Case Uno: I drop my case and the flute comes spilling out mid-air.
Case Two: We had like a 13 measure rest so obvisouly we were in rest position (my band uses the across the lap rest position) and my flute slides off ogf my lap during th emiddle of the song. mrgreen

Oh my lord...I have a nice story for you all.
It was my first competition of the year (yay!) and I was putting my flute together when it slipped and the part where you attach the foot joint dented. xp Well, I managed to hammer it into shape. So, we get to the cometition...then, my clumsiness continues. I trip, fall, and the flute goes flying. It landed on rock hard cement. (And I nearly break my leg in the process) sweatdrop Luckily, nothing too serious happened...
That was about six monthes ago, and I have yet to fix my flute. 3nodding
EDIT: Oh, and today I dropped my flute three times....while I was playing! sweatdrop

SedatedVenom187 one time i greased my corks really well because i had a long concert to play, needless to say, my bottom joint (clarinet) fell off onto the ground.. my band director lookd at me and shook her head.. then there was the time i put my clarinet on my music stand... use your imagination...then ther was the time i sat my clarinet on the floor standing on the bell.. use your imagination..then ther is the time that i broke down into 2 sepreate joints(like youre supposed to when u need to safely leave your clarinet some where) and laid them on my (folding) chair, they both slid out the back of the chair. Luckly for me, out of all of these and onthe incidents, my clairnet has survived it all!!! without even having to be taken to be repaired once!! I LOVE my baby!! wow

One time, the orchestra was sitting on the risers for a performance, and in our orchestra the clarinets sit in the back, on the top riser, and I put my clarinet down to buckle the strap on my shoe, wiggled the riser, and dropped my clarinet in between risers. The conductor started the orchestra about 3 seconds later, so I had to sit, looking stupid and not playing, for the entire 5 page piece.

. . In the top two bands at our school, it's mandatory to have wooden Buffet clarinets...between 2500-4000 dollars, depending on where you buy them. They have lovely leather cases and all...and the guys in the clarinet section will slide them across the stage to their seats with as much force as the can. >.> Idiots.
But in our band, especially during marching, our top two BDs don't care how you hold your instrument, just keep it safe! O.O The newest band director came from a school which is more...military, or, as we like to say, nerdy, and so he's always asking us to put the instruments at parade rest and what not. The other directors glare at him because it always results in broken reeds and things. s n o w

Haha.... One time, right before a Football Game, we were practicing and I forgot my music in the Band Room. So I asked my friend who sits next to me ( a Trumpet ) to hold My Bari Sax. When I got back, it was on the floor and it had a huge dent in an important key. I never let him touch the Bari Sax again.... rofl I never marched with it after that either. Switched to Alto for marching. 3nodding

I've always been very protective of my clarinet even though it's older than any other in the section and I bought it for $80..so that gives you a hint as to how great it is.. I've had three incidents in 4 years. The third year I had my clarinet, I was hurrying to assemble it and when I grabbed my mouthpiece it flipped out onto the floor and chipped very badly and I had to buy another one. Earlier this school year, the band was playing at the football game and we were winning which led to a LOT of playing.. The spit really started flowing and the lower half of my clarinet fell completely off and out of the stands. Luckily, nothing was broken and a Kruger kid ran down and got it for me. The third incident happened back in January when the band was playing for a basketball game. I put my clarinet behind me with my jacket and Hannah's clarinet. Someone from the flag corps.. (God, help me...) comes over to sit with the band and steps on my mouthpiece and breaks my ligature................SO aggravating. The flag corps aggravates me ALL the time. They aren't useful for anything. When it comes to the cheering section at our school it's BAND, SPECTATORS, ANNOUNCER, CHEERLEADERS, FLAG CORPS. Yeah..the flag corps is actually worse than the cheerleaders.. GRR. Anyway..it happens..accidents are inevitable.

Needless to say I couldent play it and I had to get it saudered back on....I feel sorry for it
