This is now a sticky. Wherever the original poster is, I hope he feels joy, and I hope I get a lot less threads requesting penpals cluttering up the Cap'n's forum. The cap'n has free will to reverse my decision as always.

I'm so happy to have a Japanese penpal now. It's so cool!
I met a girl named Fumi through the Glory Be website and we've been emailing each other for the past few days. Hope the site can help everyone else find one too ^_^

This is pretty awesome. I have been looking for good penpal sites for a while now. I used to have a couple, but the contacts were lost, and the website I got them from are now fee-based.

Yay Japanese penpals! Though they never do seem to last. sweatdrop
A little before I joined this guild I joined Japan guide and posted an ad. I got like 3 or 4 responses. Yay! Though, after about 2 messages they
stopped.
So I waited a while and decided to post another ad. 8 responses! eek 6 were Japanese 1 was Korean and another was some really old guy from South Africa. Well, I've lost all of the Japanese penpals. Luckily, I still have the Korean one. (I didn't bother to message the one from South Africa. Too creepy.)
Recently I've tried "Glory Be". Hopefully I can finally find a Japanese penpal that will last!

does anyone know the site http://www.interpals.net ?
You can also get penpals there form over the world ^^ what means also Japan of course ^o^ and you can help people with languages that you talk etc.
I like that site very much, I've made a very good Japanese friend there ^^
