I think that Gaara would sooo win, because he's REALLY strong, and and Sasuke would use his speed, but Gaara would win because Gaara has really strong Jutsus. blaugh That's what i think.

Gaara would stand a good chance against Sasuke. His Ultimate Defense would beat Sasuke Chidori, since Sasuke can only use it two times. 3nodding

This question, again, depends on what time in the series you're looking at.
Spioler-ish:
If you're looking at after the time skip, then as much as I hate to say it (and trust me, I really hate to say it), Sasuke would probably win. We all know that Naruto could beat (by only just so) Gaara in a fight, but Naruto is not strong enough to defeat Sasuke. That, in turn, would probably say that Sasuke would beat Gaara.
If we're looking before the time skip, then Gaara would most definately wing against Sasuke. In fact, he does.
