It's too deep to me. sweatdrop

StateofMind, watch what you call me. I'm a mod. 3nodding

I suppose...but really, I don't mind Cait Sith's that much. sweatdrop

I imagined Cid sounding more...I dunno...I imagined him speaking like I do (Californian...but with a bit more slang...and NOT a surfer accent stare That's not what I mean)... sweatdrop

Thats why StateofMind appologized at the end of his post. He knew someone else would know.

And I had always imagined him having a more cold-blooded American voice. Not hick-ified, but like a Californian (like you said) or upstate New York kind of voice. But meh, what can we do.

Just a small joke lol
In all honesty though, would this kind of an action movie hold up to that name if these people took turns, waited for their turn and stood in formation during battle?

No but they could've at least made normal looking fight scenes. sweatdrop Maybe use some of the moves they used in the game, but in a real time battle? sweatdrop

they do cloud uses omnislash the new way.

No such thing as high jump materia...or at least not in the game. sweatdrop

And I don't think two years of leveling up is going to make someone go from running around using normal transportation, to running up walls and jumping like a flippin vampire. gonk

And Cloud was being posessed by Sephiroth in that part...I don't think he could actually fly...or else he would've done THAT to get up to the Shinra Building in the game. sweatdrop

vampire vincent is like a vampire well i guess they wanted a matrix look. lol

Yelling at Shera all the time, only truly caring about flight and space. Cold-blooded.

Vincent isnt a vampire. His abilities are enhanced due to Chaos and so on and so forth, all explained via Dirge of Cerberus, yadda yadda.

I thought it worked out pretty well. We saw Cloud use all but two Limit Breaks (Meteorain and, uhh...I dont remember the other) and all the other characters (aside from Vincent and Cait Sith) used a variation of their limit breaks in some way in the battle with Bahamut SIN.

But Shera (and the badguys) seem like the only one he really yells at all the time.

Other than that...the speeches Cid has given are pretty warming. heart Like when everyone's in the Highwind and he's telling them that they can't give up...

But it's hilarious when Barret asks Cid how he plans on doing all that stuff...and Cid just sits down and mutters, "I haven't really thought about that yet."

*music dies and everyone continues their business* rofl

Although...the scenes I did like of AC were the scene where everyone was fighting (the other characters, just seeing them made me happy), and Reno and Rude made me laugh. heart

Yea, Cait Sith's accent bugged me... Cid's did too... And whatever happened to the mog Cait always rode on? That was what really did the fighting.

As for the jumping, Cid, Yuffie, and Red XIII had the skill before, cause Cid's a lancer, Yuffie's a ninja, and Red XIII is something like a wolf and they have massive back leg power so they can run fast and jump high.

And Vincent never had a 'bulletproof cloak' in FFVII, but he did in AC, and lost it again in DoC. Along with his skin color, that was really confusing. A bulletproof cloak would've come in handy in DoC.

Didn't like the fact that Cid really didn't do much of anything in AC and DoC except pilot the Shera. I don't remember him even firing any missiles. I do like, however, the fact that they made the DoC Shera look like the AC Shera. That was a good touch.

Materia... If it was big enough for Kadaj to not be able to close a fist around it, there's no way that it would've been small enough to fit into weapons and armor in FFVII. The holes in the blade of the Buster Sword were way to small for the Materia to fit in there.

Last thing that caught my eye, the Buster Sword looked thinner and shorter in AC than in FFVII. And why exactly did Cloud stop using it?

1. The mog that Cait Sith always rode on wouldve been far too much work for the team to put together. This is also the reason we dont see more of Red XIII or Cait Sith himself, since their fur was so complicated to create and get to work right.

2. The cloak wasnt bulletproof, that was a form of Limit Break that Vincent used. Youll notice that it is much harder for him to receive damage in both FFVII and in DoC.

3. Cid was a minor character in both AC and DoC. The main characters in AC that were in the first game were Cloud, Tifa, Marlene, and Sephiroth. Vincent was another major part, but all the others were added in pretty much last minute, which created massive delays in releasing the movie itself. And the AC Shera and DoC Shera are the same ship, so itd be expected to be the same model.

4. The Buster Sword was retired by Cloud for use as a grave marker for where Zack died. The blade was the same, it was just dug into the ground.

With as long as we had to wait, they should've tried harder. I mean with the graphic design technology we have nowadays, for that wait I would've expected them to be able to make fur work right. Just look at everyone's hair. Similar stuff. And the wolves in the Chronicles of Narnia (I know I'm a dork), their fur worked right and it looked more realistic. Eh, oh well. For right now, I couldn't do any better.

Sorry, but I don't remember Vincent having a Limit Break where he still had his cloak and he still had a gun, because if you noticed, he was still shooting while the cloak was spinning, while he was bulletproofing himself and Cloud. And I thought it was fairly easy for him to sustain damage, cause he always got hit when I was playing.

Everyone in AC was a minor character except Cloud and Kadaj and the same goes for Vincent in DoC, but you still see everyone else fight except Red XIII and Cid. Red XIII is peaceful usually, so that's understandable, but Cid's a hothead. He can't resist a fight usually. I know the Shera is the same, but I didn't think they'd be able to put the same detail in the DoC Shera as the AC Shera because the graphics are usually different between movies and games, so I thought it would differ more.

Zack died in the Mako Reactor in Nibelheim if I'm not mistaken, and at the hands of Sephiroth. The Buster Sword was outside of a city, possibly Nibelheim, but it didn't look like much of a mountain range to me. And to top that off, Nibelheim wasn't a city and Kadaj or Yazoo said "Look, big brother's city..." not big brother's town. The abandonment still doesn't make any sense to me.

Which is why I said: AC was only fanservice for Sephiroth, Cloud, Vincent, and Tifa fans. SE didn't care about ANYONE else. stare

In fact I'm surprised the other characters are even in there... rolleyes

1. The entirety of AC was done on a completely new engine. AC was really the test run for their graphic engine that was designed along with the movie. Harder to do something completely new then use pre-rendered technology. The creators put everything they had into this and even more, since the final cut was originally going to only be about an hour with no secondary characters except the ones I had mentioned above plus the trio and Rufus.

2. We never get to see everything that truly happened to Vincent, but he was able to maintain his form while accessing the power of Chaos utilizing the Protomateria, as shown in DoC. And he does get hit, but it just doesnt cause as much damage as it usually would, just like the fight I just mentioned in DoC.

3. Red XIII and Cid do fight. Red XIII goes into battle with Cait Sith on his back and does the larger amount of damage between those two. Cid is in there for a while, jumping around and attempting to impale Bahamut SIN. One specific was he stabbed the thing in the head to save Yuffie from being blasted.

4. Zack didnt die for a good 5 years after the Nibelham incident. He was the reason Cloud got out of the Shinra Manor and the reason they made it to Midgar, even though Zack was shot and killed on the cliff that we see the sword in just outside of Midgar. And since I know this will come up, Edge is the city now instead of Midgar. Edge was built up around Midgar since Midgar was left uninhabitable for the most part due to Meteorfall.
