[We're in a Tornado warning; probably for the next while. Power kicks out and exams are coming up; so I'll definately be slower then usual. XD; Which is pretty sad ...]
Much had happened. The boys were drunk; Mitchell was tired of staying sober. His mind kept wandering to Elissa; f**k it!
Squeezing through the crowd, he made his way to the bar. Hoping over it, he searched through the bottles. Hmmm ... Smirnoff Twist? No ... Sour Puss ... Yesss.
Taking the bottle, he opened it and swiftly took himself a generous shot. In his hurry to get back on the dance floor, he nearly dropped the bottle when he went to close it. Thank god for goalie reflexes.
Placing the bottle back on the shelf, he jumped over the bar.
Whoa!
Too fast.
He made his way to the group once again, with only little difficulty. Ouu, were Gaius and Sophie hooking up? Saweet.
This was pretty much the first time he's ever talked to Gaius and already ... there was something about him. He gave Mitchell the image of a brother; an older brother ... like Marshall was to him. Was it possible? Could Mitchell find an adoptive family on this island? True, he did miss his two older brothers. But ... he'd never see them again. Could Marshall and Gaius possibly replace them?
It was then, Mitchell's thoughts were cut short.
Sophie collapsed.
's**t man! What happened?!' Mitchell got down on his knees and he could smell the Vodka; it was impossible to mistake that smell ... but it was weak, so she couldn't have possibly passed out due to alcohol poisoning or too much alcohol in her system.
Mitch's gaze shot up to meet Gaius', 'We need to bring her to the side. It's not safe in the middle of the dance floor.'
It was then, she started to awake.
Mitchell listened intently. Did she have sleeping problems or that disease where you pass out a lot?
'No, Sophie! Stay.'
Looking up at Gaius, he glanced at Sophie. It was a clear sign that said, 'Do something; tell her to stay, whatever!'
For some reason ... Gaius and Sophie just fit in Mitchell's mind.

Gaius didn't need any urging. Catching the hand on his shoulder and wrapping his own behind her back to support her, the fluffy-haired boy of a man wasn't about to let her wander off alone; she was a nice person, and he wanted to get to know her better as a friend. The last thing he wanted to do was leave some poor, helpless - an exaggeration, but he wasn't exactly thinking clearly - girl alone on a dark night amidst so many strange people.
"It's okay, Sophie! We're just glad you're not hurt or anything," he reassured her. "Come on, we can go back over to the bar and get you some fresh air, then we can find something else to do. We don't have to dance!" Gesturing with his head for the others to follow him, Gaius began leading her out of the crowd. Noticing her limp, Gaius furrowed his brows in concern, then with a quick bend and a grunt, picked her up beneath the legs and carried Sophie in his arms back to the bar.

Gallen rushed over to the bar to see how was Sophie, he hated seeing people hurt and was concerned for her.
Hey guys, how are you Sophie. Gaius you lug, you wode her so well she fainted.
Gallen playfully nudged Gaius, still concerned for Sophie and her well being.

Gaius blushed at the nudge, scratching the back of his neck in his nervous habbit. Somewhere in his mind he hoped he hadn't over-stepped his boundaries and blown his first impression with Sophie. All he wanted to do was help people, not upset them! Glancing around at the others, he hoped someone else would be willing to take charge after the fiasco with his dance idea.
"Eh heh... So! Um, something not-dancing then? Anyone got a suggestions?"

Marshall bit his bottom lip, trying to find some thing they could all do that wouldn't make Sophie light-headed or faint. It was scary enough the first time, and god knows he did NOT want it to happen again.
He looked around the room; the nearly-empty snack table (Thanks to Gaius...), the dance-floor, some couches pushed to the corner (which currently housed a certain wolf and his girlfreind smooching), and finally, he noticed a forgotten Microphone, attached to both a large Amplifier and a Television Screen. A smile spread across his face.
"...How 'bout Kareoke?"

"K-kareoke?" Gaius glanced to the setup Marshall had noticed and shook his head slightly. The buzz he was under was strong enough to get him dancing in a crowd, but there was no way he was going to go up in front of everyone and sing. It'd be easier to get Jamal to tap-dance in a pink tuxedo.
"Er, uh, maybe if you guys want to... I shouldn't sing..." he stammered, taking a step backward, a nervous half-smile twisting his face. "I'll just listen or something..."

"oh come on Gaius, I am sure ye have a great voice. Hey how about this, I go up there with ye, and we sing together, and Marshall will come too, since it was his idea." Gallen patted his lower back since Gaius was much taller then Gallen.
It had been a while since Gallen had sung, his last practice with his little under ground band group was about 3 weeks ago before he had been brought to the island, and he had yet to find anyone to sing, let alone practice with.
((No radio job and/or jaming in band makes Gallen go, something, something, something xp ))

A smirk painted itself along Mitchell's face. Kareoke! The idea was luff! Mitchell had a band back home; s**t. They probably had to find a new lead guitarist and back-up vocalist. Ah, whatever ...
'I'm in!'

"Works for me."
A smile lit up on Sophie's face: however mismatched she was fated to be in the dance department, she actually had a decent voice, and had played in quite a few school plays in her time. However, that was a secret she'd keep until after they'd heard her sing: after all, she wouldn't want to brag in the case that she messed up. Besides, humbleness made for a better friend.
"So...who's going first?"

"Well I guess I will go, since I offered to help encourage Gaius." Gallen walked up to the machine and looked over the book sitting next to it. He looked through the book and soon found the song he wanted. Typing in the code the machine started to play the music and the words cam up on the screen. It was Alice Cooper's Might as Well be on Mars. Gallen started to sing, he was pretty good, couple flats, but he defiantly had a voice, and stage presences.
As he sang he moved and swayed as if he where on stage before a hundred person audiences. It was like old times with his group. Their last show was at the underground rock festival where they ranked 25th place out of 50 bands. Man he missed his old life.

Sophie clapped enthusiastically as Gallen finished his song: in all honestly, she hadn't thought he would've been that good. "Hey, guys, can I go next?" she asked, finally enjoying herself for the first time since she'd entered the room for the party. She pulled up a stool next to the mike, then looked at the book for her song. Of course, her first choice would've been a broadway song, but it seemed to be pretty out of date in terms of musicals, so she picked a more recognizable tune.
As she took the mike and sat on the edge of the stool, she seemed to take on a calm prescence, and she smiled, somewhere in a happy place at performing. She waited for the introduction, then began: "A long, long, time ago...I can still remember how the music used to make me smile..."
American Pie: of course Sophie would do something like that.
It actually turned out to be a nice complement to her voice: unlike many female voices, hers was a mellow, airy tone that lacked the whine of so many of today's modern singers. True, not a voice that would do good in records, but not all that bad either.
As the music faded, she quickly resumed her seat, slightly blushing from having put herself on the spot. What would the others say? After all, she hadn't sung in so long.

Gallen whistled and clapped as Sophie finished. Man she was really awesome. "That was amazing, maybe after these two go and Mitchell, we could do a duet? If that is ok." Gallen grinned as his eyes turned to the excited Marshal and red faced, totally embarrassed, ready to bolt for dear life, Gaius.
"Come on ye two it's yer turn." twisted
(( I saw the pic, so it is time these two eraned that pic LOL))
