This is partly why I play RuneScape. It has shoddy graphics, and it can get a bit monotonous, but it's well thought out and well designed. It's far more entertaining than gaia, usually anyway. The servers are always working too.

It actually plays pretty well, and you'll be ok with the crap stuff to make a small profit. Just stick to the Bassken lake.
If you take it seriously, you'll want to get the strength rod plus, as it's the best one.

Shiney Overall? Not really. It's amusing though. 125 gold really isnt that much to play, and if you fill your bucket you make about 50-60 gold if you just catch guppies. It's not as good as posting for gold, but it's basically free to play after 4 times, and you're in profit.
