She winced as he cracked his neck. "Okay," she said, although she didn't seem very convinced.
"Sure does. I told you I could help you," Eponine said lightly, smiling a little. "And you? Any good at combat?"

Sure, and he felt a bit the fool for doubting her, but not that she needed to know that. Still he stretched a little and rolled his shoulders to test the limits of the injury. "Well, I've not be properly trained either, but I'd say I've a decent hand when it comes down to a scrap or two. Been doin' it for most my life so I should hope I'd be good by now."

"Joust?" Shane looked perplexed for a moment, "You mean like with horses and lances?" He'd ridden bareback when he was a child, and a few times he'd pretended to joust with the neighbors and his brother... but he didn't know if he could actually do it.

The soft laugh turned into a giggle. "I was meaning it figuratively. Although maybe we can ask Wraith or Shee for jousting equipment, if you want to try..."
Eponine was silent for a moment.
"Well, it was nice meeting you," she said finally. She still did not offer her hand to shake. "But I should probably be getting back to my room now. I have a few more things to unpack." Now she remembered where she'd put her bookmark.

"Yeah sure." He said, thinking maybe they could just forget that... he'd probably get his arse handed to him.
"Twas a pleasure meeting you Eponine." He smiled and stuck his hands in his pockets. "Come find me if you ever want to go exploring together." He was hoping he'd be able to see more of her sometime.

Eponine nodded and offered a tentative smile back, then turned and began walking away. "Same here. I'll keep that in mind," she said, just before she reached out of hearing.
