.... It's actually a low shine satiny material... but it looks reeeeeeaaaallllllyyyy shiny because I had the flash on...... sweatdrop remember the first sketch that I posted.... earlier this morning... well this is that skirt... it's actually the front and I want to place a nice bow in the back..... I had seen a few skirts with the tiers in the front instead of the back so that is what I obtained the idea from.... it's missing the ribbons as well that are suppose to pull the over skirt up into a slightly greater curve at the first tier of the underskirt....

^.^; ah so its the front. It looks sorta odd for a front, in my opinion. Normally tiers are in the back. I have never seen skirt with them in the front. I think it would look better for the back but that is just me ^.^

It might but then... I'll have no idea what to do with the now front......... meh.. oh well.. it's still changeable so I'll decide once I get all the lace and bows on... just not the one in the back...

wow thats nice! and not all too hard to do. the skirt you dont need to take out, you just need a good petti because it looks like if you shorten it there is enough to go around and make that bell shape. you 2 bows at the waist kinda look like my meta. you cant really see em... but ugh mabe a pic would help with ideas... ugh. I like your design

My skirt from earlier is now almost done--after sitting in the "to-do" pile for quite a while.

Please ignore the crappy petticoat [makeshift quickie for the sake of seeing if it'll poof okay] corset and shirt--I wanted to show just how much this skirt flairs off of my hips, but didn't have a regular old shirt that showed it very well.
I'm also going to add a bow above the gathers in back--but I can't decide if I want maroon or yellow. What do y'all think? Should I just make one of each and have them be detachable?

That's what I was thinking--I'm also working on a little maroon vest and maybe a tie to go with it. I'm not sure--either a tie, or a bow to go 'round my neck and pull the yellow up there, too. We'll see!
But...yes. I've got to figure out what to do about a petticoat before I worry about that part. I'm going to try and make one using the pattern I got [which works similarly to the top skirt], and if I fail, I'll order one from elsewhere.

I really like ties. I small/ mini one would be adorable. I say mabye maroon with a yellow stripe and then maroon bow in center of stripe and the ends that meet have the same trim as the skirt. I did a litte skech. not maroon trim. im just to lazy to change colors. have you worn that dress yet?

I was thinking either that sort of tie, or a floppy old bow for around the neck. I don't have many "collared" blouses, most of them have little mandarin-style ones instead. In any case, I'll see if I can find some nice marroon ribbon to match the fabric.
And...le sigh. I haven't worn it out yet, no. I don't want to do so until I have a decent petticoat to put under it--the yellow fabric a bit thin and the dress doesn't -quite- poof in back like I was hoping.

I'm currently pondering the idea of making a loli-ish furisode thats in the Gosuloli vol. 6 I'm just cant find an obi that would look good with the fabric DDX I so suck at picking out obis, everything else I'm good at but not obis. I'm thinking of this fabric link <3D: its pretty expensive but I think I would wear it for my 18th b-day X3 gah so close (sorta...)
