Alright... First, if my timezone is too funky, or too much will happen on the weekends (which I won't be around for)... then, well, I completely understand that I wouldn't be picked.
On a lighter note, I would like to be considered for a few roles, only to get one if possible I guess.
Thomas: Muaha! Gotta love the bastards in the game! Anyways, I do have an idea how he could be played out. I've always been interested in learning about the cruelties, per say, to those of the Americas. Especially with how they went about searching for gold. It would be nice to play a hated character for a change, too.
Nagual: I think she would be a good addition to the Soquili group. I don't know if it is only soquili-indian pairs. If pairs, she can work with my character Sanika as well. Anyways, I would imagine the Nagual would be very confused about these saddled creatures, who -in her mind- willingly give up their freedom. They could always fight back, but choose to be submissive through the use of pain. She somewhat wonders if just being with a two-legger once in awhile is too restrictive.
Sanika: Granted that she is common with new languages and people, the arrival of the pale-faced men would not be incredibly new. She knows many languages, and learning another shouldn't be that tough for her. Also, I think it would be interesting to see how she reacts to these men as well. Even though she is Mayan and not Aztec, with how her character was created, she would know the story of the "man" of Quetzacoatl.

Celeanor Hrm, question though, how does one go about signing up for the Pale-face players? I'm interested in James but I was wondering if you thought about an rp prompt for them as well, perhaps to go along with their saddled horses? Yeah an rp prompt for him and the others would be a good idea! I still need to get the rp contest. this thread is just to see who all would be interested.

JTHMlover I was thinking that something like hidalgo might be kind of cool. I remember there being this story about a colony that was started but they think died off, however there was never any evidence of what happened to them. However, indians in that area later had blue eyes. Maybe the Indians raised a kid from that colony, and he/she is just realizing that he is more like them than his indian family. Causing trouble as to which "race" he/she belongs to might prove an intruiging plot. I for the life of me can't remember the colonies name, but I will go look it up. Also maybe it is him/her and his/her horse that get mixed up in this and they run away to think, and by the time they come back, a war has started because of him. Each side would think the opposite was keeping the boy/girl. Roanoke!!! that is it!! Oooo or maybe an indian boy/girl falls in love with one of the saddled horses and steals it away, trying to show the two colonies to live in peace. Ohh i like the stealing aspect. Just the Kawani people respect other's property so they probably wouldn't steal. Maybe a rebellious indian teen may do it. *ponders*

Celeanor Hmm.. I think a few people already have persona's with outlander blood... I know I do, with a long drawn out story to go with it.... so this plot thing could prove very useful for developing those characters further... but their creators really should make a point of taking part in this plot thing to preserve the general RP flow. ^^ Yeah! surprised

Kealdra Arrikanez Awesome idea. XD Love it, love it. I definately want to participate. n.n I love Dances with Wolves, wonderful movie. But where are all the girl characters?! We need a rebel. XD Maybe someone that snuck over on board ship because she wanted to be in on the action, too? Well.. usually in the 1600s it wouldn't be proper for a woman to travel with 4 men. I know that Sacagawea led Lewis and Clark but she was an indian woman. A European female wouldn't..and if women came with them they would stay at the camp.

I'd love to sign up to play the role of my Soquili (Yei) and her native American companion, Achak. I think both would be quite fun to interact with due to their personalities which compliment one another in the sense that they're both a little eccentric!

I'll gladly toss Verbena (Soquili) in if there's any room for her - right now she's just a'wandering along here and there. Cowrie probably wouldn't care except for people settling on the beach; that's where she stays all the time. XD
*will try and think up something more coherent to say later on - it's 9 and my brain isn't working well on plot stuff* ;_;

Well since you asked for suggestions, I would say to not make the saddle horses so horribly off. Right now the plot makes it sound like they are badly abused and horribly treated. While it is true that some settlers might be like that, most would have treated their horses very well, especially when out traveling the range. At that time period, horses would have been very precious commodities. Most would have taken very good care of their horses and all stock animals for that matter because the death of them could in turn equal their death. If the explorers were to loose the horse while they were traveling, that could result in them being stranded in the middle of nowhere. In those cases you could expect them to care for their horses before themselves.
I also think it would add a lot more depth to the rp if it wasn't such a black and white separation amongst the Native Americans and Settlers. It could still make for an extremely interesting rp because the settlers do rely on things like saddles and bits and reigns when riding. It doesn't have to be looked at so much as being cruel though, as just the only way they know how to communicate with their horses and work together.
Well that's just a little suggestion I had for whatever it's worth. XD
I don't have a Soquili, though I've been stalking the store for some time. The chance to join an interesting rp has peaked my interested, so I'm definitely interesting in signing up for it. ^.^
