I didn't like the video that much. Personally, I felt the song didn't fit with the story. Good video, but not for Green Day. It was a bit bland, no excitement, and didn't have an ending. If anything, it could've been better. *shrug*

I agree, that was exactly the reason why I didn't like it, I mean, come on! That video is also way too long! Seven f****** minutes!

a video should just be something to avoid having a blank screen while the song plays, these days songs sell on videos alone, no wonder everyone hates mtv, a video shouldnt be longer than the song, whats the point of that?

I didn't like it because it stopped in the middle of the song for her to ball her eyes out about him inlisting in the army. What a b***h... he's fighting for your ******** country so be proud!

no, he isnt, no-one fights for their country, they are generally lied to and are fighting for a dictators greed. The moment you choose violence over peace you bring shame to yourself, the moment you choose the higher ethic of non-violence then you can have pride in yourself.

it was kinda boring and they didn't show much of green day and i was kinda looking forward to watching them actually play wake me up when september ends. it was mainly about a couple and the guy has to leave for war and she'll never leave him and yeah...all that lovey dovey stuff! the footage was pretty frightening to watch because it had scenes of what really happens currently in war so I give it a B++

I was extremely disappointed by the video. It wasn't what I expected, and there was too much talking.

Duh-leted.

i was gonna give it a A-, but then I thought of how it gives us the thought of the soldiers in Iraq right now and how many have served for our country and how many of them hasve passed away from the gory and brutal war

Mah... on the one hand I thought there was waaay too much talking. But then I think it's pretty cool that they could blindside everybody with such a different way of doing a music video. I think they were pretty cool by not having themselves in it so much. I think that in like 5 years, everyone will look back and realize what a cool concept it was.
Edit- after looking at some of the first few pages... I realize.. yeah.. it is kind of cheesy. Bleh. To be honest, t'wasn't my favorite song off of AI anyway. Much rather would have seen Letterbomb (listening to it right now... "She said I cant take this town, Im leeavinnnng you toniiiight xd ) or Jesus of Suburbia.

wow, you must be one big bush hater. I think joining the army represents you serving your country, serving all the people that compose your country. And I'd be honored to join the army and fight for the peace of thousands of people.
