"Yeah, that name totally doesn't suit a mature, grown man like me anyway," Rin said, trying to hold in the smile. "We should never ever call me that again." He glanced in the kid's direction, and noticed that he didn't seem to believe them.

#1 grunted at him, "Idiot, you're no where near mature!" He said a little louder, "I should use the nickname, tally....Mc...tallstien....cause you're...tall...you tall dude!" Laughs nervously at the kid, red marks now clearly brightening his cheek.

He frowned. Allen was much too observant to let this slip-up phase him. he finally signed. Genie probably was a nickname. But not from a bank. It was more likely a code for... something. Probably something he didn't want others to know about. he signed, refurring to his habbit of keeping to the shadows.

"I'm no worse than you are," Rin agreed, shoving him lightly. He tried his best to forget that the kid obviously knew something was up. He cracked quickly under pressure, and the kid asking for the truth was nothing that he needed right now. His comment was, of course, followed by an awkward silence in which he couldn't help but pay attention to the kid.

#1 scratched his face, "Erm...well the truth is." A lightbulb popped over his head, and pointed at Rin, "The truth is he's trying to run from his crazy ex-girlfriend, whose name is Genie. And I just happened to be dating her, but she dumped me on the spot when she saw Rin. Because she wanted to go out with him again. And so, that's when I decided to tease about it with him." He grinned trying to look convincing about his made up story.

He raised an eyebrow. he signed finally. He obviously wasn't satisfied, but he knew he wouldn't get an answer - not yet, anyway - so he dismissed the subject.

#1 sighed, feeling really guilty for not telling the kid. He smiled sheepishly at Rin, he wouldn't really believe them anyway. He followed Allen into the Aladdin casino, to see what all the commotion was about.

Allen was snatched immidiately by his mother, who clutched his arm tightly. She was a well-known beauty, but she was haughty and overly protective of anything that was "hers." He frowned, but didn't make any move against her. "You're late!" he said, tossing back her long, silky black hair behind her shoulder. "The boss needs everyone. Some drunk idiot and his friends decided to have some fun with some of the girls and pretty much destroyed the whole place when they refused."

#1 replied with a grunt, "That's the 5th time this month. I hope it's not the same idiots." #1 had to deal with these folks alot, so he was use to it. He always had beep for security, and talk to the idiots out of it. "Are they still around?"

"They ran off, but they won't be comming back in time soon," she said with an evil smile. "I have some rather... incriminating photos and I'd be surprised if all they're ribs are intact. Glad I taught the girls martial arts, aren't you?"

Rin stood around, feeling useless again. He really disliked both standing and being useless. His eyes met Allen's again, and he saw a similar sentiment there. "Is there anything we can do?" he asked the woman. "Allen and I, that is. To help out." He could think of something #1 could do, but he would never wish for anything like that and thus Rin was powerless beyond his normal human capacity.

A cold shiver played up #1's spine, "Definatly would help them," he said chuckling. He turned around and rolled up his sleaves, "Alright...I'll go help clean up. Come on Rin, you and Allen can help around."

Her blue-green eyes flashed in his direction. "Who're you?" she demanded, pulling Allen closer to herself. If he could have, he would have groaned, but but that was impossible. He grimaced instead, focusing on trying to maintaine circulation in the arm his mother was gripping.

"Oh, um, this is my friend Rin. I never introduced you? Oh, well he's just came in town. Anyway, he's my best friend," he waved his hand, "I assure you he's as gentle as they come." #1 sweated a little, he was always a little scared of this woman.

"Nice to meet you, as you heard, my name's Rin," he introduced himself. "I'm a friend of Allen's." He heard #1's groan as his escape failed. Now he was in for it, obviously. Rin signed sloppily, happy that Genies were required to master basic language adaptation before being let loose. His vocabulary was limited mostly to what he could gather from watching Allen, though. It was frustrating to him that the kid didn't "speak" more often.
