For some weird reason I went back to watching Martian Successor Nadesico. Don't know why, not complaining though.

Finally got the chance to watch the first volume of Tetsujin 28 last night. I am so ordering that soundtrack as well as the second volume. 3nodding I'm so glad they didn't use that old "Gigantor" song again.

I friggin' dug that song! Gigantor's a space age robot!
Well, I don't think I'm watching any mecha shows at the moment, but I was struck with the extreme memory of the giant showdown between the Tank and the Excavator Arm in Venus War. That was just too bloody cool. It stirs up all these emotions. the scene's so powerful. I've gotta watch that movie again real soon.

Is there a particular reason I'm having a hard time finding Gear Fighter Dendou dvds?
I don't know how good a series it is, but I mean, the robot's design concept: heavy use of tires on the body for insane robotic agility, is notable enough.

It might help to look for Dendoh instead of Dendou. Seriously though, I do not know why it is so hard to find a complete set anymore. I think the series is absolutely amazing myself and it is easily my favorite mecha anime ever. I've lent my set to friends who have no love for mecha anime and they all devour it within a week (or a weekend).

I checked it as "Dendoh" first and then assumed the 'oh' spelling might have been a typo or that the title might have been changed to something completely different when it got imported.
I'll just give it some time and search for it every now and again. Sooner or later it should show up.
So you would recommend it as a buy? How long are the fights, on average? Is it an actual story or a "collector type game cartoon"? How much frame recycling happens from episode to episode?

It's not a bad song, I'm just tired of hearing it. sweatdrop Oh yeah, caught the first episode of Kannazuki No Miko at an anime club meeting on Sunday. The mecha designs are pretty good though the fights were terribly short. I don't remember much of the story but apparently each robot & their pilot represents a head of the mythical 8-headed dragon, Orochi.

Just recently watched Gekiganger 3. I'm half way through Might Gaine, so I'm thinking of starting Tekaman blade, or ZZ Gundam after.

Caught the latest On Demand episode of Giant Robo last night. Why do all the cool agents keep dying?! A friend tells me the Giant Robo I've been watching is a 2nd dubbing of the series.

My understanding is that Anime Works did do another dub of the series. Previously Manga Entertainment had the rights to the series and they did their own dub.
I'm sure Gunbuster will get a new dub whenever it gets out of licensing hell again.
Giant Robo has a lot of character death but I still love the series... I want more though. cry

DaiRaiOh Just recently watched Gekiganger 3. I'm half way through Might Gaine, so I'm thinking of starting Tekaman blade, or ZZ Gundam after. All I've seen of Gekiganger III are the original clips from Nadesico and the movie special that combines all the clips and then has a "movie" that the Nadesico crew watch. Has there been an actual Gekiganger series or movie made after Nadesico? I wouldn't ming watching if there's one. Gekigan Flare!!!

Doubt I'd ever order it when I have so many other titles I want to own right now.
