Trumpet Thread...yay That makes me happy....lol...sorry...I'm brand new to the guild ...got an invite through message. sweatdrop Well, well. *offers hand for a handshake* Welcome to the guild. Shakes hand... I only have one Trumpet my 60+ year old Conn Director...and honestly i don't want a new one...lol...sure mines a little banged up, but I love it...Once I have two weeks open I am gonna get it all fixed up...any small dents taken out..the whole she-bang...but those two free wekks wont be until Christmas...lol...it was supposed to get done for my b-day in june, but Marching Band prevented that lol...

Aryah *lol* don't you feel special, Oggy?! blaugh Why yes, now that you mention it, I do. My marching trumpet used to have a monster dent in the bell tube (a chair fell on it xp ), but it's all magically gone now, since my cousin runs an instrument repair shop.

*sigh* sweatdrop i'm d only one dat doesn't own a trumpet... but i'm planning to buy one when i think i'm good enough (as in trumpet skills... cuz i don't wanna buy an instrument until i'm sure i'm gonna b usin it a lot) and when i hav d money...

I have one too, like most of us. Its not the best but hey, its doing well for its 6th year. crying second to last chair in my band. Some people in it are crazy good, not just good. Like my friend josh is like playing over the bars for warm ups. its not like A or B, its like the C as the starting note. gonk wish i could do that.

He tells us to do the warm ups he made for us. We're not allowed to warm up with scales!

I think, if I had my choice, I'd be doing Rythmic Etudes as warm ups, instead of the normal stuff that we were told to do. *shrugs*

I own a previously used trumpet, but it's still in great shape. Does it count as two intruments if I own one and use a school cornet for concert season? Probably not, but it's worth a try. The cornet's spit valve didn't work anyway.
