(( oh dear XD ok. See you. ))
Nar stands and gives a shake of his shaggy, silver hair. "Brr. I got the willies. Well, it will be a nice little jaunt. Oh, you don't have to get all dressed up for me." He laughs a little and waves him on, showing he's only joking, guessing at what he might be at. But when Vlad's disappeared around the doorway, Nar gives Iden something of an intense, incredulous look that seems to be asking What are you doing!? He's not particularly put off or distressed, really, but certainly surprised; it's something he hadn't expected in the least. How this will go down, he's not sure. Perhaps Vlad was only being moderately well-behaved for Iden's sake.
"Oh, you vixen, you. Cracking men over the head to drag them home? I thought that was a stone-age thing." He chuckles, albiet a little nervously. "I joke. Please, don't hit me. I'll come back."

In response, Iden let out a growling purr. "And the beauty of it is, I wouldn't even have to drag you anywhere, now that you're here. Saves you getting bumped along, and me from wearing myself out."
She stood then, laughing, and moved to close to whisper, "What, you want me to go traipsing around in the dark after a couple of vampires? I will, if you need me to go. I'll keep you calm."

Nar rolls his eyes, grinning. "How terribly clever of you. So a crack on the skull is just to keep me in my place, is it?"
He scratches his head and whispers back, "No, I guess not... it's alright. Just... just wish me luck."

"I think the point's more to keep you at my place." She grinned, prodding him with her elbow.
"Good luck, then." Iden smiled softly. "You'll be fine."
Vlad re-emerged clothed, simply and in black. It was hardly as though he always wandered around in the mediaeval clothing he'd..come back with, at is were, though Iden tended to find it somehow funny when he dressed 'normally.' Shaking his head, he leaned back against the doorframe again and pulled on his boots.

Naraka gives a little shrug. "Well, you're a collector after all. You know, there will be a point that your house is so filled up with vampires and animals that it will just burst at the seams. What will your neighbors think?" He looks over to Vlad and gives him a funny little smile. He might be dressed in more modern clothing, but there's something about him, or so it seems to Nar, that's just a little out of place. The hair, perhaps.
"Oh well, alright, ready? Let's go then. Good evening, Iden. I'll see you soon." He peers around for a moment to be certain he hasn't left anything, realizes he had brought nothing to leave, and then heads out the door.

((His hair's just too damn pretty. XD))
Iden snorted. "I think two vampires is enough, thanks. But eh, with my neighbors? They'd probably never even notice." She petted the bright pooka in her arms, then gave a small wave. "Soon, then. Evening, Naraka."
With a shrug and a grin, Vlad straightened and followed Naraka out, brushing a hand against Iden's face as he passed. As he came out into the hallway, he pulled the door shut behind them. "In a hurry to be out?" he chuckled.

(( is it? ^_^; ))
Nar doesn't catch the wierd little transaction, and it's probably a good thing. He's blissfully unaware of Vlad's creepiness as he steps out into the hall and gazes around. "Hmm? I suppose I am. I feel more comfortable out of doors. Anyway, it seems to me that most houses are very much the same, and I've never roamed the streets of..... er.... the town in which we are."
He pauses, hands on his hips, and looks around, frowning. "I realize I have no idea how to get out of this building. Which way are we headed?"

((Heehee. I 'unno, Nar seems to think something about it makes him look out of place. XD It iss awfully pretty, though.))
"St. Andrews," he offered. "Not that there are a great many streets to it."
"Here, this way." He laughed and headed left down the hall, making for a door towards the end, marked as 'stairs.'

(( I dunno. I think brown hair is boring. *eyes own brown hair* Yes, fairly dull. ))
"Well, wherever. Sounds more like a hospital than a town." Nar turns himself around (for he was facing in the other direction at the time) and heads after the other to the stairs, brooding silently behind his back. Trying to guage and guess and respond to Vlad without causing some kind of upset is like trying to play chess blindfolded. It only takes Nar a moment to realize that they're too similar than is comfortable. At least, the way Nar used to be not several months ago.

((Dunno, 'tis very long and wavy..it's always looked very, err..touchable (XD) and nice in his pictures. *peers at her own* I rather likes mine.))
"I suppose it rather does." Oblivious to Naraka's brooding, he shrugged and kept on his way, through the door and down the stairs. It was a few flights to the bottom. "And at times, it's only slightly more interesting."

(( The only person I'd give exception to is D. Delicious, delicious D and his magical hair of mysterious wonder. XD ))
"I'm not looking for excitement," Nar replies, trying to remain chipper and bouyant. "In fact, I am hoping there won't be anyone around. I don't feel up to chatting with the locals at present." Nar jogs down the stairs, smelling all the smells there are to be had, collecting information about the place and storing it back in his brain.

((o.o D?))
"There isn't likely to be, though there could be one or two still stumbling around. Even if there are, they're not likely to stop and chat." Coming to the end of the stairs, he pushed the door at the bottom open. It revealed an unexceptional street with a few cars parked along it, light from a few streetlamps glistening on the wet pavement. It had rained earlier. As Nar was smelling about, he could no doubt catch the smell of the sea. They were very close to it. As a matter of fact, the only activity to be seen was a lonely seagull winging overhead, a strange white shape in the dark.

(( Vampire Hunter D. He is.... the sex XD ))
The mention of people stumbling around brings to mind some kind of bar-goers trying to find their way home after hours, and the mental image makes Nar chuckle to himself. As off as the pair are, any drunken sot might consider them spectres, and the pretend drama that would insue makes him laugh even harder.
The entrance into the outside world, however, puts a stop to all his giggling, and he pauses to gaze out around him, and then up at the starkly pale bird. Seagulls bring him back, way back,to a place before he'd found himself a place to stay. When all the open ocean was his home. He gives a whistful sigh. "How fortunate to be so close to the sea."

((Ooh~, I see. XD))
Funnily enough, bar-goers trying to find their way home was exactly what Vlad had been referring to. He'd been mistaken for some sort of ghost himself on more than one occasion, and that was after he'd turned solid. Wandering up by the graveyard very early on a Saturday morning could have some very amusing results.
"Fortunate? Yes, it is that." He started to move off down the street, glancing up at the seagull for a moment, then smirking. "Though you wouldn't think it, to hear her moan about the birds being 'too damn noisy' in the morning. I don't really notice, myself." He shrugged. Evidently, he didn't find it necessary to specify that he was talking about Iden.

(( Ya ya. you totally need to watch Bloodlust. It is so sexily and deliciously animated. Wrrrr *drools all over the animation* ))
"Do you like it, then? The ocean? I've always had an affinity. Perhaps it's the wildness of it. Whoever knows what is the hold over the sailor that the sea has. The siren song." He chuckles a little. "I always liked the seagulls. Perhaps she ought to get herself some earmuffs." Naraka has nowhere to go imparticular, so he simply follows his nose, which invariably leads him in the direction of the ocean.
