Underworld - Central Cavern
What was this? Just some? This was going to take some time. Darnit… Envy sighed and visibly sunk at the thought. Great, just what he needed: more problems to work on. Couldn’t he ever have the simple jobs like everyone else? Just look at Sloth! He barely did anything! He was able to relax at home and have the time of his life. Man… why did this have to happen to him?
“Of course I am talking about your memories,” The annoyance was evident in Envy’s voice. “And you might as well and be full out honest with me this time too. How many of your memories have returned? Namely, have all of your memories returned?

"No, they haven't." The teen replied evenly, eyebrows still furrowed and lips turned down. His attention flew over to Yuffie when he heard her scream for Rikku. He wanted to help, but that would be turning his back on Envy. Sure, Envy wasn't the most..... physical of the heartless, but he was still strong. Instead, he shot a glance at Yuffie, apologizing for the lack of help. Taking a breath in, he addressed Envy.
"Why're ya so interested?" Blue eyes watched the other cautiously, one hand paused in summoning his water attacks.
His heartbeat resounded in his ears.

Underworld, main cavern
Rikku awoke to find Yuffie standing over her, looking concerned. Judging by the scene in front of her, only a few moments had passed.
Physically, she felt fine. But her nerves were shot due to that creature that stepped in front of her at the last minute.
"What was that thing?"
Turning her head slowly, Rikku realized that that "thing" was still there. She quickly covered her eyes. "What is it? What's it doing here?!"

Before Xeryim opened the portal, he stood for a moment in his pathway of darkness, laughing. He hadn’t even wanted to kiss Sora, but from the look on the boy’s face before he left, Sora was as broken as a coconut husk crushed under a boulder. And Kairi, it seemed, was in only slightly better shape. He quickly got a hold of himself, and held his hand out before him, reveling in the immediate response of the shadows to his command. He stepped out through the portal, finding himself tucked behind a gummi ship. Ridiculous contraption.
He bent down and surveyed the room, ascertaining in a moment who was in this room. He nearly clicked his tongue happily as he identified the white-clad witch, but he made no sound, only letting his eyes widen, when he saw the blonde ex-Nobody standing on the other side of the ship. He grinned, and straightened, edging around to the corner of the ship.
“Roxas,” he murmured, just loud enough for the boy to hear his voice. “Roxas. I have a message from your dear friend. Riku. I have a message from Riku– but only for your ears.” He smirked, knowing that the boy would follow him hook line and sinker now.

Tidus was amazed when Rikku fainted. "Rikku!!" But before he could get to her, Yuffie was there first. What happened? He didn't know what was wrong with Rikku lately. Soon after, she awoke.
Then a voice called Roxas. Another Heartless! "Roxas! Be careful! He could trick you!" He warned the boy, glaring at Xeryim angerly. So many Heartless...
He went to Rikku, helping her up. "Are you okay, Rikku?" Tidus asked her softly, wondering if he should take out a Hi-Potion or Elixer for her.

Underworld - Central Chamber
“Roxas. I have a message from your dear friend. Riku. I have a message from Riku– but only for your ears.”
The once-Nobody stopped in his tracks at the mere mentioning of his friend’s name. Riku? Who could know about Riku? Roxas whirled around to see a young man, hair like silver and eyes like two aquamarines. There was a strange aura around him. It was as if Roxas had met this man before. But how? Surely he would have remembered him…
It was Tidus’ call that drew the light on the situation. Roxas’ head snapped to Tidus and then back to the silver-haired visitor. Heartless… no… He wasn’t like any of the Organization mem… Even Roxas’ thoughts trailed off. It suddenly was as clear as day. That sense of familiarity… that aura… Roxas knew this person… or at least he had.
Riku’s Heartless.
That explained why he mentioned Riku. That explained why he knew his name. This Heartless was the byproduct of the Pride and the other Heartless’ treachery. He was the one that filled Sora and Kairi’s hearts with pain, doubt, and hopelessness. Roxas could never forgive this person’s existence for those reasons alone.
The hot feeling of rage bubbled within Roxas. With clenched fists and white knuckles, the boy turned back to the others, only spending a brief moment to send the most wrathful of glares before calling to the others. “I’ll be back in a minute everyone. Please…’ He paused for a moment, looking at each face. “Please just stay here, alright? I’ll be back in a little. I promise!” His eyes lingered on Namine has he finished speaking. He would come back. He promised Namine. Now he had no choice, right? He had to come back. He would come back. The Heartless only wanted to speak with him, right?
Steadily, Roxas made his way over to the spawn of Riku’s darkness. With eyes that shone with anger and suspicion, he looked straight into the face of the Heartless. Oddly enough, or so Roxas noticed, he was the same height as Riku.
“Alright then, lead on and deliver your message. I’ll go where you want as long as you do what you say you are here for.”

Underworld- Central Chamber, right next to Rikku
Yuffie knelt down beside the shaken thief, relieved she was alright. Her eyes followed Tidus as he walked over and helped his old friend to her feet. They seem awfully close.......in fact, if I didn't know Tidus was with Yuna, I would think they were a couple.......
She shook her head to rid her mind of the stray thought, and got onto her feet. "Are you alright, Rikku? I have some supplies with me, if you need healing or anything." Her thoughts then shot back to the question she was asked earlier. "Oh, the thing that scared you? It's a Heartless. Its name is Envy." She dropped her voice so only the blond girl, and possibly Tidus, could here. "Right now, the rest of us are waiting for the right moment to kick its sorry a**."
“Roxas. I have a message from your dear friend. Riku. I have a message from Riku– but only for your ears.”
That doesn't sound like Envy..... Turning around, she caught sight of a new Heartless, a human-looking one with silver hair and green eyes. "That's not.......it can't be......" Riku? She watched as Roxas cautiously walked over to the new arrival, possibly to hear what was being said. Someone needs to spy on him, make sure nothing happens......someone stealthy, ninja-like......guess it's me by default.
Turning back to her new friends, she lowered her voice to a whisper. "Hey, why don't you guys help Demyx take care of Envy?" She pointed to the funky-haired musician who was standing off to the side. "I'm going to watch over Roxas, make sure he doesn't get hurt."

Xeryim sneered, glaring at Yuffie and Tidus coldly enough to stop a polar bear in its tracks. Had this ridiculous excuse for a cave played tricks with the acoustics? He was quite sure he had spoken only loud enough that Roxas could hear him, not everyone in the room. Oh well, perhaps he would have to examine the acoustics of caves such as this, so as to not repeat this fallacy.
He placed a hand on Roxas’ shoulder, nodding to the young man. “I have no desire to do anything but what I have said,” he said simply, and quietly, before guiding Roxas toward the exit. Before he followed the boy out the door, he turned and leveled a cool stare at Yuffie.
“How foolish do you think I am? I highly recommend you stay here and do not follow us. Roxas will meet no harm at my hands, you need not fear for his safety. If you’d prefer to have your dear musician’s head as a hood ornament for this gummi ship, by all means, tempt fate and eavesdrop. And don’t think any amount of stealth will help you,” he added as he turned to go, glaring from the corner of his eye, “I will know if you follow my command or not.”
He smirked maliciously, slicing his left hand across his throat in a gruesome promise. He turned completely around, not needing to see Yuffie’s face to know he’d struck her nerve, and left the cavern, following the blonde with a grin, guiding the boy across the small stone bridge to the small corner, stopping just to the side of the staircase to the Coliseum.

"If you’d prefer to have your dear musician’s head as a hood ornament for this gummi ship, by all means, tempt fate and eavesdrop."
The words sent an icy chill through her body. She gripped her shuriken tightly, allowing the sudden surge of anger towards Xeryim an outlet through her tensed fist, until the blade cut through her glove enough to scratch her fingers. The sudden twinge of pain provided an interruption to her angst ridden thoughts, allowing her to clear her head.
Glaring at the Heartless, she took a few steps back, signaling her intent to back down. Dirty cheat. I sure hope he gets what's coming to him. She watched as the newcomer prepared to leave, and then ran back to the others. "Change of plans; Roxas can take care of himself. What's the game plan, guys?"

Cavern
Xeryim walked back into the cavern like a war hero, dragging behind him his prize. He ignored the others for the moment, making his way to the center of their informal circle, near to Envy. He dumped the weeping Nobody on the stone, ignoring the thud of his body on the floor.
"Hello there, weaklings and pathetic excuses for living creatures!" he called, his loud voice echoing almost painfully in the cave. "How are you all doing on this dismal day? Are you all failing at your weak attempts to do anything?" He laughed. "Look upon the face of fear, ladies and gentlemen. Your bane has arrived." He laughed, giving them a mock bow as he sent a momentary glare at Envy.
He paused for a moment, without letting it show in his face, as he felt the shift in his awareness of the Keybearer. Hm, so Aros had come out to play. Interesting. He would have to consider the ramifications of this later.
He pointed at Roxas' prone body. "See how your mighty warrior has fallen!" he cried, laughing maliciously. "However-" he said, eyeing Yuffie. "As promised, only marginal physical harm came to him while in my care. Hardly a scratch, my dear ninja. Nothing for you to have worried about. All the same," he turned to address them all again. "He lies broken at my feet, despite three attempts to do me harm." He grinned at Namine. "Hello, witch. Broken any memory strands today? Destroyed anyone's lives through the memories of others?"
He laughed. We begin again.

Underworld - Central Cavern
Roxas felt his body scrape along the cavern floors but made no attempt to make it stop. Instead, his body hung limply as Xeryim continued to pull him along until they had, once again, reached the others. He was deposited on the floor for all to see. He was on display like a trophy, a trophy that glorified his successfulness to demoralize him... to break him.
Limply he sat with unseeing eyes staring at the ground. Instead Roxas continued to see the same image, the same nightmare scenario that Xeryim had created, replay repeatedly in his mind. His cheeks were still hot from weeping but all tears were spent. He was completely void of any feeling.
Xeryim began speaking to the others but Roxas half heard his words. Yes he heard sentences form but nothing he said had any meaning. He knew Xeryim was flaunting and mocking him, showing him off like a prize he had won in a carnival game. Roxas simply didn’t care… not anymore.
The boy continued to sit on the ground, staring into nothingness. He had lost. He had lost and Xeryim, the Heartless of Riku, had won.

Underworld - Central Cavern
The songstress had been surprised at Xeryim's appearance, and had been worried when the boy had followed the...individual somewhere else. With Xeryim's warning, Lenne knew that there was nothing much she could do at the moment.
If only they could get out of the cavern, Lenne knew that she would be able to call on the aeons for help! Quietly frustrated, she was contemplating Yuffie's last question when they emerged, with Roxas weeping behind him.
Her eyes widening in shock and concern, and wondering just what had been exchanged behind closed doors, she was the one to step forward. Despite her current inability to summon, she was never one to shy away, and old habits really died hard, even after a thousand years.
Bristling slightly at the mocking tone this...Heartless had exhibited so clearly, the songstress made her way to Roxas, carefully keeping the man in the line of sight and a little way in front of Namine, in case the newest arrival tried anything. She knew that she was no match for him, but the songstress had quite a few tricks up her sleeve if she needed them.
"Stop it," She said, feeling a slight tinge of fear coil in her stomach. She didn't miss the momentary glare he gave to Envy, and it made her skin crawl. That sensation was immediately forgotten when her gaze flicked to Roxas, who looked like the entire world had shattered all around him. Biting her lip, she looked back at Xeryim. "You've done quite enough here."

Tidus glared at Xeryim. What happened to have Roxas sob like that? He wanted to badly to attack Riku's Heartless and kick him sqare in the face!
"You...What did you do to Roxas?!" The Zanarkand Abe hissed angerly, baraly restraining the urge to flat out run at the man and slash relentlessly at him. No...I couldn't do that. He'll overpower me...Think, Tidus! Think! He hissed in his mind. What to do...
"What did you do to Roxas?" He asked finally, wanting to know that first. He wanted to know exactly why his friend was one minute okay and then the next thing they knew he was sobbing brokenly on the floor.

Cavern
There was something he truly enjoyed about watching everyone react to what he'd done. He laughed at the indignance he saw in the faces around him. They were so cute when they tried to oppose him.
He directed his attention first to the woman beside Roxas. "I won't stop, milady. I've hardly even begun here." He grinned at her, specifically at her, then stood and turned to the rather irritated looking blitzer. "Actually, all I did was give him some food for thought. Ask him yourself."
