Preventer Void Who's "they"? The staff? All that was ever said was that the director thought the political and symbolic relationship between Heero and Relena was most important to the story - and it was. Wing was a war story, not a romantic comedy. There'll be time for relationships AFTER they deal with the people who prolong war and kill innocent people for their own gain. Besides, do you really expect someone like Heero to be completely forthright and understanding of any romantic feelings he might have? He's probably emotionally stunted from the fact that he was so busy training to help save the world. Give him some time to realize how he feels before we pass judgement on him. Amen to that!! He's got years of training against his emotions to overcome first.

I think Relena is a constant person, and Heero definitley is. If they ever start something, its sure to be for life...

Nahhhhhhh, I don't think so. I mean, he's to distant from everyone. If Heero could learn to be a little more open and warm up to Relena just a bit more, then maybe. But right now; nope.

In his current state, Heero probably needs more time. But then again, Relena's not the forcing type of person. I mean, we are assuming that this scenario can have more time - we're predicting. We can give as much time as we want.

Any thing can happen and anybody can be right. Right now just about everybody is depending on ifs. That's about all we have at this point, if's.

Well, it was never intended to be that way. Gundam wing was altered for the fans not the other way around. What was originally suposed to happen was that heero and relena were going to leave the other behind and move on with their lives.

I do know that they were not supposed to be a romantic couple in the series, but afterward is up to fan interpretation. I'd like to see some proof of your declaration. If you have any.

Really? eek That would be interesting...as Oreasa said, let us know how you know that.

Sorry, but I'm calling shenanigans. I highly doubt they ever intended to say, for 100% certain, whether Heero and Relena got together or not. I'm sure that by the time EW was made, they knew there were fans on both sides of the debate with very strong opinions, and realized that giving a solid answer would alienate half the audience.

Actually, I've just come to a realization. I LIKE the fact that Heero and Relena don't have any open shows of love within the show.
Why? Because I HATE the anime where a girl spend most of the series looking sad and hopeless and wondering if her crush really loves her or if he's more interested in a woman with bigger breasts or stuff like that. I hate that bleeping stuff so bad that it makes me want to murder the authors slowly and painfully. And the way anime does it, this is the ONLY way to do romance...

In all the anime I have watched I have not really seen that type of romance. I've seen girls recently broken up with chase after their ex trying to find out what was wrong and how they can work it out. I've seen a lot of versions of romance, but for some reason, not that. I guess I just find the animes where romance isn't the prime focus. Anyway, I agree with you. That kind of romance is not acceptable.
