Eternal Cymophane Trying to take the Saturn ring from the skeleton to put it on Taenite.
Cymophane had a finger poised over the UNLOCK command, ready to touch it and dig through some boxes, when Taenite found himself all trussed up.
With an inquisitive tilt of his head, Cymophane listened to the little rhyme Taenite recited, turning it around in his head in the hopes that it would make some sort of sense. Parts of it did, but…
“Mord. Are you sure that’s the right word?” he said. “I don’t recognize it. I know mort is death in French. La petite mort and all that. Could it be related? I only know Russian and English. Morda is, like… muzzle, or snout.”
He approached to examine the chains, then the terminal Taenite had been investigating. The chains must have been some sort of magic, and obviously related to Saturn, but what was the point of the rhyme? The magic itself, a boobytrap of sorts? But when was it placed? Faustite hadn’t known about this place before. Jet hadn’t known about this place before. When had it been theirs? What did the Knights want from it? Proper weapons, or simply to sabotage the facility?
“Ye who bear a traitor’s sigil,” Cymophane said, trying to work things out for himself. “If it’s some sort of spell or curse left by a Knight, then the traitor’s sigil is ours, right? Tarnished lord. Silent vigil. Does the rest of it matter? You bear a traitor’s sigil, so… what if you didn’t? What if you bore one of theirs?”
Cymophane had no idea if it would work, but he figured anything was worth a shot. He left the room long enough to return to the skeleton. Whoever the skeleton had been bore the sigil of Saturn. The chains were Saturn magic. If they had a Saturn sigil for themselves, could they combat it?
An attempt was made: to pluck the ring from the skeleton and place it on Taenite’s hand instead.

Basic Corrupt Cryolite Rolling to Free Taenite while Cymo proposes kinkily~ Atk: 5 +1 Combat Stat = 6
A tarnished lord.
Cryolite had heard enough reactive rhetoric and backlash ‘Chaos’ slogans to make a slightly educated guess at who the rhym was hinting as ‘enemies’, but it made the rest of the place seem even all the more bizarre. “So, whose place are we saying this was then? Theirs and we took it from them? Forcefully — by the looks of our skelefriend…” spoken at an angle as he moved in alongside the Senshi pair.
He wondered if the ring Cymo had would grant Taenite some magical power, or make things more accessible to them all — or? Cause some new egregious and injurious event to unfold. Then realized, wide eyed, that he wouldn’t have to wonder long as the other Eternal slipped the ring on firewhirls finger.
Just in case the ring failed? Cryolite tried his hand too.
“Oh, there’s never a bad time to discover new links in a link Taenite, and look, Cymo’s making the best of the moment!” a shallow laugh, and then he was reaching for the chains carefully, searching for a weaker link to freeze beneath his touch. Finding a base to pull that wasn’t directly against Taenite’s skin, as he breathed out once, wary, and inhaled an icy fog after.
Sailor Scout Attack:
"Sublime Shroud!" Cryolite says the word, and his body temperature magically drops to below freezing. He is not affected by this, but anyone who comes in contact with him will feel as though they are touching dry ice and will feel as if they are suffering mild frostbite for as long as they are touching him, and for up to twenty seconds after they break contact. While he is channeling his magic, it will appear as if he is sublimating into a chilly, foggy vapor. The illusion of the cascading fog that bleeds off of Cryolite serves as a visual warning sign to any who can see it: it screams 'Super cold - Do not touch'.
No physical or lasting damage is done in this magic, only the very uncomfortable mental sensation of such. However, players can choose to sustain any lasting damage in the form of chills or up to mild frostbite.
Range: Touch/Grapple Duration: 30 Seconds Number of uses: 3, 2, 1 remaining! Number of targets: Whomever touches Cryolite
Psilomelane wasn't sure what to do with herself. Instead, she hung back and observed — if anyone got themselves into a pinch, then maybe she could help out with some of their med kit supplies, or talk them through it until someone else figured a way out. So she hung back and watched the others as they tried to poke through the new room. It worked, more or less, until Taenite was absolutely covered head to toe in chains.
"Oh, no," she whispered to herself, then started toward the young man wrapped in chains. Cymophane came up with an idea and Cryolite sought to rectify it, however, for which Psilomelane breathed a sigh of relief. If she had a way of projecting her magic onto others, then perhaps they could've freed Taenite easily. Instead, they had to tackle some kind of rhyme and solve that to get their teammate free.
So Psilomelane paused in her tracks, waiting nearby. She wanted to be certain that Taenite was alright before committing to any other investigations, for as long as Cymophane wanted to do so.
"If you're hurt, please let me know. I learned a little first aid," she offered, as she watched Cryolite work on the chains as well.

Benitoite liberated a ring and a weapon from the pile of old bones. Faustite's voice crackled to life on the General's tablet after he relayed his new insights. "Yes, we've identified Arnaud. Good work on uncovering more information. See if you can't get rid of those chains and get the elevator opened up."
In the other room, Cymophane [5] removed the skeleton's ring from its finger. By giving the ring to Taenite, the chains that held him had begun to disintegrate. Whatever force remained in the Saturn sigil itself had begun to evaporate, as well, leaving the symbol as a simple gouge in the tablet interface. Taenite would now be able to wrench himself free of their bonds.
The chains crumbled under Cryolite's [6] touch as he assisted in freeing Taenite.
By removing the trap, the secondary elevator became (almost) usable. Were it not for the broken terminal, they would have another way forward in lieu of the original elevator they took.
There were still some of the boxes to inspect, particularly the ones in the cage that Cymophane unlocked earlier.
Well this was interesting. Rigel's body jerked, watching as the world shifted to greyscale and... looked rather different for it. The lack of bones was obvious, but as he glanced up, he raised a brow at how many Negaverse agents were heading down the elevator. "Now you weren't there before," he murmured, before jumping when he realized there was someone beside him. A Pluto knight, he quickly realized, with a hand pressed to the control panel he'd just been investigating. "Oh... were you the one who left that symbol there?"
Not that he expected a response--nor got one--Rigel watched the scene unfold. Gale, Caz... nicknames for longer names of the knights? They always seemed to have such long ones... Rigel blinked. Arnaud's chamber..? His gaze travelled down to the hatch below them, less interested in the conflict now that the intriguing bit of information was dangling in front of him. Though, he did catch it as the knight's staff glowed, and then the P symbol he'd touched appeared on the controls, and laughed outright.
"So they died here, trying to prevent this from opening," he hummed as the monochrome field retracted into nothing once more.
"If everyone who just came down that hatch went back up to the elevator, I could at least open up the big one below us that'd let the elevator through," Rigel sighed to Benitoite and Kosmochlor, though he cast a bored look up at all the chains cluttering the shaft. "...well, after we deal with those."
He drummed his fingers on the rope he was still tied to, mind still whirling around the... curse or whatever the Saturn symbol had displayed. Ye who bear a traitor's sigil--
"Hm? What'd you find?" As the General picked up something from one of the bodies, Rigel peered over, intrigued.
Super Taenite Attempting to open a box. Roll: 3 (+1 for recon? idk)
”Excellent thinking, boss,” Taenite flashed Cymophane a grin when the ring was placed on his finger. He also gave Cryolite a wink in gratitude when the chains froze and crumbled.
“Thanks to you as well. Maybe we’ll find time to have more fun with chains later. But I can imagine General Faustite getting antsy. Thanks Silo,” he added one more wink at the lovely lady with them.
“I’m pretty durable, but that’s good to know. Definitely useful to know first aid. Here, make sure you have your first aid ready in case we blow up when we open these boxes. I’m just kidding,” he added quickly but when everything sounded like a joke it was hard to tell if he was actually joking.
Sporting his new ring that he was absolutely going to keep, Taenite waltzed over to the boxes Cymophane had unlocked access to earlier and tried opening one.
"Mmm, it looks like that is the case Rigel. I do wonder why there is so little left behind, bones aside." That was something which made no sense to him, it didn't seem normal. Though he supposed anything could have happened to such things, magic was involved after all, but it still didn't sit well with him.
Standing up he slipped the Pluto ring onto his finger and held it up, as if the other could see." Weapons aside I found a knights ring - Pluto." And he did have every intention of keeping it if possible, something to keep in his office or perhaps at home where it would be equally safe.
"The chains won't be easy..." But he was certain they could make it work, especially since they needed to clear it. Not only had they been told to clear it but it really was a good idea to have another option for moving around down here. He hadn't found anything else which was useful and the climb u p wouldn't be easy but he could make a try at it. Jumping for the chains he tried to grasp onto them and get his way back up so he could help with clearing the chains from the elevators path.

5+2=7? Keeping Pluto ring and wearing it, trying to get back up by grasping at chains to climb?
“Yay! It worked!” Cymophane cheered as the chains dissolved.
He felt brilliant, like a genius. He was decent when it came to combat and generally unafraid of taking risks, but it wasn’t often that Cymophane accomplished anything by using his brain. Average intelligence generally only got him so far. His other qualities tended to gain more notice.
In celebration, he offered a high five to both Cryolite and Psilomelane. (Let it be known that Cymophane was far from the most formal commanding officer.)
“Let’s get a move on so we can rendezvous with the others,” he said. He, too, could imagine Faustite getting antsy. “Once we’ve dug through these boxes, we can try to get this lift up and running. Maybe we can use it if the other team can’t fix the other one.”
Or they could back track and assist the other team, put their brilliant brains to use again.
“Faustite said this place was ours,” he told Cryolite in answer to his question, following Taenite to the boxes. “Doesn’t seem like anyone’s ever heard about it, though, so it must be pretty old. Maybe from way back when the war started? Did they have this sort of tech back then? I guess anything would’ve been possible when space was populated beyond Earth. Unless it is more current, but so super secret the info on it’s been lost. How would Knights have known about it if the rest of us didn’t, though? And how did they get in here in the first place?”
He was rambling, asking questions he didn’t expect any of his team to be able to answer. Cymophane liked a good mystery, even if he wasn’t always the best at solving them.
While Taenite tried to open one box, Cymophane dug into another.

Cymophane is investigating a different box from Taenite.

Taenite's [4] touch on the surface of the nondescript black box had awoken it. WELCOME, SUPER SAILOR TAENITE displayed on its surface in bright blue lettering before going dark. A moment later, the prompt to open the box or leave it shut had popped up. As Taenite tapped through the prompts, the lid of the box would open by simply retracting, though it was difficult to discern to where the lid retracted. Inside, Taenite would find twenty maces, each neatly secured against a single metal bar with either magic or magnetism. Each weapon sported a downward-facing crescent moon with a starseed entrapped between its points, positioned on their hafts as a signature that matched the weapon outside.
Cymophane's [3] box greeted him similarly. As it opened, however, it had begun to jam, and the lid only reached the halfway point in retracting from the top of the box. Inside, Cymophane would find twenty more maces. It seemed, then, that each cage held one specific ware, no matter the count of boxes inside.
In the elevator shaft, Benitoite was able to grasp the chains and move higher up without incident. Having an enemy's signet ring on his finger posed him no extra trouble. Once he reached the elevator itself, he would find it easy enough to climb over the rails and rejoin his team.
