this isn't a new word, but i saw it again the other day and it reminded me of a strange coincidence...

Wow.... lol you guys are all so advanced in Japanese!
I like had a Japanese friend on an online game called FFXI that I'd ask about Japanese but I've forgotten almost all of it,
I guess my Japanese word of the day could be
taidama= I'm back (I think) my way of thanking him xp

My word of the day is "koto" or 'thing, charge, affair'. I was looking for a kanji, and stumbled across JI / koto.
Some compounds of this are... 仕事 - しごと - shigoto - work 事件 - じけん - jiken - incident 行事 - ぎょうじ - gyouji - event, function 見事 - みごと - migoto - fine, splendid
Seems to be very useful. ^_^

Yasumi, meaning break/vacation. My main phrase for the day(well, week actually) Yasumi ga hoshii desu, meaning roughly 'I want a vacation'. Mainly because sidewalks were frozen Monday(Presidents day) and we STILL had to go to school.
