(seems you guys are going to have fun while I stay in this tupid inn....time for a change in mood *giggles at his powers of RPing*)
*Kira was alone in the room, one single candle illuminating the room. He waited long before his ears caught the sound of someone, sneaking towards him. Kira quickly, searched his pockets and grabbed hold of one of his special shuriken. Slowly he removed his hand, blew out the candle and threw himself back as a dozen other shuriken stuck into the tatamis' he had just sat on. Flipping backwards with one hand, he turned himself, while upside-down and whipped the single shuriken through the walls. A scream of pain erupted followed closely by a thump. Blood flowed from under the door.*
*Kira brushed himself off and went around the wall to the fallen assassin. It was a black dressed ninja, sent to kill him. The shuriken he had thrown had pierces the assailant in his jugular vein, leaving a river of blood spill out. Removing his projectile, he wiped it off and left the room. Someone had tried to kill him.....but they failed, meaning they would try again......*
*Kira walked quietly past the many rooms, down the hallway, where no sound could be heard. It was dead quiet. He got near the entrance where he could hear whispers from the outside. Kira tried the door but it was locked. He had no choice but to use it. He figured no one had stayed in there so he took out a small ball. It was a gunpowder bomb. He held it out with one hand and lit it with a nearby candle. It sparkled as it ignited. Kira ran back a few dozens feet then tuned and threw it with amazing stenght through the door and out into the road. Men could be heard as well as horses trying to scamble. He had guessed correctly: a troupe had been sent to kill him. The bomb went off just then, causing Kira to fly back a few metres. Debris and wood flew everywhere.*
*After the smoke had cleared, a few minutes later, Kira went outside and found around twenty men and five horses, dead on the ground. All were carrying the sign of the Meiji Governement*
hehe. Fools will try to kill me....they fail...there comerades try, they fail and it all comes to the final battle....
*Kira walked off into the town, swords in belt, hand still carrying his shuriken*

Sakura Chaos arrived at the mansion and looked up at it before entering without a sound or trace of doing so. He entered slowly and went up to Yamanakas' room and sat on the desk polishing his new sheath as the men talked. He responded to something off-handedly "Sure it's for the best huh..." They all jumped up drawing weapons till they saw who it was. They didn't recognize the sword since they had never seen it, although there were stories about it far and wide. It was covered in twisting leather to give better grip and had little special design on it since it was made to be a non-bloodthirsty weapon. They yelled a bit at him before returning to their seats, but Chaos paid little attention to them. He was now listening to the things around with the tip of the 6 shaku weapon on the ground below him since he was up on the desk. He had heard something...now he was searching for it with his Shigen and ready to pick it out of the small town of Sekigahara.

*Kira wandered the night roads of Edo. He was exausted and was still in danger of pursuit. He finnaly reached the Sumida River. Taking a nearby raft, he hopped in and slid down the slow river. It was very quiet and a fe lights could be seen from houses. Kira drifted far. Up ahead, he saw a flashing light.*
There's the signal....
*he rowed the boat to the other side with his hands and got off.*
hum....he's too early....
*Kira tightened his grip on his swords and advanced, along the shore, towards the shining lantern.*
Tohru.....doko desu ka? (where are you?)
*Kira moved up to the lantern and picked it up, at the same time drawing his sword. He turned around and nearly cut a man's throat as he tried to sneak up*
Oh bakayaro!! (idiot)
*Kira recongized that it was his good friend Tohru*
.......trying to sneak again......you're still sloppy
*he lowered his sword and sheathed it.*

((Since you didn't specify which you can go back and forth from each side as you wish. Kira is more on the Shinsengumi side so he'll probably only work for them <.<))

It had gotten darker outside. Yumi decided that she had to hurry, otherwise the trip would be useless. She quickly changes into a white kimono with orange pattern, sticks some daggers, shurikens and kunais into the dress and leaves the house.
Slowly, since she isn't exactly able to run in the kimono, she makes her way towards the Yamanaka house. She's carrying a basket of flowers she's picked on the way there. When she stops in front of the house Yumi takes a deap breath and then knocks on the door. An old womans opens it and asks what she wants. Yumi holds up her basket and answers that she's selling some flowers. The woman inspects the flowers, then tells her to come on in. Yumi follows the woman through the house and into the kitchen. There she sits down and waits for the older woman to find some money to pay for the flowers. While the older woman is looking, Yumi "casually" asks if they would happen to have some job for her. The older woman says she doesn't really think so, but that she could take Yumi to Yamanaka and Yumi could ask him herself. So a few minutes later Yumi stands outside the door to Yamanakas room. She knocks politely, hears a "Come in please" and a few whispers wondering who it is. The older lady opens the door and Yumi steps in.

Chaos slowly looks up from the floor with the 6 shaku blade between his legs touching the floor as he sits on the desk near the council but close enough to defend if needbe. His golden eyes instantly trained upon her and he didn't smile. He recognized her and knew something was up but would say nothing. He really didn't care if this fat traitor died or not...since he had betrayed his own people why should he really even be trusted...but it didn't matter. He watched the girl intently. He remembered small little details about her and noted different movements in the way she moved...she didn't move naturally like a woman...her movements were slightly jerky showing that she wasn't used to acting like a woman...someone who wished to conceal their identity...

When Yumi stepped into the room she immediately got down on her knees and bowed down. She presented her question, then waited for Yamanakas answer.
After a while Yamanaka when he had discussed it with the old woman, he told her to get up. Yumi immediately raised her head from the floor, a second there was a hard glare, but just as quickly it died out again leaving her with a smiling innocent looking face. Yamanaka told her that unfortunately, they did not at the moment require her assistance, but that they would contact her whenever they might need her. Yumi gave them a fake name and adress, thanked them, got up and left the room. Intentionally, but acting as she actually didn't know where she should go, Yumi turned the wrong way and walked through the rooms, untill the old woman noticed and showed her out.
Outside when the gates were closed behind her, her innocent face turned into a malicious grin. That was way too easy. Yes, it seemed to be even too easy, this bothered her. One of the guards she recognized as the guy from earlier, definately not a good sign, since he had probably recognized her too. She shivered, the night was cold and the way home was long.

*Kira sat on a nearby log as his friend extinguished the lantern*
So what's up, Tohru? This better be good calling me all the way down from Aomori....
*His friend looked to him with a serious face*
This time it's for real.....Yamanaka has betrayed us and we can't care for him now. We can only hope he gets killed, it might encourage the troops.
*Tohru was a head captain in the Shinsengumi Rebellion. He and Kira had been friends since they were 14, training under the same master of arts.*
Yamanaka, neh?.......I knew he would some day.......
*Kira got up and brushed himself off*
Kira: So what do you want me here for?
Tohru: ......I want you to ally yourself with the shinsengumi....
*Kira turned and sighed*
You know i'm not for any side but only for my country, tohru.....
I know I know but we need the help of skilled swordsman. Most our remaining armiers are younger and less skilled. Plus we have had news that the Meiji is gathering samurai for thei own use....
*Kira turned, a look of surprise on his face*
His Highness is gathering Samurai??!! I thought they were trying to abolish the samurai class!!!!
Tohru: Well......we need you.....the portugese, spanish and americans are all sending more firearms everyday to the Governement. Soon we will be outnumbered!!! I need your decision....
*Kira looked up to the sky and sighed once more.*
.....I will give you my decision...three months from now...I must travel to see the state of my country.....we shall meet on the 31st of August in Kyoto. Do you have an emcampement there?
Tohru: Yes.....we have been able to control some land near the city and we regularly put siege to it but I recommend a safer place more under our Control.....
Kira: And that would be?...
Tohru: Sekigahara.......

Chaos lowered his stare to the ground once the girl left and let his Shegin rove the premisis all the way to the gate. He noted the girl just leaving and then slowly uncrossed his legs to slowly stand up. His eyes opened slowly and trailed along the room noting every crack and detail. He had already searched the rest of the mansion and grounds to know everything and every nook there could be. He wanted to be aware of it all...he wanted to know everything that there was to fufill his mission...whether or not the man lived hardly concerned him...he only wanted to change Japan for the better...that was it. He wasn't sure it this was the best way but didn't contradict it at all...

The walk back home was very long, it took ages! When Yumi finally was back in her own room she dropped down dead on the bed.
Next morning she woke up, still wearing the same clothes as last morning. Not good, why was I so tired? She felt like she had been sleeping for a day or more but when she looked out through the window, everything was quiet. It was still early morning, the birds singing and sleepy people slowly opening their shops. She smiled as she sat there staring out the window, for half an hour or so she forgot all about her mission, her problems and everything else, and was just sitting there without having to act like someone else.
The morning certainly was refreshing, but she knew she couldn't just sit there all day. Dressed in a yukata once again she walked out the door and headed for the local food store. Lunch time!

Chaos slept...if that's what you could call it. At the slightest noise he was awake and observing. His eyes were always opened and only closed to blink as if he were awake. He gripped Masamune waiting for the chance to use it but wouldn't let it go...even in his sleep a ninja would have a hard time getting past. He woke up around midday and simply stared at the wall. All the men had gone to sleep in here using the chairs, table, and makeshift beds to sleep in. He shook his head and looked to the window slowly his Shigen wide open and watching everything. He could just barely see the marketplace from the window since the mansion was on the outer fringes of the town.

Yumi didn't buy much in the shop. She didn't exactly feel very hungry, since she knew that today was a special day. The few butterflies in her stomach and her brain working on high speed all the time made it impossible to swallow too much.
The whole day passed without Yumi exactly doing anything, but as the noise outside started to fade she was already ready. Her two katanas were attached to her back in a cross-shape. A big black scarf was wrapped around her face. For tonight she had chosen a darkblue yukata, one that was one size smaller than usual. Now she rushed towards the Yamanaka house, for the second time.
It didn't even take half as long for her to get there this time. Silently she jumped up on the gate, balanced her way towards the roof and jumped up on it. Now she started sneaking towards the big window that wasn't visible from the road.
