At her hand on his shoulder he swam up to the surface, taking a breath of air before looking over at the female. Raken had armored up again, looking much like when Fre had first met him. "What do you want?" The male asked cooly.
OOC: o.o ouch, I think this is the most he's ever been hurt. ;___; poor raken!

This time she wasn't going to let him push him away like that. Without hesitation she pressed her lips right against his and wrapped her arms around him. She knew she was going to get pushed futher away because of this, but at the moment it just didn't matter; in fact none of it matter. Gently she pulled away, shaking. "That's what I wanted."
((O.O Oh gods, I was like trying to keep her from doing that...but you know characters. They have a mind of their own. *is nervous for her* Gods what's next...my story characters suddenly just admit their feelings in only the first installment...nah! I can still keep them in-line...sorta.))

eek eek eek It was all he could do to keep from sinking in the water. "You...but...I...how...what..." A dark blush spread over his face, unsure of anything. His heart was racing, his blood singing and for one reason or anouther he actually enjoyed that. Kinda....sorta......................only that. Right?

In anticipation of being shoved away Fre had taken a big gulp of air and srinched up her face. When he started babbling she opened one eye tintitavely and smiled at what she saw. Gently she pressed a finger to his lips, "For once, just don't think about it." A blush spread out across her face as she stared right into his eyes, her smile growing wider at the minute.
((That face looks exactly like how I felt! If my eyes could reach the floor, it'd be perfect. lmao, now that's funny. Mayhaps it's a sign? lol))

"I-I uh..." He dived deep under the water, trying to cool off his burning face. That fre! What did she do to him. He shook his head, trying to rid himself of the tingle on his lips. What was wrong with him? He needed to read.

Fre sighed, he was gone again. She contemplated just staying where she was but that wouldn't do. It'd give him time to put up his wall again and right now, at the moment she was feeling the most vulnerable, she didn't want him to shove her away. Quickly she dove down after him, for the first time determined to have his love. Underwater she grabbed his chin and once again pressed herself against him, this time not breaking it off because she wanted to see what he'd do.
((I had a thought, as I was thinking about this...but it'd be horrible for poor Fre if he gained elder status. Then he'd be with Jazz and well...Fre'd probably be very unhappy if not mopy about it. Just a thought...*nods*))

A shiver traveled down his spine. It was times like these that he regretted not spending the time for aquatic shadows. But he didn't push away, not immediatly anyway. So shocked, he was frozen until his burning lungs demanded more oxygen. Raken pushed away slightly to kick off of the bottom ground, gasping for air. He waited for her to surface as well.
OOC: true. But all of my pae have a thing with once they fall in love, they cannot love anouther. So no multiple gf's for them. If she continues to press, forcing him to see what is front of him while his defences are currently ripped away, she might have a shot. But it has to be now else he would never get soft enough for her to get through to him again.

Fre could feel herself starting to get dizzy; she wasn't sure if it was the excitment and rush he gave her or if it was the lack of air in her lungs. When he didn't push her back she could feel this flood-gate open, happiness from a deep corner of her being opened up as she held him. By the time her lungs were screaming in pain he had let go and she followed suite. All she could think about was holding him, being held, and kissing him. When she reached the top and filled her body with air once again she could feel the dizziness leaving her, but the tingle was still there. Part of her felt like she was going to drown, the other part just wanted him near, but all she managed was, "Hold me."
((Well, that's a good thing then! ^_^ I just kind of had the thought while I went over it again. Plus she's good at forcing...if he doesn't hold her she'll hold him. With Fre's nature, and her determination at this point, unless he's really really really pig-headed she'll be sure to get through.))

His mouth opened once before closing again, heart thumping painfully in his chest. To think. All of this because he had wanted fresh air. What was going on? Why couldn't he just swim away? It would certainly be easy enough to escape..."Why me?" He whispered. "I spend most of my days reading or training. I'm not your type at all...so...why me?" Love was illogical. He had to steer clear he had to he had to he had to!
OOC: poor raken, he's so conflicted. It's so cute! lol

Fre was finding it harder and harder to stay afloat. Her head was swimming and her legs were cramping, any moment now and she'd fall in. "What does type have to do with this? I love you because I do; there's no rationalizing it." Her head kept dipping in and out of the water. "You love your sisters, don't you? Do think about why you love them? You love them because you do, not because you can name reasons to." Finally her head sunk under the water and she couldn't seem to find the strength to kick herself back to surface. I didn't want it to be like this.. she thought as she slowly felt herself losing conciousness.
((lol, I know! He'll figure it out...he wouldn't let Fre drown, would he? o.o))

Love?! She...She...lo-O_O she was drowning! Diving under the surface he reached out and grabbed her by the wrist. Swimming back up, he wrapped an arm around her waist to help keep her afloat. He coughed slightly before heading back to the coast. Do you think about why you love them...you love them because you do not because you can name reasons to. He shook his head, pulling her ashore. sweatdrop Hopefully he wouldn't have to do CPR

She was only slightly aware of what was going on. His hand around her wrist, his arm around her waist, the feeling of the air on her face, and then the soft sand beneath her. Rolling her head over she spit out a bit of water and turned back to look at him. "You love them because you want to, don't you? And that's what I want," she said weakly. "I love you because you're not perfect and because you're not my 'type'. I love you because I want to, because I do, and because I can."

He closed his eyes, relieved that she was alright. Now if only his heart would stop thumping so hard... "What do you want me to say? You claim you love me because you so wish to, does that mean that I want to love you-?" Oh........no. Did he just say...what he thought he said? No. No no no no no! Not only does love complicate matters, the thing itself was preposterious! He had only known her for what, two months? No no no! He couldn't except it he wouldn't!

"I want you to say what you want to say," she held a hand up to his cheek. Inside she felt paniced; what if he refused her? What if he didn't love her? Her insides were so knotted up and she was glad that her power couldn't show him that. Fre tried to remain calm and tried to breathe, but her head was swimming with all the what-if's. She didn't know if she had the determination to keep after him if it was only one-sided. "Tell me what you feel, not what you think. It's the least you can do to keep my head from spinning." She offered him a weak smile as she looked at him.
((Yeah really. Glad I never dated anyone like....wait...never mind I did date a guy kinda like him. Man that sucked...never expressed himself until I broke it off.))
