"so nice of you to finally join the conversation." Chloe sipped her coffee. Something caught the corner of her eye and just in time she was able to see a man in black sprinting down the street holding what looking to be a purse. Chloe gave clark a quick nudge on the arm and turned to the woman across from her. Chloe quickly thought of a distraction that would take the woman's attention away from Clark. "You know they didn't put in my extra shot of expresso I'll be righ back" as Chloe got up from the table she took a plung 'accidently' spilling her coffee on the woman. "Oh i am so sorry!"

Clark hesitated for a moment but as soon as Chloe spilled his coffee on the women he quickly stood up and went speedy before anyone looked to see what was happening. He ran outside looking both ways for the man in black. He quickly dashed for the man and tackled him to the ground taking the purse out of his hands.

chloe mopped up the coffee and looked over her shoulder for a sign of Clark. "I am so sorry ma'am. I'm such a cluts, i was getting up and my foot got caught and- oh i am really sorry. Can i offer to buy you a drink... or a scuba suit?"

She looked at Clark and smiled "Nice to meet you...names Jennifer." she heard what Chlore had to say and nods. "Sounds great..I'll take any kind of job for now." she giggled lightly. "Smallville does sound nice..but I have to save money." she thought a moment. Then watching the two a moment and feeling warm coffee on her shirt. "Hey what the!.." she said. "It's ok.." she sighed and thankfully had on two shirts. "Good thing I over dressed." she said after having slipped off the shirt.

Clark walking back to the owner of the purse and gave it to her. He looked back for the man in black and saw the police must have seen it happen when they were driving. Clark walked in a alley then super speed back inside but in the bathroom grabbing some paper towels. He rushed back to Chloe and Jennifer and handed her the paper towels. "Uhh here." He gave a friendly grin and went to the bathroom to get more to help Chloe.

Chloe handed the woman the paper towels. "Eh...here you go...no offense but considering i really don't know you that well, i would ind it relatively uncomfertable to dab your shirt. So if you will excuse me for a moment i am going to go clean up the mess i made on myself." Chloe walked briscly to the bathrooms, ignoring the men and women signs she pushed open the door to the mens room. "Clark? Clark?" she said.

She nods lightly thankfully her papers were safe. Folding them up and placing them neatly in her backpack. Hearing Chloe's comment she nods lightly "It's quite allright.." she zipped up her bag and dabbed off her shirt. "This'll never come out..Oh well I can use it to paint or do pottery..so no not a total lost." she giggles lightly "And I'll never forget the color coffee is.." she mumbled lightly.

Clark was getting more paper towels when Chloe went in. He was shocked that she went in the men's bathroom. "Thanks for covering me." He smiled. "Here" He gave her paper towels realizing there was no more. "Well, this will clean everything up."

"ah, thanks." she said giving him a smile and taking the paper. "Call it my journalistic quick wit. So what happend out there? did you find the guy? hang him up by his pants or something?" she said taking a small peice of the paper towel and dabbed a part of her shirt. Just then a guy walked out of the bathroom in the coffee house uniform and stood shocked at the sight of Chloe. "...what are you looking at?" Chloe asked him and the guy ran out. "Ok... that was gross....he didn't wash his hands! remind me NOT to grab my next Latte from him. So fill me in on you Hero of the day save you had there."

She sat back down and sighs lightly "I hope I don't spill anything else on me..or have someone do it for me.." she shook her head. Taking out the paper and looking over it again wondering about that waitress opening. "Nutters..I forgot ask about that job..I don't know where the Talon is.." she sighs lightly and slapped her forehead lightly. Grabbing a notepad from her jeans pocket to jot down some notes with a red ink pen.

Chloe sat waiting for Clark explanation crossed her arms and realized she was still holding the wad of paper towel. "hold that tought for a second" Chloe ran out of the bathroom and handed the towel to jennifer. "Here you go... i um, am just going to check if there is any more" and Chloe hurried back to the bathroom before Jennifer had any time to protest.

She saw Chloe run over with a towel holding a paper in he lap. Seeing the towel dropped on the table and nods "Thanks..the table is sticky.." she folded the paper and put it on her seat a moment to clean the table. Mumbling "Blonde and slow..how she got into journalism is anyone's guess.." she shook her head again.

Chloe ran out of the Bathroom once again, this time with out warning. She grabbed her bag and jacket and ran out of the door to the street where she looked both ways , when she saw the commotion of police officers, she figured that was where Clark caught and left the guy. as she ran towards the scene she was speaking into a digital voice recorder step by step. "Amature criminal caught and stopped by annonomous Kansas farm boy." she said into the device.

She sighs again and mumbled to herself she smiles lightly. Still searching threw the paper now clean and dry. Her dirty shirt tucked beside her bag.

Chloe pushed her way through the crowd that was now surrounding the police car. Chloe saw the guy who was being escorted to the police car, it was Jack Jameson one of the most notorious Metropolis criminals. Chloe became confused... why was a head honcho like Jameson doing his own dirty work? Chloe, like all the other reporters on the scene started shouting out questions at the Sheriff.
