There is such thing as an ignore button, I believe. Or there used to be.
As for the art vs. the artist concept, I think it all depends, but I'm really too lazy to get into it right now.

If a person uses one art and has a problem with something like he can't fight on the ground because the style dosen't teach that. It's not the style it's the fighter the style must be worked on. Things must be added a style teaches you possibilities and gets you to a point were you have an idea as to how to deal with an attack but a martial artist should be smart enough to know that things don't alway go as planed.
If you don't learn new things you will be beat some one will use something you wernt counting on and if you are unable to modify what you know or learn to think for your self you will fail. A fighter should keep an open mind about other styles if I don't try to learn new things refuse to train in other arts I am only hurting my self. The only problem with styles is people don't add or change things much they stick to the old ways and don't try to fix the weak areas over time things become out dated and almost usless.
Mixed styles are great because they use other styles not just one if a style is lacking something add it. It's not the styles fault that the people training in it didn't add something. If I was a boxer I would learn to grapple and kick if I see my style being beaten by another I will find out what went wrong and fix it. I use crap from other arts in my class we have been taught other things some one would be dumb to think wait I can't use that it's not part of the style I use.
If I got into a situation where a technique wasen't working I would switch to something elss very quikly. This has happened in my class as well when we were doing some grappling stuff I couldnt get one guy off my back the way I was told to so I did the next thing that came to me. I was biger than he was and I didn't have much time to think I just picked him up and tosed him it was painful to pick him up the way I did but it worked. Also during that class I grabed a guy by a preshur point and forced him off me.
It was not what I was taught but I got out of a jam because I used my head the style is just a blue print on how to fight that dosen't mean that it is usless to add new things to it because it is already perfect or that you must stick with it and nothing elss.

Taiyo There is such thing as an ignore button, I believe. Or there used to be. Yeah it's still there and I'd urge the boys to use it. This is just getting stupid.

Thats one reason I haven't used it I feel it's just like running away from something I understand why he dosen't like me but that dosen't give any one the right to say things like that to people. If he dosen't like the way I write there is not much I can do about it I have a learning disability and things like math and english is hard for me I never could get the hang of grammar.
As for my stuff on the Klingon weapon I just thought people would get a kick out of it. It was in Kung Fu Magazine and people are starting to talk about it as a real weapon I just thought it was interesting and most people wouldent have known about it if I hadent said something. I will admit that I have put posts on these guild to get people talking when I came on they were somewhat dead.
The post about deadly techniques I knew would bother some people thats why I put it on it gets people talking. I don't like him but thats more because he treats people like s**t weather he belives any thing I say about my self or not dosen't realy matter much to me we are just online. But I don't take that kind of crap from people i do know and I don't feel I should have to here.
I put in the years of training just like every one elss has I feel I deserve at least to be treated like I treat every one elss here. I may not agree with some of the people here but I am not going to call them f** stupid or any thing elss if I did I am less of a martial artist and more of a childish a**. I have been a bully in my past I have hurt people I grew up ive been there and done it if any one had said that to my face they would be lucky to have there teeth.
Now I wont say I am the badest mother around but people who know me don't want to mess with me I have earned a rep for being vicious. Im not proud of things ive done I don't think any one would like to live the life I have yet I can say I am not as bad as some people I have met I learnd and calmed down a bit.
People talking crap pisses me off more than any thing to me it's retarded and usless any arguing online is pointless I just don't want to hear his crap any more but he dosent stop and I don't like the idea of just walking away.
Is that wrong I know it's not right of me to keep going and geting others mixed into it but it drives me nuts. I will say that I am the only one realy talking about it but several people on Gaia realy want him gone not just me hes been banned a few times by others but he has come back I wasent told how many times he was banned but I am shure it was for the same bull.

Frankly, if you guys can't deal with each other, then, ignoring is the best thing. It's a lot less headache for everyone. Simple as that. I don't care what the reasons are, or who started it at this moment. You guys both have to either get along with each other or not talk to each other if you're both going to be in this Guild.

Laren Fighting Dirty? Anyone have an opinion on this? Anyone ever been kicked in the groin? Eye gouged? Anything!? Been hit in the nads more times than I care to mention.. tis why I got a groin guard but they aint an awful lot of help, just make it a big target bigger wink But anyways I know that even fully adrenilined up to the eyeballs a solid blow there will drop me and keep me dropped for some time. I've never been jabbed in the eyes but I have taken blows to the throat to be quite frank its frickin horrible... really hard to breath and feels like you got a tennis ball lodged in there for days... Solid blows to the solar plexus frickin hurt too even if you condition and are prepared for it.

I have been hit in the groin during fights and once when me and a friend went at it with boxing gloves I was hit in the eye. It started to burn and I couldent see out of it. I havent had any one try to go for my eyes in a fight but I have had people go for the groin.

I've never actually been hit by 'dirty moves', but I have accidentally hit a few people in the groin during practices. Other than that though, not much.
I do hope that no one has had their eyes gouged in a fight. o.o

Actually, we used to use techniques that applied pressure to the eyes when my friends and I sparred in college. The human body doesn't like that.

My kung fu teacher bothers some people because he has one eye I worked up the nerve to ask about it. He had a farming accident as a kid now he has a glass eye. I was thinking one day we will be doing Chi Sao and its going to pop out and go rolling around the room.

That's a shame. I've been lucky enough myself not to get any serious injuries, knock on wood.

I really feel while nothing is off limits in a street fight, i'd rather not waste my training time on how to correctly smash some guy's balls, I think I can figure that out on my own
