Stareshine looked upon Kanati with a mask of confusion and joy. Slowly a smile crept across her face and she moved forward. Pressing her muzzle to his own, her indigo eyes gazing deeply into his. After a long moment she spoke, her voice a whisper. "Kanati... have you considered that the spirits brought us together? we both where alone in the world, You Wise and calm, me.. nieve and blissfully so. I dont think I could part from your side if I wanted to. You ceased being my Teacher long ago, and became my compaion, my friend and ally. And... if that goes on past even that, then my heart would leap at the chance. However, if it doesnt, I am content in knowing you and honnoring our friendship as it is. "

Kanati's stared into her eyes in that moment of silence. His eyes seemed excited, but afraid and yet they seemed so full of love. Listening to her words he felt such a fool blind to what the spirits may have truly seen for him and Starshine. He was silent for what seemed like hours after she had finished. His muzzle still touching her's as the wind blew once more blowing their manes so they seemed to mix together as one long mane.He watched this out of the corner of his eyes still not really breaking the staring contest between them. "Wise.......hardly it seems this time you are the wise one. I was blind to the fact that the spirits may have meant us to be, only worried about my selfish disires and my fear of change.Dear Starshine forgive me for the way I have acted and rush not to an answer, but would you care to consider me your...boyfriend?And I to consider you my girlfriend?" At this moment he would have said mate for life, but he feared it as he did many things about being close to another. Kanati's eyes blinked in curiousity of her answer and the anticipation built up inside him, he twiched slightly holding everything in.

Starshine couldnt help but smile at his words. She knew he was finally speaking from his heart, and that his actions latley had been due to the confusion there in. Her tail lightly flicked against the ground as she stared into his eyes. Her cheeks burned with a tender passionate blush and she nodded her head. "Yes." she said, the simple word threatened to choak her as her heart lept as it left her lips. Never has she imagined that this could have happened to her, her head was swimming and she let out a soft giggle. She was happy, the danger of the pale faces left her mind and all that dwelt there was Kanati and his calm serenity.

Kanati chuckled at a lost for words still wondering when and if he was going to suddenly wake up from this dream. Kanati stood still for awhile still he moved his muzzle and gave her a peck of a lick his eyes looking around abit as though he was afraid he had down something wrong. He blushed though feeling quite giddy he felt himself again. He felt calm more at one with his surroundings. His throat didnt feel so dry and his heart felt more constant now that he finally knew how she felt. "I...I..Love you Starshine." he said his voice weak at first, but his voice returned to its deep almost echoing self by the time he had said her name.

Her heart paused in mid beat as those words left him. Her blush deepened as he lightly caressed her muzzle with his own. Her eyes closed as she slowly exhailed, her breath a warm and tender embrace upon his neck. "I love you to Kanati." she said. Her voice was that same tender whisper, but there was a deep passion lurking behind those words. A passion she had known was there but had kept carefully at bay. Now it was free, and it threatened to make her explode with sheer joy.

Kanati closed his eyes and nuzzled the side of her neck taking a step closer. He tucked his head on top of shoulders his heart racing with delight that he had finally set himself free. "Im sorry it took me so long Starshine....." He whispered to her his voice calm and deep again as the wind gently blew around them. Which he embrassed remebering it was the thing that had brought them together. It was the wind and the spirits who wished them to be. For a moment he felt foolish again, but the excitment that was in him was to much to dwell on the thought of being foolish.

Starshine sighed softly and pressed herself against him. His body was strong and warm to her touch. His warmth seemed to seep into her body as she closed her eyes again. "You said it when you where ready... " commented at length. She would have waited until the moon and stars no longer glittered in the heavens to hear him speak those tender words.
The wind caressed them, her hair the liquid rainbow that danced etherially around them. This moment was timeless, and she could stand here forever if the spirits allowed it.

Kanati sighed happly rubbing his neck agaisnt her's. He too could have stay there forever, but that was not what the spirits wished for. His ears twiched slightly because the voices were low at first.
"S Halewista. S Halewista. Tla siwu utsoasedi." ((It stopped. It stopped. No more Trouble))
"Doeu?" Kanati said simply lifting his head from Starshine. ((Truly?))
"Nvwadohiyadv gvdodi hia aniyvwiya unatsi ale hia gadohi tsvgilisi." (( Peace with the people of snow and the land's children))
"Hia soquilli?" Degewi said looking happy and shocked at the same time. ((The soquilli))
" Nvwadohiyadv." ((Peace))
"Its over Starshine. The pale ones are peaceful.." Kanati said nuzzling her.

Starshine slowly opened her eyes as something seemed to be distracting Kanati. His ears flicked and his hushed tones appeared to be asking questions. She longed to hear what he could hear, but from the elation on his face she could tell it was good news. When those words left his mouth she could only smile. All the fear she had felt, all the horrable things that had crossed her mind all left her. It was true nothing would ever be the same again, but now she could see that it was all for the better. "Im so glad..." she said, her golden horn pressing lightly against his flank as she lowered her head. She felt weak now, as if the fear and adrinaline that had corsed through her body had been the only things keeping her standing. She lightly leaned against Kanati, party for strength and partly for comfort.
