I understand the specific technique involved in "draining" another's energy. (I've read it.)
I have also had someone feed off of me without me realizing it for an extended period. Breaking the connection was nasty. I didn't like her, she was a compulsive liar -- she kept insisting that I stay talking to her, that I not back away, and that I come into a tent with her. She needed that energy.
I don't share, I exchange.

Are you talking about psychic vampires?

I watched a documentary about them. They mostly live in big cities were there is alot of residual phsycic energy around, it comes from people feeling extreme emotions. This way they don't have to drain anybody.

If they can't get any of this excess energy they can't function though, it'snot their faul though it's just how they are. The way they feed is by drawing on someone else's psychic energy and slowly drainging that persons energy, it can't kill you but after being drained you feel extremely lethargic and unenergetic for a few days, someone told me once I was a psychic vampire once, at times I beleive him because if I'm alone for too long I become really weak, it's like I need the energy of people who are extremely happy or depressed constantly. As a result me and my friends are always partying, it's a way for me to get energy without hurting other people. They release their excess energy and I feed off of it, and am twice as engergetic for twice as long.

Perhaps sometimes energy leeches are being lumped into the same being as emotional leeches? As opposed to the energy leech that Lila Malvae so expertly described (@ Lila - the reason why threads die once you post is because your posts are so thorough that they answer most everyone's questions) an emotional leech is a person who through either their behavior, personality, or perceived social status just saps the positive emotion from a situation. Many people mistake their own symptoms or the symptoms of the social cliques around them. Ex: lots of emos are convinced that they're energy leeches, or psychic vampires, when in reality, most emo kids are emotional leeches- there's not anything wrong with them, they're just pathetic. You do tend to sap the joy, happiness, and delight in life out of a room when you're steeped in the culture of cutting and and of suicidal affectations. Of course you would get a buzz from it- misery, even faked misery in the name of social acceptance, loves company.

Energy leeches certainly exist, but they're just a little bit rarer than popular belief declares.

An energy leech is also known as a psychic vampire or energy vampire. They can either steal other people's energy (also known as chi, lifeforce, etc) or transfer their own energy to someone else. This can either be done by physical contact or just from being around the specified person. An energy leech can also give/recieve energy from plants, animals, even the surrounding air (usually heat, since heat is energy).

Basicly, think of the "leech" and the specified host/reciever as two glasses of water both filled half way. Both of their energy levels, signified by water, are halfway. Now, if the "leech" were giving the specifed host energy, it would pour the specific amount of "water" out of the leech's glass into the host's glass. Or vise versa.


Remember, "With every action, there is an equal but opposite reaction."

In some cases, physical energy isn't just the limit of what can be given/recieved. Those who are Empathic can either "leech" someone else's emotions (like if the leech were in a bad mood, they could "leech" energy from someone who was in a pleasant mood) or vise versa.

Basicly, it's all about control. People who can control their energy fields can do miraculous things. Telekinesis, Telepathy, Empathy, Remote Vision, all these things revolve around energy control. Although you may be able to do one thing but not another, it all varies.

I would suggest that you get yourself a chuck of Tiger's Eye. It's a fairly cheap gemstone and works well at blocking energy leechs. I had to use one when around a friend of mine, it's really not healthy to have so much energy drained for you that you pass out.

Lately, I feel like two of the people I work with at my job are energy leeches. Every time I'm with them, they deprive me of energy and I get so tired, and so depressed, at the end of the day. I've noticed this more during the past couple of weeks and have been sleeping a lot more.

I joke around that where I work is Hell and all the evil congregates there (my manager is a strict Christian- but she's one of the energy vampires!)

So the Tiger's Eye gemstone works? I think I'll go get me a ring of that and try it.

Energy leeches? Are you refering to living people with said ability or something else?
