Samantha stumbled once more into the wall, cursing and clutching her head as she waited for the dizzy spell to pass. She'd been having these spells more and more frequently in recent days. She'd passed from initial worry that something was wrong with the transplant, that her body was rejecting the organs....to irritation as she realized she had no other signs than random dizzy spells. And a little nausea.

Then again, her gums had started hurting only yesterday. More...her teeth were hurting. She'd thought it was a change in the weather aggravating their sensitivity at first...until it'd turned into a constant ache. More annoying than anything, she'd pestered the staff until they'd brought her some Tylenol she'd started herself on immediately for the pain. It'd receded a bit, but it was still there. She knew it.

After the dizzy spell passed, she hurried to get a glass of water and sit down before another one could attack. This was getting hella' irritating.

The further problem that plagued her...

...what did this all mean?

Uh oh...Ms. Hakan doesn't look happy today...

Then again, who could blame her? That's a heck of an overbite there...

Subject #001 has exhibited the following physical changes thus far: elongated canine teeth; thickening and sharpening of fingernails; change of ear shape, including pointed tips.

Behavioral changes will be observed and documented at a later time.

Summary: Samantha finally emerges from her room, pointedly heading to the cafeteria in make a scene and look for interesting reactions to her new look that might provide further clues to the mystery. Upon arrival, little happens except she notices the silver-haired Azriel dozing at a table...and sporting claws.

Summary: The first meeting with her original friend in the labs, Samantha is surprised to see what has become of Raena. Upset by her depressive state more than her appearance of scales instead of skin, she tries her best to improve her friend's state of mind, all while dealing with these changes herself and unable to outright lie.

Seeking Out Answers

Other Characters Involved: Warren? Zubatman? Err...no...Fred. Yeah, Fred. Oh, and Phil Butters.

Summary: Meeting number two with the mysterious Mr. Voice-From-the-Forest-Behind-the-Fence leads to new discoveries...or at least confirmations of suspicions. Sam reveals her changes to the voice and snarky exchanges follow as before. It is revealed that indeed, the 'guests' of the labs are subjects of a new method of DNA therapy; one that combines the DNA of Pokemon and humans in a single individual. The voice suggests, in his way, discretion and calm. The subjects should not panic or turn to violence; frustrate and keep the staff off-balance by behaving. Of course, Sam is irritated enough at one point to punch a poor, defenseless tree...but this is Sam.

The end of the meeting leaves Sam with a piece of bark with the word 'spaghetti' carved in it that was flung at her head...and exchanging words with a lurking, sleezy janitor. Now, to try and put the clues together to follow up on this mystery...
