As Issildia slowly came to her feet along with Demitri a chilling voice echoed though the aneirian's mind. "How entertaining this will be to see how this plays out Zarian...to see you return the favor in leading to her death just as she led to yours.."
"The only thing my existence shall lead to Ryera...is your destruction." replied an equally icy voice that resembled nothing would have been even associated with Demitri Zarian. It seemed that his long years of wandering the realm of the Dead had brought about a great change in the former anierian's very nature.
~Damien Ryera stood within the stood within the snowbound lands of Enathai deep in a trance when his consciousness was violently forced back into his body. Cursing avidly as he came to his feet, Damien's thoughts briefly gave way to the possibility that his new puppet would prove to be more trouble that his worth. None of his subordinates should have retained the strength to drive him from their minds, but anomalies came about every now and again and Damien would not worry himself with such trivialities at this present time.~
A brief ripple of silver fire heralded the reappearance of Issildia and Demitri outside of Celeste. "Draw back, the city is taken!" Issildia shouted to the remnants of Hykoshi's soldiers that still clung to the battlefield. Demitri remained silent at her side as they both resigned to the fact that they would have to wait before gaining the chance to fully accept what had happened and why he had been brought back to this realm. "Fall back with them, we will sort things out later." Issildia said with a thread of worry inching into her voice. Without offering retort Demitri turned to do as she asked, leaving her to gather the remaining ally warriors.
As the soldiers fell back the scattered front lines of the enemy troops moved forward to catch the fleeing soldiers. Suddenly a line of dark azure fire shot across the field baring the path between the enemy and the retreating troops. The flames grew in strength as they flared higher forming a flickering sapphire wall that barred the Infinitus' path. Issildia stood in the center of the inferno as she watched the enemy pull back to the city, briefly sensing the familiar auras that waited within. The Horsemen had arisen again it seemed; forming a new alliances that had ultimately created the group known as the Infinitus...whose motives still remained cloaked in darkness.

Though Issildia had not done it intentionally, she had seperated Hykoshi from his retreating men. He smiled, however, when he saw the infinitus retreat. He flicked the blood off of his sword cooly, and sheathed it, picking up a shield from a fallen ally. He looked to issildia, and though they would not meet eyes, he thanked her inwardly.
gerdad struggled in the retreat, his wound truly besting him. He clung to his young companion as they retreated, muttering about the next world all the way.

When the barrier of flame had been erected, Chimera took the moment to sheathe his blade, and provide leverage for his injured comrade-in-arms. All throughout the trip to safety the old man never once stopped bickering about the "next world". It was sad to say but there was no such thing as a next world in his encounters with Death. Only a momentary sleep, and a mood lifting rebirth.
"Come on old man, you're too stubborn to die now!" he said, hoisting Gerdad carefully so that he could maintain a better grip on the injured warrior. Before he had even helped Gerdad, Chimera had caught a glimpes of Hykoshi who had been trapped behind Issildia's flame-like barrier. The look on his face seemed thankful that he had been separated and left to defend his people by fighting the Infinitus on the inside of the city.
Is he truly content with fighting them alone?

As the remaining ally soldiers drew back in retreat the darkened sky above flickered with lightening, with a resounding clap of thunder following in it's fiery wake. Issildia watched on silently from behind the wall of flame as the scattered front lines of the Infinitus surged forward towards the barrier. Wordlessly she raised her left hand as if in signal, immediately the sapphire hued flames fell back and dissipated. Another roll of thunder rippled through the sky as she spoke.
"Leithio i philinn!"
Suddenly the tense silence that followed the crash of thunder was filled with the high pitched hiss of uncountable arrow shafts whistling through the air.
Arrows bathed in poison and fletched with ebony feathers suddenly descended upon the advancing front lines of the Infinitus. It seemed that these projectiles had been released with precise intent as each shaft found it's home in he corpse of an enemy warrior.
As many of the soldiers collapsed to the ground,a number of the retreating Infinitus turned back to defend their brethren, their numbers increasing dramatically upon the attack.
A Eruchîn, ú-dano i faelas a hyn, an uben tanatha le faelas." Issildia said coolly as cloaked forms armed with bows as well as a slew of other light weaponry rushed past her position in a torrent like a river of obsidian. It seemed that every Iliriya within traveling distance had answered the messages sent out before the battle. But it was to be expected, this was the only life they knew; for they belonged to the battlefield.
"Sabela, secure the area...get the wounded to safety...and deal with any that bar our path." Issildia said quickly to a young grey eyed celtarie archer that had not yet rushed into battle with her clan fellows. "Of course." the celtarie answered mildly with a curt nod. "And what of that Hykoshi character...you are allies, yes?"
"Leave him to his own devices, but keep a guard on him...as of yet we do not require his death...you have your orders."
The dark haired celtarie archer bowed briefly before her form dissipated into the darkness.
(Translations= "Leithio i philinn!" = Fire the arrows! A Eruchîn, ú-dano i faelas a hyn, an uben tanatha le faelas." = Grant them no mercy, for you shall recieve none.

Hykoshi had fended off a few of the Infiitus, barely keepig the life in his body, when the arrows let fly, He was glad he had the shield, and raised it, most of the arrows thudding into it, as he intuitively blocked any hazardous to him. It was mainly luck that saved him. He lowered the shield, and tried to drop it, when it wouldn't fall. He looked down, and one arrow had pierced the shield, and entered into his left forearm. He turned pale, and ripped off the shield, the broken arrow stuck in his arm.
Gerdad laughed, delirious in his exhuastion. He had noone to tell, but he had caught a terrible fever some months ago, and now was feeling it's affects fully. He sat back against the small earth barrier, and breathed hardly, "Clean me up, boyo."

"You're feverish old man...why didn't you tell anyone?" he asked with slightly irritation in his voice. Yet he did as the old man asked, reaching into his belt pouch for a towel and some bandage wraps. One of the nearby allies had provided him with a bucket of warm water, and was discreet in using it, gently dabbing at his wound instead of simply whiping away the blood. Gerdad's wounds seemed moderately deep, but if properly taken care of it wouldn't be too life threatening. All the stubborn old man would need is a nights rest and plenty nursing, and he'd be as good as new....or in his case good as old.
By then Chimera had finished wrapping the wound, he set a moist towelette on his friend's forehead, and set him down onto his cloak, which he rolled up to use as a makeshift pillow. He was then able to show the man his own armor, which he had patched before his encounter with the clan. The young man wore old, cracked breast and shoudlerplate armor. the edges were embroidered in silver and the rest of it was stained with old blood, whether or not it was his blood or his enemies, even the Striker himself need not know.
"Get some rest old man. I'll join the rest of the ranks and find out what the next strategy is..."

As the army of the allied clans made its retreat, Tyranius stood normally. His skin still hardened with the stone that represented his being, he glanced at the sky, watching the arrow fall upon his men. They were forced into a retreat of their own as he made crossed his arms once again. As they drew farther away from the city, he was joined by a familiar figure once again. The man, Emmilious, and his blood red stallion, Crimson. He needed only shake his head in order for Tyranius to acknowledge his order. Whatever their reason for avoiding the pursuit, it was enough that Tyranius did not display any form of disagreement.
"I assume all is prepared." Said Tyranius.
"Yes. The Ritual will begin any second. It would be wise to remain clear of the city until it is complete." Emmilious replied.
"I see. So he is holding far more power than his body can handle?" Tyranius suggested.
"In a sense, yes. But that power will soon be ours." Said Emmilious. "The Lord onl has one tasak for you. Keep a watch over his concubine. She will prove to be a nuisance now that she has seen him alive."
"Ah. So Aurora has a soft spot after all." He said with a detectable satisfaction. "Leave it to me. She will not hinder our plans."
"She had better not. Or it will be you who pays for it."

As a group of Infinitus swarmed towards the injured Hykoshi a trio of dark forms leapt to stand between the soldiers and their target. One of the group was Issildia herself, the other two were of azerian decent and quickly grabbed Hykoshi by the shoulders and helped him to his feet. As this transpired Issildia turned her attention to the Infinitus. Suddenly the air grew cold, as the breath escaping their lips condensed in the air to create a visible fog. Issildia's eyes were clouded over with white as the very air around the enemy soldiers rippled with an unseen energy. It seemed apparent that after the night's events she was no longer holding back her ability to manipulate the energies that permeated the Veil. Suddenly the soldiers very own shadows took on a life of their own and spiraled up in a sudden movement to wrap tendrils of vine like darkness around their owner's necks. There was only a brief struggle before the small group collapsed to the ground and the air returned to normal.
When Issildia turned back to Hykoshi her eyes had returned to normal but she openly restrained her anger no longer; the Ryera were once again bringing about ruin, and Azure was still held captive.
For a short moment she seemed to register that Hykoshi had been struck by one of the lethal arrows, with a subtle gesture one of the azerian Iliriya withdrew a small vial of a clear liquid and offered it to Hykoshi. "The antidote to the poison...drink it." Issildia said shortly, her patience quickly disappearing as the enemy troops fell back, to most likely launch another attack.
At that moment a flare of silver fire arced above Celeste from within the city walls. "Kyrion..." she murmured, noting the signal that he and his group were in position.
"Take my forces and keep the Infinitus occupied Hykoshi...If I do not return...pull everyone back to Sevadia, let no harm come to the capital...it can not call under Infinitus control." Issildia uttered sharply.

Azure had lost consciousness some time ago, only this time he had no idea how it had come about. He had awakened to find himself crucified to an emblem that he did not recognize. The restraints were those of a material that could only be found in the Nether Realm. This was a disturbing discovery indeed, but it was nothing ompared to what he had found laying on an altar below him. The body of a fallen warrior had been carefully placed at his feet. His dark skin and hair reminded him so much of his own. The markings on his body were that of an incantation that was meant to remove the soul from one's body. In that brief second he had suddenly realized why they had gone through so much trouble to keep him alive until now. They were not looking for him...but the entity that slept within him. To all who had come in contact with him...he was known as Origin...however, he possessed a name of his own...
"Azrielle..." He said with disbelief.
"I'm glad you two are acquainted." Replied a deeper voice in a cold tone.
"Yige. Why do you have Azrielle's body here? You do not dare place Origin's soul within him." He threatened.
"Azure. In all your wisdom you have never solved your own riddle." Yige taunted. "Azrielle is Origin's true body."
"You jest."
"Not at all. Why do you think you could never control his power? The body of a dragon, was not enough to control the darkness that he represents. You may be the son of Astralena, but you are still only a mortal."
"You are preparing to commit a great sin Yige."
"Perhaps, but how can Hades be punished?"
What do you hope to accomplish in releasing him? Origin cannot be controled by anyone. He will destroy you and all that you represent."
"Say what you will, but you will not live to see it happen." He threatened as he turned toward Aurora. "Commence."
As Aurora looked at Azure, she could only smile at him. In truth a part of her weeped for what Azure was about to experience, but her more maniacal persona would enjoy the pain he would suffer at her hand. She had begun to read the incantation that had been marked upon Azrielle's body as the sky had become covered with black clouds. The more she read, the more powerful her words became. The clouds themselves had begun to churn about the sky as if they were a black hole. From the vortex of these clouds, there came a single bolt of white lightning which tore its way through the dome of fire that covered the city of celeste, and struck Azure's torso. His agonizing and demonic shrieks could be heard for miles as the lighting passsed completely through his flesh, and made contact with Azrielle's body. The impact filled the room with a blinding white light, and caused the clouds to spread across the region.
Outside of the city, there the battle still waged on, Tyrianius only looked up at the sky as these clouds spread across the landscape corring it in a veil of darkness like any he had ever seen. He had commanded his army to pull back. There was no need to pursure the retreating army any further. Both he and Emillious had known what this turn of envents stood but the soldiers themselves were wrought with confusion. As Aurora finished her incantation, the lightning had finally disbursed and the light that filled the room faded. When she looked at Azrielle, his body was still sparking with electricity which now took on a darker hue. She was indeed satisfied with her work, but the sight of a puddle of blood caused her to change her opinion.
Both she and Yige stared up at the structure where Azure had been crucified, and they both were at a loss for words. Azure's torso had been burned hideously, leaving only a large hole where the lighting had struck him. His eyes were solid white and his skin was pale. His body...motionless as he hung in his place. Yige could only release a maniacal laughter as Aurora slumped to her knees with her hand coverring her face. yige had felt some form of satisfaction as his subordinates lowered Azure to the ground. He walked over to his body, only to find that his soul had already passed fromt his world. He had finally accomplished what he had been tasked with so long ago. Azure of the Cold Fire was finally....dead.
((JUST so everyone knows....there is a reason behind this event. DO NOT JUMP TO CONCLUSIONS!!!!))

Hykoshi had staggered back, ready to fall fighting when the Infinitus advanced on him. Luckily, Issildia Nevar had saved him. Hykoshi's amazing natural innumities were strong enough to fend off most poisons, but the poison in the arrow was foreign enough and potent enough to nearly make him faint. He took the vial and took a quick draught, tucking the vial into his pocket, and thanking the person holding him with a nod, taking to his own two feet again.
Never had Hykoshi been oneto take orders. Though most of his villagers didn't know, he had risen to power more by force than anything else. It took quite a bit of resolution fromHykoshi, but he bowed his head slightly to the younger Issildia, and smiled softly, "I just need the names of your officers." Right after he spoke, the lightning tore through the air, the earth shuddering about them, Hykoshi barely keeping his balance. His eyes widened, and he whispered to himself in a foreign tongue.
Gerdad lay there for a long amount of time, his old eyes listlessly searching for his son who had died long ago for the clan of the Golden Sword. He smiled softly, as he fell asleep laying in the muddy grasses of the hill.
A field commander was shouting orders at the highest point of the hill. A human clothed in dark brown leather and stone armor. He had a long ponytail tied back and trailing in the wind. Men were being dragged to the very back of the line, those who couldn't walk. Gerdad one of them. He was commanded an entrenchment to be fortified, and so far, the small wall they had used as cover was growing sturdier and Taller by the minute.

((I hate f@cking being sick...= =...but it won't deter me from rping with my friends...))
Chimera recognized the man as a commander the moment he saw him barking out orders to other fellow warriors. From the looks of things, they were building up a defense so that they could tend to the wounded. Even still he didn't waste any time to approach him.
"Sir..." he paused, focusing his mind on remembering how to respond to the presense of superior officers, "What are your current orders? And who is in charge in Hykoshi's absense?" Chimera remained calm and poised in a respectful stature, however his blades were still very bloody and would need cleaning once he recieved his orders from the Field Commander.

~From his position at the edge of Natori's Southern Expanse, Kuroha could hear the shrieks of his brother. He knew those screams better than anyone, and judging by the rapid fade of aura, he was convinced that his brother was no longer on this plane. This did not bode well for their cause. Kuroha, as calm as he was deadly had decided to abandon his brother's orders and proceed back in the direction of Celeste. He could see the fleeing army in the distance but this was of no concern to him. What was known about Kuroha was that he is usualy a calm and composed individual. He fights with the strength of 1000 men, and he is far more sinister than even Azure. when he is angered however, he becomes more focused, and collected. His ferociousness in battle is unmatched and once he has made an enemy he does not rest until they are delivered to the abyss for judgement. As he reached the clearing he found that his pace had quickened. He was now in a full sprint, the dust becoming unsettled behind him. He was in no mood to toy with the peon in front of him. His only target was the cause of his brother's demise...Yige Yingzi.~

As the lightening flickered through the sky, Issildia's attention was suddenly drawn away from Hykoshi as she looked off towards Celeste...with a deepening sense of dread. No words could be offered in response to what had just transpired, but one thing was for certain, the rage that she now felt was equal to or perhaps even greater than the moment when she had witnessed Anier be burned to cinder and ash. “Fall back Hykoshi...this is no longer your battle…See to your people and keep them safe, for life is barely worth living should you lose them.” Issildia said darkly as she continued to look off in the direction of the city her anger rising as the air around her began to distort as her aura shifted slightly to assume that of the realm that she oversaw.
“Ianterea…Amin khiluva lle a' gurtha ar' thar…Drana crymm pa hu aclyba.” She uttered in a language that was neither Anierian or of the celtarie but something else all together.
As she grew silent a second bolt of lightening lanced overhead illuminating the battlefield with its harsh glow. Though when the light faded, Issildia was no longer there…
Moments later a small group could be seen standing within Celeste, one was Kyrion, standing off to Issildia’s right…arrayed behind them were the group of Iliriya that had infiltrated the city earlier.
“I’m sorry Issildia…we were unable to bring an end to it.” The azerian said stoically.
“One thing you have yet to realize...is that death in only the beginning, especially for the likes of Azure...This is far from over.”
(Language drawn from varying dialects of elvish- Ianterea…Amin khiluva lle a' gurtha ar' thar…Drana crymm pa hu aclyba.- My foe, I shall follow you to death and beyond, there shall be no escape.)

Hykoshi simply nodded in response, and turned to the armies behind him. "Retreat! Cover the wounded until they're clear!" He rushed back to the crest of the hill, and looked back to the city, feeling a terrible change in aura. He nearly fell, a sudden and violent headache tremoring within his mind. His nose sprung a stream of blood, as he turned back. "On the double!"
The commander heard Hykoshi's order, and turned back to Chimera. "Look, kid, I am the field commander under Hykoshi. You heard the order. If you can fight, your the last to leave." The man himself turned to Hkoshi, the able-bodied forming a thin wall along the crest of the hill. Many were transportersof the injured, and were currently moving them in some sort of cart or stretcher, back towards Llewelyn.

((This might be my final post, I'm shipping out tommorrow morning, but I can definately say I enjoyed roleplaying with all of you, and perhaps if I'm lucky, I'll show up again to continue rping with you all. Until then, final post...))
"Understood...." With that Chimera joined the thin ranks of able-bodied soldiers. Many of them seemed fearful after seeing their leader's bloodied return. Whether it was out of spite, or simply honor bound codes that chined them together, they remained behind to defend thier clan while the injured were carted off. A clear blue blade then whistled in the air, drawing the attention of those near Chimera. Another, one of the b*****d swords Gerdad had lent him soon joined his left side before his shouts filled the air.
"Fear not death or it will weaken you! Fear nothing and you will become that much stronger! Be strong for your clan, your family! Hold nothing back, our enemy deserves no mercy!" he said, knowing from experience that fearing nothing with add to the strength of the warriors he joins in this thin chain of strength.
"Show them the strength of the Clan of the Broken Sword!"
