"You Fn moron!" Carl yelled as the explosion stunned the beast. It probably couldn't be helped, they didn't expect to run into a beast of this magnitude.

A mass of submachine gun fire sprayed the beast from the door, then O' maley lobbed a phosphurus at the creature, the grenade was designed to cling before burned, and it would burn intensely, eating through that things flesh. It wouldn't explode. A few frag grenades were lobbed in were the damage had already been done, so their smaler explosions would barely do any more harm besides cracking the already compromised chamber. Meanwhile, one clip after another was emptied into the creature.

Another scream, and another blast or three. The beast started to struggle to get to it's feet. Now, it turned to the direction it was being attacked from, and O' Maley became a target. The thing began rushing off, quickly slamming off of a wall to get as close to O' Maley before vomiting at him, the sound of sizzling flesh retching out.

If O' Maley were hit with the vomit, that would be the end, and he would be eaten away by projectile enzymes which would turn him into liquid s**t.

If he weren't hit, there would see a large dent in the ground that would smell like day old jumbaligha.

Furthermore, the sound of hissing could be heard in the far off. An approching opponent? What now?

O' Maley was hit dead center in the chest, chimera enzyme soaking him. There was no scream, as his body melted almost spontaneously. When it was over, only his fingers remained outside the puddle. They were.... twitching.

The others chose to fall back, luring the creature into the gunpowder filled room with their small arms and submachine gun fire, were Bill had taken the C4 and was busily planting it.

The watcher flew deeper amidst the chambers, to identify the source of the hissing.

The monsterous critter followed, just as expected. It wasn't a bright freak, but a freak of momumental power. Right now, they had chosen the perfect tactic. But lets see how all plays out, shall we? The beast follows close through the storm of bullets, moving slower than before.

And the little watcher? As the watcher flew about, it'd eventually find a release valve to freak tanks marked at three minutes and dropping. It would not be long at all before there would be a flood, and a big problem. One fully formed freak was one thing, but what if there were more? And how long until the little ones could get to moving. Dur'em could have a serious problem on their hands, not to mention Carl and Bill.

It was all up to the team that remained, but the watcher flew back to the battle scene to stay with Carl and Bill, if this caused havoc, all traces of their connection to Yaits Corp would have to be removed.

BOOM!!!!!!!!!!!

One freak BBQ, six packs of C4 going off in a room loaded with wet gunpowder, with the team taking cover well away from the explosion to avoid any acid backwash. Now, if there was no cave in, it would be time to see if they could prevent a total disaster even though they didn't know one was imminent.
PostPosted: Sun Jun 11, 2006 5:40 pm

Splatter!

The powder room was no more, and there were guts all over the place that smelled something like a three week old shrimp cocktail. No more on that. Ew.

Moving on through the embers, one would need to hurry, because time is running out fast for the freaks. If time rums out, it's a fairly definite that the team will die, and Dur'em will almos assuradly be attacked.

Hurry Bill! Carl! For Great Justice!

The watcher inserted a needle into the back of Joaquel's neck, inserting a thought and then withdrawing for Bill's hat.

"We have to get inside, fast, or all hell's going to break loose,"
Joaquel said, and made a break for it. Bill and Carl followed, albeit reluctantly, they followed.

From a monitor deep inside the facility, a man chuckled. "Let's whittle these chaps down, shall we?"

Joaquel would have plenty of time if he were running full tilt, arriving with plenty of time to twist the heavy valve shut. The problem being that there would be a five second delay from when the valve was shut to a burst of flame right around the area one would twist it shut would fly up and engulf anyone standing in the way.

Hopefully, Joaquel can smell oil well.

Okay. That valve had five seconds. Not two months.

So, when Joaq and Bill and Carl ran at the valve, it popped and the Freak Valve released. All of the crazy Freaks let loose. Death death death death.

Murder.

And Dur'em was destroyed.

...

POP!

Carl woke up in a cold sweat, his face dripping as he looked around. It was four in the morning, and his Cell phone had a message on it. The mission was canceled.

"Enter phase 2. Halycanos is dead, and with any luck at all, the DNA sample will be sufficient for the cloning project."

"Sir? Will we be able to successfully make work with these? And what about the other three units?"

"That was the plan, doctor. You'll be using all our samples. We're going to have something of a reunion."

"Between who?"

"A few old friends." Vidunder was happy, because his psych on Griff was begining to work. Now, no, he did not feel that Griff was a threat. On the other hand, it was amusing, ******** with the souls that used to reside in his old world. Griff and Terran would be tonight's activities. "Now..." He said, walking into the Biotech lab, "...Are the cyborg remakes completed? I just need D-9842 and K-3561."

Two men in thick gas suits nodded, looking up to their commander. "Yes sir. They will be opperational within the hour. We can launch this second, but they probably won't be able to complete their missions."

"Go ahead and give it the full load time, then head them out. I want the targets wounded. Not dead. No need. In fact. I want them brought back. And remember extra control on Dante. Knives was a fairly simple individual, but Dante was fully sane, so his control will not be so easy." Vidunder exited the hall, still in his tuxedo as always. Tonight, he had planned, was the begining of his reign... The plan was simple, really. A series of clones, all of which would serve as a severe problem all around Gaia.

"Soon... God will resurface. And I will become him. I will become Etinifni..." He finally stepped out of the mouth of the cave after much thought to himself, looking up to the moon. "You hear me, God? I will take your place. Seven gods is six too many."

~~~~~
"Test subjects for Humanoid Cyborg Restoration D-9842 and K-3561, prepped for launch."
"Outstanding. Target K-3561 for South Barton. Landing site is not specific. Believe me. The target will come to us." Vidunder began, sitting in a rather overdone throne. Admittedly, he could have made a more comfortable and more functional chair, but honestly, what is better? Comfort, or intimidation? "Target D-9842 needs to be aimed directly on the roof of the Zahngried Building in Dur'em. I want him to level everything."
"Sir!" A helmsman responded, pressing a series of buttons and codes that were gibberish to the naked eye, but had a very direct message. Two tubes shot two seperate pods, which were sent out in opposite directions.
Continuation at Dur'em.
Terran was the first to come to, his eyes waking slowly as he looked forward. There before him stood four beings. On either side of him were an Avian and a Wolfman. "...Ungh...? Dan...te...?" Terran moaned gently, and then everything snapped into clarity. Naturally, the Vampire went to power up his flames, only to be blasted by a non-elemental flame, a grey flame, which shot across his being, making him scream out. "URAAAGH!"
Vidunder turned at the sounds of the flames and screams, grinning wide. "Ah, the experimental one woke first. Amazing, eh? You were trounced so easily by a man who you had killed only months ago, hmm? I realized he was the best man to take you down, but I hadn't realized that you, of all people, would be so shocked to see a dead man."
Griff was next, and rather than coming to slowly, he sprung into action, or at least tried, until that same non-elemental flame wrapped across his body, forcing him back into submission. "...Knives... How the ******** are you alive?!"
"Pretty easily. All I had to do was accept Vidunder as my master, and my soul was returned to my body, albeit some modifications have been made, but I am back, none the less." The Voldo-esque man stood next to Vidunder, his gigantic blades across his chest.
"Aye..." Started Father Dante, "I had a similar fate. With the vampire killin' me, I was forced into submitting or being cast into hell. Naturally, I chose life..." The father stood, his now entirely matalic form looking over his captives.
Kirothan remained still, totally unconcious.
Vidunder looked at both men, restrained in the classic X stance, hands bound above them. The lips pulled into a smirk. "Now I am three little steps closer to taking Gaia for myself."
Griff looked puzzled, angry as he was. "...what have we got to stop you for? Other than the good of ourselves."
"Oh, well, I wanted to torture the last remaining souls in Hollow before taking my throne over this world."
Terran blinked. Griff snarled.
Vidunder grinned. "Indeed, both your souls have existed before, in bodies almost identicle to your own. Griff knows most of this already. And after very carefully raiding his home, we found a few objects of interest." To which the man snapped his fingers. From there, Roland stepped forward, his eyes narrowed as he lowered the large sack and proceeded to dump out several weapons and some glowing stones of perfectly even size and shape to Griff's new necklace, which actually snapped itself off, floating to be with the yellow, green and blue counterparts. "...The four corners of Etinifni. With these stones, I can summon god." He then looked at Griff, right in the eyes. "Into myself."
Dante stepped forward, looking at Vidunder. "And with these, you can restore me and Knives to life, right?" His strong blue eyes pierced onward, making holes in Vidunder's jacket. "You promised us life!"
"Ah, dear Dante. I never promised you life. I promised you freedom from my servitude." Vidunder raised his hands, pointing one finger at either Knives or Dante. "...And I am a man of my word." Both men started, Dante turning to run, Knives rushing forward for the attack. Unfortunately for the duo, neither made it past their second step. "Neither one of you deserve life. Already dead, both of you. Neither of you completed your missions as outlined."
Vidunder then turned to Terran. "Griff managed to come back exactly as he was in the past. A man with a torn mother and worthless father, an Avian mutate due to circumstances outside his reach. In Hollow, he was sent to hell by Lyra the Death. In this world, he was born an orphan. How different. You, on the otherhand..." He turned, looking around. "Your soul was identicle, but without the proper catalyst, you would never reach the point I could destroy you. And so, when I learned you had found love, I enacted my part."
Terran's eyes went wide.
"You are no vampire. Merely a Chimera of a human body and soul with lich blood in you. It gave you the vampiric lust for blood and speed, without offering you the boost in physical strength or the sun and water curse. When I came and killed Seleen and you, I brought your corpse into my private facility with a select few. They recreated your body exactly how I wanted it. Right down to your heart." Vidunder smirked, liking this part. "Your heart was destroyed on my fault. I got too zealous and wound up ripping it right out of your chest. But for me, I needed you alive, so I made you so the only way I could think. A mana stone."
Griff and Terran gasped, both angry, but Terran looking damned near livid.
"Indeed. In your chest is a mana stone, carefully carved into the shape of a dual-ventrical heart. Perfect for supporting a human being, while giving them an innate afinity for flame. When it was complete, I only needed one thing before I knew things could get started. Griff had to be born, and he needed to be old enough and strong enough to fight and murder Halycanos in battle. It didn't happen for a long time, I admit, but now that it has, everything is ready."
Roland stood, his hands curled into fists at his sides. His once pristeen, iron knuckles were now red and blue, reprisenting a very large paradox in and of themselves. "As for me..." he started, looking between the two men. "...I was never in Hollow. My soul was fresh. But it showed the qualities he wanted, so he went ahead and, in my coma, sent me to Hollow after some pursuasion in Gaia's half of the void. He pushed me through and sent me into Hollow. I wound up becoming a fighter there where I met Sabine. Your sister allowed me to see Hellfire and Bluerush, which caused a very interesting time ripple." He held up his own, then took hold of the two swords on the floor. "...Three of each blade when only one was ever forged. The power in these swords is amazing, wouldn't you say so?"
Roland looked to Vidunder questioningly, who simply nodded back.
Roland then closed his eyes, and a sudden influx of energy swooped into Roland's body. The two swords, the Rapier form and Longsword form of the blades faded out of existance, seeping over his body, forming into a pair of red and black steel boots, and a red brawler's steel chest. "Only two more of these, then... I am slowly becoming a powerhouse... But Vidunder, what of the hammer?"
"Oh yes, how silly of me. This armor can't be particularly useful without the hammer that forged them all." Vidunder looked over to a map of Gaia next to a map of Hollow which was lined up as clearly as possible with deterioration of the planet and global shifting. "...Latent is closest to where Larket used to be. Roland, you will be going there shortly. Are we understood?"
Roland didn't even answer, going out the door and into an Elevator.
Terran blinked. After that Raven guy never contacted him, he pretty much forgot about Yaits and such. But with that telebroadcast, he had no choice. However, he was still tied to a wall, so all he could do was sigh.
"...My my my. Right wing militant psychopaths on a course for planetary destruction and rehabilitation of all government?" Vidunder stood, looking at his monitor. From here, he looked over to the panel. "Looks like we'll be pushing the launch up to tonight. The ring is prepped, yes?" To which a little henchyman nodded.
'The Ring', which Vidunder refered to, was a recreation of the Great Halo station, created some ten years previous by Gambino himself. Being that he was the richest man on Gaia, he was furious that he did not own an Angelic Halo, something only the greats of Virtue had. So, he created one. A massive space station that would fly above Gaia at all times.
"Everyone on Gaia will have their Halo!" he said to the press. "Gaia itself will have a halo!" Gambino stated to cover the obnoxious waste of tax money. But he didn't care. He wanted a Halo! The station was launched all at once, and stayed above Gaia for some seven years, shortly before being shut down by the Gambino Government. He no longer cared for the Halo, having become not only the richest, but indeed, the Most Powerful Man in Gaia. With a single set of rockets, he set unmanned rockets up to land on the ring and continue out into space, right for the Sun!
Vidunder, however, was just one of several corporate owners. But Gaia was a warlike country and many fighters lost many limbs and body parts. So, that meant that there was a high demand of bionic replacements, from everyday shlumps to even top name fighters like the late Halycanos, who had his own Bionic eye made specifically for him by Origin.
So, with his desires as they are, he had put together a station of his own, which would not have the life span of Gambino's Halo, but infact, would be a manned station orbiting Gaia, always moving and shifting, never staying anywhere too long.
"What the ******** is the point of a gigantic space station? War is happening, and you want a space station!? At the very least, make some ******** weapons!" Griff spit angrily, trying to break his own bond, which only shocked him.
"Weapons? HAH! I don't need any ******** weapons." He went over to a weapons locker and pulled out a shotgun, throwing it at Griff, where it landed with a loud, metal clang. He quickly pressed a button, and Griff would drop to the floor. "Go ahead! Shoot me!"
Griff fell to the floor, looking up, rushing forward to grab the gun, standing only five or six feet from Vidunder, pulling the trigger into his face. Griff was sent back with the power of the shot gun...
...only to see Vidunder get blasted in the face, being ripped to pieces by metal pellets. His shoulders had been blown cleanly off, his arms falling slopily to the floor, as did his torso. Everyone in the room jumped to their feet, gasping into terror. For a moment, all was silent...
...this too, was short lived as Vidunder's corpse all melted into a puddle, the remainants of his head and arms sliming to be with his torso. The puddle sort of just oozed there for a minute, maybe two before slowly bubbling up to make a seven foot, extremely skinny man. His suit and skin even seperated again. With a malicious smirk, his hand quickly snapped out, and Griff was sent sailing into his trap, and he was restrained.
"As you can see, I can't be beaten by traditional means. Which means that Yaits won't readily be able to beat me." He smirked and sadistically pressed the shock button on that panel, both men standing under the shocking energy. "Gentlemen..." He began, looking to his men. "I need a full analysis. Have the entire force looked over. We do need some work. It's time to see just where we stand, shall we?"
~~~~~
That night....
~~~~~
Vidunder laughed hard, his eyes looking up at the rig over the Reclamation Facility. He already had the permission of Dur'em to use the facility, and seeing that Dur'em governing party didn't take Yaits serious, the launch would go off without a hitch.
The ring was gigantic, as big as the massively large facility. There were rails set up, almost exactly like what was designed for the EVA units. These rails, all four of them, were at a corner of the facility, and it was set miles up. Straight up. The ring was hooked up to several rocket pullies, and with the propultion used, it would easily pierce atmosphere and float into the outer orbit. Naturally, the orbit would be difficult to maintain, but there was enough fuel to keep it out of the orbit and keep life support going for a good, long time.
A man following Vidunder around was asking thousands of questions, one of which was how did he intend to keep it up once the fuel was out. "Actually, yes. I had meant to deal with this. There will be a mana stone place in the center of the station in a few weeks to make use of sunlight, which will cause the station to be constantly capable of staying up." The man nodded it off, as if it made total sense.
"On to the main event, shall we?!"
There were only a few people standing near the launch deck. High class types. The kinds of men that no one dare ******** with. Men with more money than people can count. They sat, watching as the ring began to spin around the spires, which held the ring in it's place as it slowly lifted off the ground. The ring went higher and higher before finally blasting upwards, leaving off a rush of flames in it's tail. Higher and higher it soared. Onward and upward, higher and higher and higher into the air before leaving the spires with a blast.
The ring was soon gone. And though much of Gaia was more concerned about an upcoming war, Dur'em was simply interested in the lightshow.
The team that had infested the caves were working hard, quickly pounding out code after code. Despite the situation, they had already taken hold of some of the data. Something very different was happening. It was quite odd, no doubt, that the data was already coming in. But we'll get to how that happened later.
At that moment, they were compiling a great deal of information on the little, yellow "Shock Grunnies". One particular of the workers looked at the specifics of the creature, and could only blink. "...It's a ******** zombie pikachu."
They had been working constantly on this project, and there was no sign of letting up any time soon.
Elsewhere in the facility, Griff, Terran and Kirothan were being held in a cell, being watched by a pair of creatures that, frankly, neither knew how to describe. It was tall, slender but lacked any kind of facial definition except for a long, black bar that ran across the center of their heads, which had a red, glowing dot in the center.
this project was unknown to most everyone in Dur'em, save a fist full of people who were directly linked to Vidunder and his work. And as it stood, that included mostly people in the cave at that time.
PostPosted: Thu Nov 30, 2006 1:47 pm
Three men lay trapped. Two of them humanoid, one a wolfman. Each in their own cell, bound to the floor with not a visitor in what felt like years. Food would be dropped in through the ceiling once or twice a day, and water poured down a wall. But with their binds, they were lucky if they could claw for the food, and they could only barely slip their tongue under the fall.
In the first room, there sat a Vampire who was currently very drugged up. He was being prepped for the opperating room, where Vidunder had some horrible intentions for him. Most of which included the grusome removal of certain organs and kept on a painful life support.
The second room layed a bloody man, the man's avian wings outstretched in full. He had caused the most trouble for the three and for Vidunder. His wrists were cut deep with the shackles as he had pulled them to the point that they were almost fallen off. His rage was at the fact that after all this time being captured, he had yet to get a fair chance at Vidunder. A man whom he felt had no real power. But as it stood, Vidunder held all the power.
In the last room, the warewolf stood there in anger, his paw hands clenched as he attempted to rip the chains from the stone they lay in. With a howl, however, the large wolf would find his shoulders actually pop from their sockets, leaving him in howling pain. He felt only sink to his knees in weakness.
~~
And their torture would inevitably stay on wait until Vidunder's plans had come to an end. Who, of course, had prepped an odd elevator out of the stone side of the caves that is visible only because of the oddity of it's location.
With this, Vidunder took the long path down into the caves, going all the way to the base level where his plans had had most of their work take place. There, a panel and Roland waited. "You have four days, exactly, to complete your task. I don't know what, exactly, will take place from here, but when I get Sabine, you need to have already taken her swords from this time. Ravage her home if needbe." And with that, he nodded, and a henchman threw a switch.
A flash of light blasted from the panel and a halo around it began to spin until it caused Vidunder to fade out of sight and existance.
Roland nodded quietly, turning to the exit as soon as Vidunder was no longer visible.
Luminare The Forsaken
PostPosted: Sat Dec 02, 2006 8:10 am
Drops of water trickled from the entrance of the Dur'em Caves. The day was pretty crappy and depressing. Luminare walked in at a slow pace, kindof unaware of his surroundings. Zig was in his arms, still kindof drowsy from being knocked out before. He took a step in the entrance and there seemed to be something going on in there. Luminare's hand reached into his pocket and grabbed his cell. He dialed Vidunder's number, ready to tell him that he was in front.
