Lu Bu entered with the group and sat down at a random spot. When Liu Bei made his toast he lifted his cup just as everyone else had and drank steadily from it. He listened to the conversation and noticed Guan Yu's ear. Not even he had ever been able to damage Guan Yu that much in a battle so those weapons had to be at least somewhat impressive. "You're welcome," Bu said in response to Liu Bei's words. "Those soldiers fight with weapons that are more advanced than ours... I could tell that the quality of their steel is far greater than the steel we possess just because the few that could block my attacks, their weapons didn't break or bend and they made a nice clanging noise. Their armor isn't as good though, but it seemed lighter and more effective for use against a light weapon such as a sword, but almost useless against my halberd." He said as he remembered cutting through their men. He seemed to stare into nothing as he spoke, as if he were still on the battlefield he stared forward. He took another sip and his trance was broken.

Zhang Fei stood up and slammed his cup down onto the table. It would have spilled had it not been emptied by Fei before hand. He looked to Guan Yu and Gan Ning and somewhat growled, "Rrrr-I can't believe that you didn't bring her back here!" He shouted, "Why didn't you tell me that she got injured!?! Ning, you promised to not let anything happen to her!"
Before anything else could happen Guan Yu stood up and placed a hand on his brother's shoulder, "Fei, it's all right. I saw her and she seemed fine. The doctors there fixed her right up and I don't think it was anything serious. Gan Ning did his best and we're lucky that she only got a little hurt by that weapon. Just sit down and have another drink." Yu smiled to his brother and sat back down. Meanwhile Fei exhaled in a huff and sat back down. If steam could come out of his ears, it would have at this point. Yu had a point and he couldn't match it, as always. He filled his cup again and drank greedily from it.

Bei listened thoughtfully to what Lu Bu said and nodded while Zhang Fei had his outbrust over his little girl. So their weapons were more advanced, and it sounded as if their armor was as well. However according to Lu Bu, their armor wouldn't stand too much of a chance against a heavier weapon. Shu would be safe for now in case of close combat, at least when it came to fighting sword to sword. Or at least the officers were. Almost everyone used long-raged, heavy weapons, so they would be able to easily cut through from what Lu Bu was saying. Bei smiled to himself as Yu calmed Fei down and got the wild warrior to sit down. Fei poured himself a drink and drank from it in an eager way.
"It's good that Cai wasn't injured too severely." Liu Bei stated before he drank from his cup. He set it back down and started to speak again, his hand going up to his small beard. "We can decide soon when she will come back... what we should focus on now is strategy. Shu is filled with many promising officers, however there is no one to guide us to our path to victory with the ways of their mind. Strategy...."
They needed a strategist. While most of the officers had clever minds they would still need someone to help them nevertheless. But who?

Gan Ning noticed the foul stench of Zhang Fei as he got up and glared menacingly at he and Guan Yu. "Hey, Fei, as Guan Yu said she's fine. No harm, no foul my friend. She obviously wasn't meant to die that day, I'm sure the city is in capable hands right now as we speak and drink. We need not worry, she's a grown woman and her prowess on the battlefield is intimidating even to me." He saw that Yu easily calmed him down, but he always had to put his two yen in. Ning turned back to facing Liu Bei, and heard of what he was speaking of. "Strategy you say, eh?" Gan Ning leaned back on the table, and closed his eyes for a sec deep in thought. "I think there are numerous candidates to chose from, I've heard many legends of great strategists, current even not just legends and fairy tales. One of the best being a strange man that lives in a swamp near my former empolyer's land. His name was Pang Tong, and he's a smart little son o' a gun. It'd be nice if we could seek an audience with such a man, and induce him to the virtues of this fine kingdom of Shu, I'm sure he'd be willing to join your cause swiftly, Liu Bei." Ning finished with sort of a head-bow to his new ruler.

Just then a scout that had been traveling throughout China entered the meeting hall. He urgently approached Liu Bei and whispered in the lord's ear, "Sir, we have news that the Sleeping Dragon, Zhuge Liang, has been spotted South of here near the countryside of ChangZhou. I've heard he's been wandering about recently but it's worth looking into." He leaned back and looked at the rest of the men, shuttering some at the sight of Lu Bu, and then left the hall immediately.
Guan Yu could hear what he said, but missed a few things. All he knew is that he hear the name "Sleeping Dragon," if they could get the Dragon on their side it would make them three times more threatening.

Liu Bei listened to what the messanger and Gan Ning had to say. If they could have a dragon and a phoenix on their side, imagine how much more power they could have? No one earned titles like that unless they had true skills. Bei's eyes seemed to glow as he rested his chin on his knuckles and thought for a few moments before he turned his head to look at his two brothers. "We must go and see these two men immediately." It was obvious that the ruler was excited over the news that he had just received. He straitened his back and set his palms on the table while looking at his three officers, nearly forgetting that Lu Bu was sitting right there at the table not too far away.
"We must go and seek these men out...." Bei smiled widely as he looked over at Guan Yu for his brother's reaction.

"Yes, Liu Bei. I think I could go to see Pang Tong maybe with someone else, or we could all stick together because I don't know if either would like to be persuaded to join a kingdom without the ruler there to speak to them." Gan Ning finished his statement and took another big swig from his glass.

Guan Yu nodded, "Yes, we should indeed go seek both of them out if it is a strategist that you want... I head that my son, Xing, and my friend Zhou Cang are north of here searching for men to recruit, so we should check with them first. They would know if anyone of talent is up there, especially a dragon or a phoenix. And I also agree with what Gan Ning has to say, you should most definitely go to speak with Zhuge Liang yourself. It will take a lot of respect to gain the help of him, more so than it will to get Pang Tong on our side I think. I will go where I am needed Brother. You tell me what to do."
Zhang Fei scoffed as he was chugging down some wine, causing some of it to spill down his chin into his unruly beard. He set the cup down and wiped his mouth off before speaking. "Whada we need a strategist for, anyway? Are Guan Yu and I not enough? I don't get it, who needs strategy when you're as strong as we are?!" He picked up his cup and finished the last few gulps before filling it again.

Lu Bu sat there, not saying much of anything. He really didn't care about what was going on and was just waiting for someone to say something about battle. Then he heard about Zhuge Liang being near and his ears perked up. Another dragon was usually something that Lu Bu got excited about, but Zhuge Liang was his least favorite of all the other dragons in the land. He wasn't strong and had to use tricks to win a war, something Lu Bu had never admired. He finished his cup of wine and stood up, "Well you kids have fun, I am going to retire..." He said with a small yawn. He left the table and grabbed his weapon, which was leaning against a wall, and made his way to the staircase that Guan Yu had pointed out. He walked up the stairs and looked at the room. He was right, it did have a nice view, but Lu Bu thought of something. "Guan Yu you sneaky man, only you would think to put me in a room with only one true exit." As he finished the statement several guards gathered at the base of the stairs. It was their duty to make sure Lu Bu wouldn't cause any trouble.

((Want to do a little more in RP wise and even though I am not the perfect candidate for this character, I felt is the best character to choose at this time))
On the streets of Xiao Pei, the people were more relaxed and calmed down after Guan Yu and his men had returned from Xia Pi with news of victory. THe markets were back to it's bustling self and the same screaming tradesmen could be heard over the voices of the consumers. Amongst the crowd though was a fine young man lavished in a wonderful silk robe that was made by some of the finest silk of Ru Nan. The man looked left to right as he watched the busy people reaching for the products they saw best befitted them or was the most useful to them. He smiled at the scene and even chuckled a little to himself. He brisked his whiskered moustache with his thumb and index finger once out of habit as he stared at an angered customer that was storming by. The young man had to stop him. "Excuse me. I say, why does your face show such discomfort and dissatisfaction? Didn't you not just purchase something desirableof your taste?" the young man pointed at the small packet of a box being held by a string in the hand of the angered man. "I did...but that tradesmen is tricking us for more than we need to pay for." the angered man replied begrudgingly. "Do you know this for sure?" the young man asked. "No, but the market here usually sell for cheap. But I KNOW that man is selling them for more than their worth! Doesn't take a genius to know that!" "Doesn't take a genius huh?" the young man said with an intriugued tone in his voice. As soon as that, the young man did a little circle before turning towards the shady dealer and walking towards him. He arrived to the man's booth and looked at some of the products. Most of them looked normal. There were rice, meat, and fruits. They seemed fresh too. The fruits were a native to Xiao Pei. It would be natural for him to have picked them around here. Somehow though if this man was truly as shady as he had seemed, then there was something behind it all. The barrage of questions would seemed attack. "I say sir! These are most delicious looking fruits? Where did you come from exactly from this morning? Must have been hard-work for you to get these all and in such bountiful batches." the young man asked. "Why? What's it to you?" the shady dealer grumbled. "Well I would LOVE to know where you have come from. Certainly with such hardships, your people from your province must be as hard-working as you!" The shady dealer chuckled. It seems he likes being complimented. "Well if you must know, I came from Jian Ye. And I wouldn't exactly call it a morning. Took a daylonger than that." the shady dealer replied with a smile. "Hmm, and because you brought these from over there that these fruits are so expensive?" The shady dealer was silent for a second before answering without hesitation. "Yeah, naturally..." "I could have sworn that Jian Ye doesn't grow these though." The shady dealer froze for a little bit longer. He then replied again as non-hesitant than before. "They must have migrated over then, because they're bountiful over there this year..." "A travel from Jian Ye huh? These fruits look awful fresh for such a travel that must take about two to three days. You know it's been pretty hot recently. Only fruits kept in somewhere absolutely cold could survive such a travel you know." the young man smiled. The shady dealer's face flushed black. "Alright, I think that's enough out of you-" "Admit it! You bought these off a merchant this morning didn't you?" The young man pointed out as his voice boomed terribly. "H-how can you accuse me of such nonscence! Why would I sell what I bought if I had bought these!" the shady dealer snapped at the young man menacingly. "THESE fruits can be found around these parts of Xiao Pei as the sun is not as mild and the water is quite cool to keep them in. The merchants around here would use this method to sell them so they wouldn't be hot like the ones you would find off the ground of right from the trees. But because they are so plentiful, they would be sold for cheap but at the same time at a high enough but reasonable price for the effort to keeping the fruits cold! You bought them all so there would be no knowledge of the real prices as you would sell them for an overly ridicules price! The same goes for the meat! The meat would be rotten by the time you have come from Jian Ye!" the young man yelled at the dealer. The dealer was completely lost in words. Soon, many people gathered at the scene. The young man turned to the crowd. "Which of you have bought from this merchant today!?! You sir! Do tell! You bought a dozen apples here? How much did you spend? Fifty stones!?! For a price like that, shouldn't you be spending it on more lasting meals like cabbages and vegitations? You good lady! How about you? You bought the meat from here? Fresh isn't it? How much did you spend on those? Eighty five stones!?! Is the meat really so much to put you and your family to the poor house for just one meal!?! I thought as much! This man is tricking you! You could find this cheaper around here. But where are the other merchants? They're gone because this man bought them out! Do not allow him to trick you in such a way!" the young man barked as his voice resembled that of a roaring lion at the moment. "I want to tear him apart!" a man yelled. "I'll feed HIM to my family instead!" a woman yelled. "I want to see the streets covered with his blood! Another man yelled. "Wait! We must not use our angers to deal with such a problem. Such issues can be dealt with using the power of our voices." the young man calmly said. He turned his head to the dealer and whispered, "Now you can whether apologize to these people and give them back their money or I can let them loose on you. And I must say, there seems to be too many heads to count out there that wants YOUR hea-" "I'm sorry! I'm sorry!" the dealer hollered and cried for forgiveness and throwing arms-full of money back to the people. They all crashed into each other as they fought for the money, getting greedy all of a sudden. The young man did not reach for the riches himself. He laughed as he turned to the dealer. "Now it is not my problem and all, but I do suggest you leave this town at once. Just because you gave the money back does not mean that some of them has forgiven you." the young man smiled. The dealer turned around and started running, tripping upon his own legs in fear as he scrambled for safety. The people all rose up and rose their arms in the air in a cheering manner. "Thank you kind stranger for dealing with that lieing upstart!" a man called out from the crowd. "Yes yes! Please! May we have your name!?!" another man called out. At that point, the crowd all in unisen hollered out for his name. The young man gave a laugh and a chuckle. "Very well, you may call me Xu Shu." Xu Shu smiled to them. The people now cheered louder than before gaining the knowledge of the kind stranger's name. Above all this, one of Liu Bei's patrollers watched the whole scene and soon ran back to report what he had saw.

Liu Bei chuckled to himself at Zhang Fei's reaction, unable to help himself from doing so. "A dragon is a truly magnificent creature... if Shu could have a dragon...." He was silent for a few moments and opened his mouth to say something but was interrupted as one of his patrollers ran into the room. The Shu ruler turned his head, straitening his back as the patroller bowed before he told Liu Bei about the event that had occured the market. While it sounded simple, Bei was also impressed, and from the way that this man spoke he must have been quite shrewd. Pulling on his beard Bei smiled, looking over at Guan Yu.
"It looks as if fortune has befallen us!" Turning back at the other man, Bei said this: "Gather what information you can on this man... I'm rather curious. What do you think, brothers?" Bei removed his hand from his goatee and set it on his lap. "Quite a good string of events that we've been having...."
||Sorry for being so short, I don't have much. ><; As for Xia Pi, I figured that since Xia Pi is a bit of a ways off that they wouldn't know about the attack immediately. A few posts or something should pass before some runs in and alerts them.||

Guan Yu's eyes shone at the news of a clever person in the market. "My Lord, we should head out immediately to meet him. If that is merely a small demonstration of what he can do then he too will be quite useful on the battlefield." He took a few sips of wine before standing up, making sure not to bump his head on a lantern that hung above him. He straightened out his beard and looked to his brothers. "If you wish, I will go alone, though I think that you should come, Bei."
Meanwhile Zhang Fei was drunk off his a** and still going, "Shure! I'll come along!" He said in a loud, laugh-like voice. "Why not! I would like to meet him and shake his scrawny hand!" He said with a scoff. He knew that most strategist-type people were rather weak and he tended to look down upon them.

Gan Ning heard the news of this new guy, and marveled a bit at what feat he had accomplished. "He would be a good guy that we should allow to join, he seems smart enough for sure, and we could always use another startegist, right? Zhang Fei, your not in a good state to meet this person, sorry to say, but your dead drunk." Ning slapped Fei's back gruffly, "Guess we all remember who can handle fine drink better....me!" Ning roared loudly at this, and got up from his seat, stumbling a little, but not as bad as Zhang Fei at all.

Zhang Fei stared at Gan Ning for a while. "You're wrong..." He said in a suttle voice, "I DRANK MORE!!!" He yelled as he gathered up the different cups that he had filled several times and set them on the table. It was an obscene ammount and it seemed as though Gan Ning had not had as much. No he wasn't as drunk as Zhang Fei, but Fei certainly drank much more.

It seemed as if Gan Ning had beaten Liu Bei in words, and in responce Fei displayed the cups of wine that he'd drank. Bei chuckled to himself before looking over at Yu and nodding as if to say that they should go. However just as Bei turned around a messanger ran into the room, panting from the rush. This day was quite eventful, it seemed. Dropping down into a messy bow the messanger gasped for air before finally speaking.
"L-L-Lord Liu Bei, Xia Pi is under attack!"
"What? Bei responded, obviously shocked. "Attacked? Again? By whom?"
"I-it appears to be the s-same enemy commander, sir, a-a-and there are other enemy reiforcements heading in to attack as well!"
There were only three officers there protecting Xia Pi! And not only that, but the number of soldiers that were there were very few. Quickly turning around Bei looked between all three who were inside of the room before starting to speak. "Having Lu Bu here is a threat, but we must head out to Xia Pi at once! We will have to seek out Zhuge Liang and this man from the market later. Guan Yu, I'm sorry to say that need you to go back to Xia Pi again." Bei stopped for a brief moment before looking over at his drunk brother. "Fei, I'm afraid that you'll have to stay here with me. You can't go into battle in the condition that you're in...." Sighing, the ruler's eyes moved over to the pirate dressed in red. "Gan Ning, it would be a misfortune to lose you in battle over such a simple thing as drinking wine beforehand. Do you think that you can still fight steadily?"
