Keiko was desperately trying not to fight Lovrina, or do anything similarly stupid, but the cause of her hybridization acting innocent was REALLY pissing her off. It didn't help that she was acting like Ulla's parents were still alive. "b***h, don't act like you're not the reason I'm a hybrid! I can't breastfeed my kids because of you!" she roared. Too much time had passed since she'd had to get used to her hybrid body, so she couldn't really use that for ammo anymore, but the breastfeeding thing, that was relatively new. She had to feed Yuna and, more recently, Serena, formula during their infancies because she didn't her own body. She couldn't help but think that Lovrina had damptered with her "chest" to make any milk she produced mess up her kids in some way. The whole point of Lovrina turning her into a hybrid was to get an army of hybrids out of her. She wasn't going to not have kids - being a mother had been a dream of hers from a young age - but she damn sure wasn't going to let them turn into what Lovrina wanted, no matter what.
Shaking that train of thought out of her head, she positioned herself between Ulla and Lovrina. She had to focus on protecting the child she still had access to, and she wasn't going to let this evil b***h, put false ideas into Ulla's head.

Again Sub didn't talk much, he simply observed, noting how sincere Lovrina appeared to be in all that she said and how she acted, this certainly wasn't the angry Ein fan girl that wanted to rip his head off out of revenge for her idol that he remembered. Looking to Keiko he didn't say anything when she yelled at Lovrina, feeling it was justified to her personally even if Lovrina, or this Lovrina, depending on what was going on here, had no idea what she was talking about. All this was very confusing but not as confusing as what else Lovrina had to say.
"Ulla's parents?" Sub thought to himself as he looked back at Lovrina and then to Ulla. They were alive? That wasn't possible, they were one of Ein's victims, former 'employees' of his until they outlived their usefulness which said usefulness was finding the Fairy Realm, knowledge he discovered the mother knew and made her pay for not divulging it. Sure, in the end Ein got his hands on that knowledge but the way he figured it Ulla's mother bought the world time. The father's murder seemed like just extra salt in the wound. None of that mattered though because according to Lovrina they were alive, somehow. The mystery of what was going on just got deeper and deeper.
Shaking off all these strange revelations Sub tried to focus on what the shockingly helpful, to him, Lovrina was saying, explaining the current state of the tower and the various areas. Allowing this information to fully soak in Sub did his best to commit it all to memory. The last time they were here they didn't get the explore the place in-depth, had no reason to, instead they gunned their way to the top to put an end to the madman that was Ein. That said, 'challenges' was not the word he would use but he had to admit, even he couldn't think of a darker, more fitting, word.
Sighing to himself he glanced at Cynthia out of the corner his eye, admitting to himself that he agreed with the woman, they needed to get this show on the road. That was when Reno stepped up and turned him physically around and spoke to him. "So this is all sincere coming from her...that doesn't make me feel any better exactly but a good confirmation to have." Sub whispered back at Reno as he looked back at the weird Lovrina. "Well the Black Zones might actually be our best bets of finding information of Ein's we could use, information SWIPE hasn't caught wind of yet, plus if they don't know what's in those areas they must not have security footage available there too. Though the Red Zones are probably safer as they might have information on what exactly is in there, or at least an idea of what." He said to Reno, then hearing Leslie and nodded in agreement, speaking louder at no one in particular. "Yes, we need to start somewhere and the Red Zones would be best. But I suppose the final say goes to miss Sinnoh Champion, right?" He said, now looking towards Cynthia. "Lead the way."

Monique was baffled. There clearly was a mismatch between what Keiko expected from Lovrina and what Keiko got from Lovrina. But in these quarters, there was no room to unpack anything. It left her feeling unsettled, a bit moreso than she already was. Still, sometimes you had to live with unsettled feelings. If you lived somewhere where the sky had a small chance of literally falling down on you someday, allowing toxic pollution to breach the Dome and killing all life, that was unsettling. But Monique was inured to it by virtue of it being all she knew—of course, that was until the year 2071.
It was a shame, too. Lovrina was actually pretty cute. Whatever the mismatch was, she seemed genuine and sincere. Definitely the sort of lady worth being around in more ways than one. She looked back at Cynthia, the chaperone on this field trip to a house of horrors, waiting for her to give the word on their next destination.

Ulla_Hanabi The little floral Pokemon that sat on Ulla's head shouted as she broke out of her own mind. The little Fairy Child was so deep in thought, she wasn't breathing as she was gasping for air. She looked around as she patted Comfey that was concerned for her well being. "S-Sorry...I'm alright. Let's keep moving forward." She said as Ulla's demeanor changed from a frightened, confused child. To a determined trainer to get answers. For now, all she can assume. That whoever these people were proclaiming they were her parents. Were merely imposters for some sick reason. She followed Cynthia to the elevator as she waited for everyone else to join as well. TerashiLeonGoken Shaking that train of thought out of her head, she positioned herself between Ulla and Lovrina. She had to focus on protecting the child she still had access to, and she wasn't going to let this evil b***h, put false ideas into Ulla's head. Lovrina looks absolutely stricken, tears welling up slightly in the edges of her eyes as Keiko shoves away from her and pulls Ulla along to follow in Cynthia's wake with the rest of the team. "Keiks.... what did I do wrong?" She sniffles, holding a hand out before covering her eyes and dashing away, off to find a corner to hide her tears from the rest of the research team. She had seen death and torture on a scale beyond what modern man had ever experienced, and yet it was a simple injury of the heart that scarred the most. MoniqueBrie It was a shame, too. Reno Vantas Shifting his way up through the crowd to stand beside Sub, he would place a hand on the leader's shoulder before declaring. "So sorry to say hi and run, Miss Lovrina but we were requested by Champion Cynthia to help out with clearing out some of these rooms post haste for an emergency. Hopefully you can begin a more indepth investigation in our wake." Making sure to give a pointed squeeze to Sub's shoulder, he would try to steer the leader over to where Cynthia was as he whispered, his Wynaut slowly beginning to poke out of his bag. "She remembers a whole different reality. Friends with Keiko, knows Ulla's should-be-dead parents, and somehow doesn't recognize you even passingly from what I could tell." Cutting off the whispered information as they got closer to Cynthia, he added in a much louder voice, "So I can debate on a few of those black zone spots but where do you think would be our best start?" Leslie would tilt her head, having boarded the elevator directly behind Cynthia as she prepared for what might be to come. "Why wouldn't we start at one of the red rooms and go from there? They obviously have enough important stuff to have actual traps and stuff." Might as well start with the certain challenges instead of blindly gallivanting around in the utterly unknown. SubonicXP "Yes, we need to start somewhere and the Red Zones would be best. But I suppose the final say goes to miss Sinnoh Champion, right?" He said, now looking towards Cynthia. "Lead the way." Blizzard120 Then something that had gave Tristen a bit of realization. “Ms. Cynthia?” Tristen spoke up during the ride up. “I’m guessing that you are part of SWIPE too since you were talking about making arrests and stuff. Is all of SWIPE part of Sinnoh’s efforts to do their own thing like you were talking about? And why no one really heard of them until recently with all of this stuff happening?” he asked. It was a fair question, I at least thought. Truthfully, it felt like in a way how Hoenn had HAZARD early on. Though HAZARD was hastily put together in retrospect, never mind manipulated by the likes of Lysandre. "Well, to tell you all the truth," Cynthia says, choosing to answer Reno's question first as they pile into the elevator. It whirs in a similar fashion to the platforms outside and begins to rise. Unlike the previous tunnel, this one has been painted completely black with Ebonite goop so there is no break from the gloomy interior as they rise. "The Red Zones that were outlined by the team are actively hostile which could mean anything from they have known threats to there are known threats loose in them. So they might have what you're looking for, but keep in mind that the tower is separated by use it's not a random funhouse of horrors despite its appearance. I for one don't think that the incredibly dangerous biological experiments holding pens are going to be in the same spot as the record keeping archives. But that's just me." The elevator clicks as they rise into a fairly non-descript room with the same emergency lights as before. This was one of the Blue Zone rooms Lovrina had pointed out as it was the main entrance into the tower it had been thoroughly swept and cleared. The blonde checks a very hastily-looking scrawled map on the scroll she has, proffering it as she takes up position at the rear of the party, clearly not intending on letting any of them slip off alone. She trusted them about as much as they trusted her, clearly. "I'm not part of SWIPE," She answers Tristan finally, "But that doesn't mean I'm going to let you all run amok without cause. You've said why you're here but... that's about as much as I know outside of the ruckus of you all being international criminals at this point in time. I can make arrests as a Champion, that's well within my purview as a member of the international government of Sinnoh. I don't know much about the group myself, honestly, other than hearing something about an international task force being created. I know my government did not create it. That's about the extent of what I know." Finishing her unusually charitable explanation, she prods the map. "The room in front of us is also a Blue Zone. But for some reason, despite being thoroughly explored the room directly on the other side from us is a Black Zone. Completely unexplored. I don't know why, but something about that is awful suspicious to me." As the group make their way through the tower into the next room, they would see three sets of doors. To the right, a Blue Zone, to the left, a Blue Zone according to Cynthia's map. In front of them, directly across the room, was a massive steel door, similar to the ones that they saw on the way in. A glowing green cursor blips over and over again, a keyboard set into the wall nearby. There was a single sentence, hanging in digital text on the screen set next to the cursor. 'Password Required'. What were the Snagems to do?

Wren listened to Cynthia's explanation but it did little to quell the unease that had setled upon him for the moment. ""Tradition" wasn't a good enough reason in hiis mind for Sinnoh to suddenly flip the script on them like this. Sure, he'd been absent from the Kricketot Incident but the information that came back with those who had gone was enough to make him wonder. At last check, Unova had been a staunch supporter of the Team despite some wariness of them. He'd been back for all of 15 minutes, not counting the flight here, and was already wondering if Sinnoh was the only region to have made such a sudden change when they were publicly criminalized again.
He followed along, arms crossed, as Cynthia pointed out they had a reason for being here and reminded, in an indirect way, they were only here because she offered to babysit. Climbing into the elevator with the others, he listened as she and the others spoke more. the explanation of the tower's "zones" hadn't told him much but he knew enough from when they'd dealt with Ein that this place was filled with deadly traps at every turn. So much so that now they were here and not actively fighting for their lives, he had to wonder how Ein's victimized workers had managed to get around?
"I'm inclined to agree with you. With what we know of Ein, i'd be willing to bet his records are scattered around the tower. Most likely in those 'black zones'." He responded, stepping off the elevator as the doors opened and looking around. "I'd be willing to test my theory if anyone feels up to finding out what's behind door number three?" He suggested, stopping in front of the massive door with it's keypad. "Granted there are any ideas for getting past that, at least." He noted, pointed to the keypad in question. "I doubt we'll be breaking the door down too easily."

The walls, The floors, all of it gave Deo the creeps. As he arrived at the fork in the path, he noticed something. The door with steel and a password to open it was indeed not covered in the lead like substance. Being silent, he used the X-Ray vision of his to reveal what was behind the steel door. He was hoping to find a clue, maybe even a excuse to break down the door. What he would expect may not be true at all. He knew that he had to keep silent. He wasn't the voice of the group, nor was he the best at diplomacy. What would become of Deo if he was caught working for SWIPE was haunting Deo throughout this mission. He had to keep calm. He had to keep cool. He could not let SNAGEM down.

Following Cynthia out of the lift and hearing her explanation, it got a brow raise out of Tristen, and it got my attention for that matter as well. The Sinnoh region wasn’t responsible for SWIPE’s creation? And given the Hoenn region’s reaction, it’s safe to say they didn’t have a hand in it either. Kalos was perhaps suspect considering that SWIPE had their hands on Team Flare model expansion suits, but then it’d probably be a little too easy to accuse them of anything. All the same, is it really another HAZARD situation? It is still too soon to say, never mind that we still have to take anything Cynthia says with a grain of salt or two considering that she doesn’t have any reason to actually spell out the truth to us. Not any more than SWIPE would, anyways. Still though, someone had the bright idea a couple years back in the wake of Ein’s defeat to organize SWIPE and kept it relatively hush-hush until only recently. Especially if a region’s champion truly knew about as much as we did. As much as I hate to admit it, we had to be content with Cynthia’s answer for now.
We ended up finding our way to the end of the line where the bunch would see the blue zones in each of the directions, other than one which was deemed a black zone. Completely unexplored. Something had me feeling a sense of déjà vu. This place looked vaguely familiar. “Uh, this…isn’t where we found Ein that day, is it?” I asked no one in particular, or more specifically those who was here at the end of that day. It also dawned on me about something. I was left to wonder if Cynthia was trying to bait anyone here. If someone actually remembers the password to the door that allowed us in, that could only give Cynthia more evidence to just pin us for collaborating with Ein and Cipher. Conversely, thinking about it, not doing it could only make us look like we’re stalling or deflecting. No matter, stay the course. “If it is, and it has been completely untouched since that day, then you might want to go find gas masks for a few of us…or a factory’s worth of air fresheners.” I said, grimacing. “Ein…uh, didn’t exactly keep functioning water in there, presumably.”
“Wait, wha…?” Tristen spoke up.
“He literally left his waste in whatever container he had on hand, and out in the open no less.” I had to explain further. “For all his genius, he couldn’t think to install a toilet.”
“Ewwwww…” Tristen said.

As Keiko entered the elevator, a nagging feeling started to bubble to the surface of her thoughts. Looker had mentioned that Lovrina had been a valued scientist, which didn't make sense considering her history with Ein. The Lovrina she'd met didn't act anything like the Lovrina she knew, the one that kidnapped her off the street and forced hybridization on her in the hopes of getting an army of hybrid babies. The thought of that still made Keiko sick to her stomach. But the Lovrina she'd just met didn't make sense in the slightest. Either her memories had been tampered with, which didn't seem likely, or something worse was going on. It made Keiko wonder if they'd even find proof of their innocence at all? What if what they found supported the...
Keiko slapped her cheeks. She was overthinking things, letting her fears take hold of her mind. She knew I was right, that this was the only way to get her kids back, so she was determined to stick with it. It'd all work out somehow.
It had to...

Sol had kept to himself as everyone went filed into the lift, listening as Cynthia explained the situation. He certainly needed nothing spelled out about how mortal coils could be left by Ein's hand. What left him was a deep sigh, as Cera and Amaranth shared a quiet unease throughout the trip. Hope would be promptly abandoned with further confirmation of revisiting nightmares of the past, and the Mew wouldn't find much ease with the Ebonite making it nigh impossible to see or sense much that wasn't already on the lift.
When they would finally see light again and be introduced to apparently 'Doctor' Lovrina, Sol would flinch. The Lovrina he knew of wasn't any doctor apart from the mad variety. Her hands would've been too tied to pursue a doctorate or be here or call anyone bestie. The same sort of shock he had about Bulder a few days ago hit all over again, albeit another case where most of his information came after the fact. But it still didn't line up and she certainly didn't seem to have the animosity that information would've surely led to. He couldn't deny the info she gave about the rooms were useful, but things still felt off...
Cera would try to observe herself, but having a bit less to go on didn't help her here and the dread of the situation proved to be distracting. She couldn't shake a similar feeling that something wasn't quite right, and she felt like there was something she should've remembered and wasn't. Her arms would be wrapped around the front of her as she eventually watched Lovrina run off, joining the rest on the elevator. Words kept escaping her as she opted to keep listening.
Amaranth, though beside herself still, couldn't say she remembered a Lovrina in the first place. She wasn't some Elektross hybrid sucking her dry like a smoothie. It was plain that she'd done something, what with Keiko's reactions, but it wasn't anything she was familiar with. And, if she was being honest, wasn't anything she wanted to ask about either for fear of opening wounds or instigating awkward topics. "Wait, I think..." She could swear the door they reached was familiar to her, so could the other two. And Blizzard's answer would confirm it immediately.
That door was the end of that whole ordeal. Or what was once thought to be such. "That is the door... but I can't say I recall the password," Sol said. "Sub, do you remember it? You were the one to figure it out the last time we came here."
"Actually..." Cera found herself drawn to the keyboard. A single word came to mind, something in the recesses of everything she saw and learned about Sub. She wasn't sure why that was rushing forth now, or if the word would even be correct. Something just told her it would be, and she'd press a key after a lot of hunting for the right one in sequence. "...m...a...t...e."
Checkmate, her mind continued telling her. But was it correct?

Crystal would watch Lovrina run off crying, frowning. She seemed genuinely hurt, something that kind of broke her own heart. However, the hybrid also doubted she’d be allowed to hang back here to talk with her while everyone else went in, so Crystal would instead continue following the others, crossing her arms and keeping silent, focusing on her own thoughts instead. That happened to be made much easier by the Ebonite that enveloped them as they were lifted through the tube, blocking out any outside distractions.
The way things were playing out, such noticeable differences, everything felt like they were more in another reality than just merely someone punking them. But, reality merging wasn’t a common occurrence, and the discrepancies like this were a bit too major to just be from merging realities. That brought up another possibility, though, one that gave her pause and made her breath catch in her chest. What if she wasn’t as accurate as she thought when she traveled? Either with Aden and Reno or with Monique and her sisters? What if she went to a reality that was close enough to theirs that she didn’t question that how that reality felt maybe slightly off? Or what if she just wasn’t that sensitive to it? Each unique reality had its own feel, which if any one asked her, she’d describe best closer to unique scents. Not quite accurate, but each reality was unique for her because of that. But what if her senses weren’t as sensitive as she thought? She was a young Solgaleo hybrid, despite her being the oldest person in their group, but what if that meant that some of her senses still hadn’t developed fully? She could have instead dropped everyone off in the wrong reality and just assumed it was right? And the reality where they were meant to all be was still missing them.
Crystal would glance over at Reno, then at Monique. If that wound up being the true thing, then she needed to figure out after which trip, if not both, that she messed up on with the landing, and extradite everyone she brought. If they wanted to leave, that is. Monique might overall accept things as they were here, not also wanting to relocate her sisters. Reno… Well, they’d have to find Aden first if the transfer point was at that trip. Which currently was going to prove a challenge to say the least, considering no one had seen no hide or hair of him in around a year. That part was going to be a challenge. If fate was kind, Aden would just wind up showing back up at some point soon, and that would sort itself out, especially if that was when she figured out where the mistake in jumping was. Light, how did she not consider something like this could have happened sooner? Something she tried keeping in mind was that she was just a mortal mind in a shell that was way out of her power level, something she wasn’t born into, just a way of thinking to try and keep herself humble. However, it also meant she was capable of screwing up, which this now was starting to point itself towards. Another mistake on the board for this intergalactic mishap, only this time it probably hasn’t affected just one interaction of Snagem, it’s affected multiple, with her pulling members into a different reality. What happened to the other team in the meantime while they were faffing around for a year? Did it fall into any sort of other chaos? Did they get an Ultra Beast invasion again when she left? She didn’t know if there were any other Zitons, but what happened if-
The catwoman would blink and look around quickly, looking at the now empty elevator that she stood in. She got really lost in her thoughts, she realized, as the group looked around in that room. Shaking her head, she would shove those thoughts and emotions down as she left the elevator herself. The woman needed to focus, there wasn’t any room for getting distracted here within Ein’s former domain. She couldn’t afford to trip up here and create even more issues for this Team Snagem.

Leslie would pipe as Cynthia began to speak about how things had an actual layout to it instead of simply randomly scattered around. "Hey! We got five seconds to look at that map and most of it was spent staring at the colors to know what the hell they mean. Do we look like we could pick up ANYTHING about the layout having some meaning to it when we're doing that!?!" Staring slightly indignantly up at Cynthia, the Tinkaton hybrid would eventually turn back to looking out the elevator car. This wasn't actual argument she was wanting to have this time, she just genuinely wanted their actual viewpoint heard for once in the past few days.
Staying near Sub, Reno would still be stewing over his confirmation that Lovrina had in fact been honest with all her responses. Which made one line stand out and gave him another point to look towards for figuring what exactly had happened and when. And then there was Cynthia's confirmation that SWIPE was international and also, specifically, not organized by the Sinnoh government. And it wasn't organized by the Hoenn government given they actually supported Snagem staying in their region.
Before he could continue down his theorizing, the doors of the elevator would open and they would quickly be confronted with an oddly familiar door. And before he could even begin to think about it past what Blizz had said, Cera would already be diving towards the command console to enter what had been the password. Without even saying a word, he would already be opening a Pokeball to release his Reuniclus again and already begin positioning himself and his Wynaut for whatever response the system would have to a potentially wrong password.

Monique nervously made her way with all the other Snagems toward the big, shiny door. They clearly had one door on their minds; even if she'd have rather explored one of the two Blue Zones, she'd been overruled before speaking a word. Cera made a beeline for the password terminal. Reno was bringing out two Psychic-types. Monique, sensing that danger must lurk beyond here if that was his response, brought out her Alolan Marowak, Kalama.
As she steeled herself for her first major encounter in Realgam Fortress, it occurred to her what she was facing. She was facing the past of the past: not just the past to her, in which she now lived, or the past as a whole, consigned to the pages of history. No, this was the lived past of much of Snagem. The heart of Cipher, whose "innovations" had fouled her present. Until this moment, she'd walked into Realgam Fortress unburdened by history—not to mention naive to the mounting discrepancies in reality. But here, she felt its weight, saw it loom ahead of her in thick steel plates. Every muscle in her body seemed to brace in this forbidding antechamber.

Amber stayed mostly in the background as things went down between Keiko and Lovrina. She'd never been good at dealing with tears, especially when it came to things she had no knowledge of. She merely followed along as the decision was made as to where they were going. She'd heard of Ein; hell, they dealt with the aftermath of that madman every time they came across Shadow Pokemon. However, she hadn't been around when Snagem had dealt with him, so she had no knowledge of what actually happened between the team and Ein. As such, she really had no opinion on where they should go. Seeing everyone getting Pokemon out, she let Spooky and Arauth out, knowing the two Ghost-types would be very cross if they weren't there to protect her.

Sub would again follow everyone, walking aside Reno, as they went deeper into the fortress, the foreboding atmosphere notable but not surprising, this certainly wasn't his first time in this place nor any of Ein's dens of horrors. The Ebonite goop didn't bother him either, in fact it felt kinda cozy if he was going to be honest but that was a fleeting thought as he recalled how difficult it will be to evacuate this place in case of an emergency and considering where they were an emergency was all but inevitable.
When Sol called out to him the Snagem leader intended to answer but Cera had figured it out before he could, again unsurprising considering he shared his thoughts with her once upon a time. Checkmate though, he could remember his last encounter with Ein well, the end of their 'game'. At the time he truly felt like he had finally won, that the game was over and Snagem was declared the winner and yet they ended right back to where it all started, as if the game was never finished, only paused. The only thing that he couldn't figure out this time is who his opponent was.
Gripping a Dusk Ball on his belt, this time not to pick a fight with the haughty champion, Sub watched the door which Cera was attempting to open and Deo tried to peer through. It was impossible to know what was behind that door and to not be on your guard in a place like this was a death sentence.

DeoLux Being silent, he used the X-Ray vision of his to reveal what was behind the steel door. He was hoping to find a clue, maybe even a excuse to break down the door. What he would expect may not be true at all. The door must be reinforced with the same Ebonite as the rest of the fortress, as Deo's not able to see through the door of the vault either, though continuing to try and see things with his vision was a great idea, because who knew when the ability would come in handy? MoniqueBrie As she steeled herself for her first major encounter in Realgam Fortress, it occurred to her what she was facing. DragonFang099 Seeing everyone getting Pokemon out, she let Spooky and Arauth out, knowing the two Ghost-types would be very cross if they weren't there to protect her. Reno Vantas Before he could continue down his theorizing, the doors of the elevator would open and they would quickly be confronted with an oddly familiar door. Espeon_Commander The catwoman would blink and look around quickly, looking at the now empty elevator that she stood in. TerashiLeonGoken Keiko slapped her cheeks. She was overthinking things, letting her fears take hold of her mind. She knew I was right, that this was the only way to get her kids back, so she was determined to stick with it. It'd all work out somehow. It had to... Darksol88 "Actually..." Cera found herself drawn to the keyboard. A single word came to mind, something in the recesses of everything she saw and learned about Sub. She wasn't sure why that was rushing forth now, or if the word would even be correct. Something just told her it would be, and she'd press a key after a lot of hunting for the right one in sequence. "...m...a...t...e."Checkmate, her mind continued telling her. But was it correct? Each press of the buttons emit a small beep out of the keypad as Cera manipulates it and enters what she assumes to be the password. There's a couple of daunting seconds before a loud 'beeeep' echoes out of the device, the keypad changing to a bright green color to indicate her success. Whirring cogs move behind the door with pneumatic tubes hissing as mechanisms behind it unlock. It slides aside into the wall with pinpoint crafted precision, revealing the dimly lit room behind it. Blizzard120 We ended up finding our way to the end of the line where the bunch would see the blue zones in each of the directions, other than one which was deemed a black zone. Completely unexplored. Something had me feeling a sense of déjà vu. This place looked vaguely familiar. “Uh, this…isn’t where we found Ein that day, is it?” I asked no one in particular, or more specifically those who was here at the end of that day. It also dawned on me about something. Decidedly not, as the Snagems file into the room one at a time, Pokemon at the ready, this was a much larger room than the end of the road burned out bunker that Ein had called home. Also, that was at the top of the tower where they had crashed in with the S.S. Anne II, or at least near it, this was more near the base. However, the password still worked, and as they end up making their way into the room outside of it being rather large with a high ceiling it was fairly unremarkable. There was a set of old-timey computer consoles with keyboards propped up at the far side. There were rows and rows of dozens of old CRT monitors inlaid into the wall above them, each of them blacked out and offline for the moment. ...until the last Snagem was inside, that is. As if on-cue, the monitors begin blinking to life one at a time, 'Apprehension Protocol Initiated' flashes across each of them in sequence. And before any of them can so much as move a muscle, an enormous thick sheet of something clear that also wasn't glass slides up across the doorway they had just come through, evenly sealing directly and air-tight across the opening. The vents in the room start to whir, springing into action as another massive partition of this glass-like substance bisects the room in the shape of a cross, the floor gliding apart smoothly to allow it to rise and impact the high-rise ceiling above them, effectively separating the Snagems into four groupings just by their placement into the room, some of the closer pairs separated by mere inches as the blockade rises: Group One:Blizz, Tristen, Cera, Amaranth, Ogerpon Group Two:Darts, Crystal, Keiko, Leslie Group Three:Sub, Deo, Amber, Wren Group Four:Sol, Reno, Monique, Ulla With time the vents whirring becomes hissing, and anyone energy-sensitive would get a faint presence of Ghost-type and Poison-type energies comingled as some kind of gas begins pouring out of the vents into each of their individual little cells. Clearly the reason for the setup for this room was to condense the gas into smaller areas, making it far more potent faster but to also allow for mass use. The Snagems standing nearest the vents would feel a deep, profound wooziness coming over them as they take their first deep breaths in. This wasn't a gas designed for killing, this was a gas designed to render anyone or anything unconscious post-haste and appeared to be some kind of blasphemous mixture of extracted Gastly or Haunter composition filtered through and synthesized with Koffing and/or Weezing Poison Gas, creating a weapon that was nigh-impossible to be immune to, or even resist, no matter your typing. Astutely, there was one key person missing from the room, having been taking up the rear as all of them had filed out of the elevator and out into the awaiting vault. Cynthia grins, her face almost pressed to the gas as she considers them manically, all veneers of self-control cast aside as her lips twist upward in triumph. "Finally..." She laughs to herself, her voice echoing from the distortion of being behind the Ebonite and Purite compound glass, watching as the invisible effluvium trickles in. " HE told me what you all did.... Did you all really think I was going to let you get away that easily? After the things you lot have done?" Almost giggling to herself, the Champion presses her hands to the glass, staring down the lot of them. "You're lucky I didn't just set this place up to kill all of you right now and end this madness here and now. But don't worry, justice is going to be served. He knew you'd know the password. And he knew you couldn't help yourselves scurrying back to the scene of the crime like the little rodents you are worth less than." It was a sudden, violent shift in personality that no one, certainly not Darts who had spent an entire mission with her once upon a time, had ever seen. Her eyes are wide, the gray insides of them dilated with excitement as her clothes and necklace sway back and forth with her movements. "Sleep tight, Snagem... your judgment is at hand..." More and more gas was pouring into the room. In less than ten minutes, all of them would be unconscious unless they found a way out of here.
