (100 ft x 50 ft.), littered with broken bits of weapons, shattered armor, bloody limbs and body parts. On opposite ends of the arena, were two large caged doors. Behind it was nearly a dark veil about it, shadowing the arena just enough that you couldn't see the depths within. The party progressed into the middle of the arena, calming the crowd who up until they moved into the middle, were yelling and screaming, throwing different things into the arena.

(I'll allow checks if there's anything specific anyone wants to check out, if not, then roll for initiative for the first battle! Yay! xp )

As the party readys themselves, they're overwhelmed by the screams of the crowd, chanting all sorts of profanities and insults towards the party. Over by the cages, two slaves are seen pulling the gates open. A very loud chattering noise can be heard as a swarm of creatures charges out of the gates, tackling the weakened slaves and biting on their faces. As the creatures approach, you can make them out at a distance of 50 ft., 12 Dire Rats, ravenous and starving from the captivity the Vashar kept them in.

The arena is littered with various hazards that if stepped on, will hurt undoubtly. Post your attacks at your will, I will do the monsters turn on the round recap, so those going after the rats, keep in mind the situation may change with your action.]
