Memory was a heavy sleeper. But she was always the first one in the house to wake up, mostly because the others all liked to sleep in. She was some what awake now, and she discovered why it was so nice to just lay around. She cuddled closer to Lux, expecting him to be much larger as usual, but something was diffrent.

Lifting her head, she blinked the sleep out of her eyes and looked at Lux, and surprisingly, she didn't have to look up at him. She got confused, "Lux...?" She rubbed the sleep out of her eyes and got a better look at the one beside her. It was another fox! She lept up and scampered away, her fur puffing up a little bit. This fox was the same color and had the exact same markings as Lux... but it was a fox. "Where's Lux?!"

Feline watched and her heart fell. "No.. no.. look.." she looked around for something. "Hold on!" she called, rushing out of the room, through the lab, and into her closet. The blue fox was probably confused out of his mind.

Feline returned with a large mirror, which she placed on the wall beside the two foxes. "You're a fox now," she murmured, and stepped back. "...It really worked."

Lux blinked and looked at Memory. "I don't know, the human may have done it.. I.. am not sure." He touched the mirror and blinked, tilting his head to look at himself. He was indeed a fox now, just like memory was, only without the wings. He leaned over and sniffed at her, nuzzling her a bit. "Is this bad? Is it bad I am like this? It hurt, and I fell asleep, you were warm and comforting, and now I am like this." He was still very confused, but Lux just wanted to make her happy.

Feline smiled at the two of them and left them alone. She sighed, dreamily, and glanced down at her clipboard that lay on her counter, already stained with accidental spills she had during the night. The ingredients were listed in her neat yet rushed handwriting. "I wonder if this would work on all dustlings.." She looked up and raised a brow. Vestakia had just begun to come down the stairs, yawning. "..Vest, come here."

Vestakia, sensing impending doom, fell over herself in order to clamber back upstairs.

"Come HERE!"

The touching little moment was quite suddenly interrupted by a small, gold-coloured thing slithering in through the open window. The little creature thumped to the floor, made a tiny cry as it recovered, then skittered up and made a beeline for the door.

Just behind it a large, dark-turquoise head pushed the window open and darted forward to grab the baby Serpent by the tail. The little creature cried and tried to pull himself forward, as the much larger being lifted him up, and ended up knocking several articles of furniture over.

The larger male Serpent, noticing the two foxes getting cuddly, blushed and said around the baby's tail, "My apologies, little ones. Aure, well, he's a trouble-maker. I'll be going, now."

With that, the Serpent withdrew his head before he did anything else even slightly embarrassing.

Professor Feline wasn't particularly busy at the moment, and the unexpected shouts caused her to nearly jump out of her skin. As Krissie, Caiden, and the others followed her inside, Vestakia slinked in as well, a coy smile resting upon her snout. "What what what?!" she cried, stumbling over herself to come over. She noticed one of Caiden's legs seemed a little... awkward, and she wasn't sure what to do. "What happened?"

Feline's mind cogs slowly shifted into place, like rusty clockwork. "Oh! Here, here--" she left for a moment in the back room, and reappeared with a wheeled bed like the ones in professional hospitals. "Set him on this."

A few of her own dustlings came in to see what all the ruckus was, but they weren't really interested. Enivali, however, was staring up at him with a frightened look in her eyes.

"Broken bones, you say? Did he perhaps fall, or get in a figh-- Vestakia, did you have anything to do with this?" Vestakia looked up at Feline and gave her a "who, me?" look. "I'll need to take him into the hospital wing of the lab. It's barely been used... but it's a good thing we have it." Feline led everyone into the white section. White walls, lights, tiles, beds, windows... everything. And it, of course, smelled like alcohol and rubber gloves.

"I'm not sure you'll want to witness this part," Feline told Krissie, "it's a bit difficult for owners to watch their friends' bones being set back into place." As she spoke, Remoran, her black, gold, and red dustling was preparing a cast and nudging her box of anesthetic needles towards her. Remoran was making a fine nurse.
