Obie continued to stroke her fingers through his hair long after his breathing evened. The smile on her lips never once faded as she listened to his soft, even breathing. Kissing him lightly on top of his head, she rested her cheek against him and soon, happily followed him to dreamland.

Ra woke to the sunlight streaming through the window, warming the bed despite the airconditioning. Cracking his eyes open he smiled at obie who lay fast asleep next to him. She looked so sweet and peaceful.
Waiting for the fuzzy feeling to clear he cuddled up close to her and buried his facr into her shoulder, inhaling her scent. He'd half expected to wake up and find the previous day had been a dream.

"Mmm," she purred softly as Ra shifted against her and wrapped her arm tighter around him. Normally a morning person, she was being stubborn about waking. She was so toasty warm and she was half afraid that if she opened her eyes that it would all disappear and she would be back in her bedroom, alone.

"Did you sleep well?" He asked croakily, tilting his head up to place a light kiss on her jaw. It was the perfect morning to compliment the day before. Relishing the tightening of her arms around him he closed his eyes again and pulled the covers back up higher.

Smiling at his soft question and kiss, she snuggled closer to him.
"Very," she murmured. Slowly she lifted her heavy lashes and smiled down at him before placing a soft kiss on his lips. It had been real, she thought happily. "How did you sleep?" she asked, shifting to press herself closer to him and wrapping a bare leg around his under the warm covers. She never wanted to move again.

"Like the dead as always." He smirked sliding his hand to her back. He could feel the fuzz of his medication induced sleep shifting slowly. Sliding his hand down, over her hip to rest on her thigh he kissed her again, slowly.
"Would you like some tea or anything?" He asked as he broke away from her lips.

Obie smiled into the kiss, enjoying the feel of his lips against hers and his hand sliding down to her thigh. When he broke the kiss, she opened her eyes again and thought about it for a moment
"Tea sounds good right now," she answered him, bringing a hand out from under the covers to run her fingers lightly over his face.

"I'll be right back." He said with a broad smile as he slipped out from under the covers.
Smiling to himself he crept out into the kitchen and put the kettle on. He searched the cupboards for one of his grandfather's blends of saffron tea. He found the small wooden box behind Scarlett's extensive tea collection and set about making two glass mugs of tea. He smiled to himself again, everything still seemed slightly surreal to him.

"Tea's served."He smirked kicking the door shut behind him and handing her one of the mugs. "Secret family recipe." He explained easing himself down to sit on the bed and pulling the covers back up.

Obie watched him slip out of the room, then smiled and shifted slightly to lie in the warm spot that he had just vacated. Hugging the pillow to herself, she dozed lightly as she waited for him to return. She had never in her life felt such a strong feeling of contentment.
When she heard the door open, she opened her eyes again and sat up sleepily, her normally stick straight hair sticking out at some odd angles. She didn't even care. She took the mug from him and breathed in the aroma as he settled himself beside her and adjusted the covers over their laps.
"Truly?" she smiled over the edge of her mug as she took a small sip. She closed her eyes at the warmth and flavor that filled her mouth. It was nothing that she had ever tasted before. "It's really good," she smiled over at him as she opened her eyes again.

"Truely." He smiled adjusting the pillows to they could sit back against the wall. "My grandfather's" He said holding his arm up for her to move closer. He blew lightly on the hot liquid and took a sip. The taste reminded him of home. "I'm glad you like it." He said smiling down at her.

At his invitation, Obie moved closer so she could lean comfortably against him. Cupping the mug between both hands she took another sip, then turned to place a soft kiss against the side of his neck.
"Did you have any plans for today?" she asked, resting her head against his shoulder.

"I was about to ask you the same question." He laughed as he sipped his tea. He liked the simple comfort they seemed to get from each other. "Did you have anything in mind?"

Obie laughed with him and lifted her head to look up at him. "Well... I do believe that I owe you a lunch. So I was thinking that maybe we could move to my room when you're ready for that and I can make you some real Mexican food," she smiled. "Or if you're hungry now, I could even make you breakfast," she offered, watching him over the edge of her mug as she took another sip of her tea.
"Other than that, I have nothing specific I need or want to do... except spend the day with you again," she admitted with a warm smile.

Ra smiled down at her ans squeezed her shoulder.
"I like the sound of mexican." He said resting the mug on his leg. "I haven't really had it before."
He turned his eyes to the window where the sun was rising to its full height in the morning sky. He decided to ask something he had been reminded of whilst out in the kitchen.
"Obie, the baseball guy. Do you think he'll mind about us ... Scarlett said something about him having his eye on you."

Obie continued to sip her tea as another silence fell between them. When he said her name, she looked back up at him, knowing that what he was going to say would be half serious. However she had been umprepred for his question.
"You mean Tomoki?" she questioned, then fell silent for a moment. The thought hadn't even crossed her mind. She dropped her eyes to the mug in her hands. "Um... I'm not sure?" she said uncertainly. See... this was the problem with jocks. Things got blown out of proportion and you got shoved unwillingly into the spotlight. It made her slightly uncomfortable that he had heard something like that from Scarlett when she hadn't even spoken to her a long time. Rumors and gossip in general made her uncomfortable.
"I mean... I know he likes me, and I thought maybe I might like him too. But he's always so busy with baseball that I haven't really gotten to know him well enough for him to mind I think. Plus... he's sweet and all, but he and I really didn't have anything in common," she said, looking back up at him.
