Oh no! Not again! Were the two of them really going to have an exchange of words in the dark like this? Were the differences in opinions on everything about to clash once again in some way? The notation of it could be picked up, based not only on Ylva's response towards going on ahead again, carrying the extra tone in disregard to someone, but from Kai having thrown his accusations at Garrett. Towards Ylva's resolve to scout ahead again alone, the young woman couldn't blame her for wanting to solo scout. Less noise, a chance to take breather, and based on the timing all in itself, she was timing it all just right, given the rising disagreement she herself was witnessing before her in this dark place. In a way, Sasselia felt as if she was eavesdropping or intruding, just be being there as a stand in witness to the conversation. Had there been any other tunnels to scout, she probably would have done such action as well. Then again, she did feel it a safer option, considering the tension was riding from the anger of both males in the group. It was crazy how they were even able to hear each other over the sounds of the gears at all. It was a miracle in itself alone. The loud effects were looking to be the least of any worry at all, once it was the three of them in the room remaining, just as the timing and the place were also looking as such to them. "W-we shouldn't be doing this right now..." With a worried gulp, she had kept her attention ahead with her helmet. shining the light in their direction, in order to see them more proper the best she was able. So crazy how darkness can be so thick and miserable to see through!! Another thing that was seeming to be the least of their worries as well. "I don't know how they're doing this without feeling the in-intense pressure of the darkness enfolding u-upon them. Either it is ignored, or they don't find it as worrisome a-at this point..." Indulged in her own thoughts, she had retracted from her mind back to them, just as Garrett had began on defending himself, claiming he didn't know any more or less amount of information than Kai already had at his disposal. From the tone alone, she was able to see that he was trying to hold negative emotion back away from him, which could not be said the same for Kai, whose agitation on the line of questioning had clearly began bothering the pair of them equally. That much was confirmed, given the lower barred jab from Garrett to Kai on his choices for having him here at all if the situation were different. Sass felt that one even on her own person, as the logic behind it all made sense, given her own amount of experience she carried that probably could never be regarded on the same level as Garrett at all. "H-he has a point...""H-hello, I don't mean t-t-to interrupt, but we-... uh?" Glancing towards an assumed spot in the dark as to where the gears could have been, she herself had went silent, almost ready to approach the direction. The dead silence cause her to shiver from worry, it's now lack of sound causing discomfort. "Wh-what just happened?" Believing the gears to have broken down, she ended up covering her ears to the sudden high pitched noise waving out at them in a dastardly thrall, bringing her down to her knees on the ground, gasping at the rush of pain towards her eardrums. "Wh-why!?" What just happened!? Believing there to be more sounds reeling off of those gears, she had prepared and embraced herself to be on the ball and ahead. The gears however, had tricked her, just as she rose properly to her feet, working as if nothing painful had occurred on her, or any of them in the room. "Well, that was very strange..." Back to the topic? She had assumed after the interruption, that they were going to drop the topic. Another choice being they were feeling semi better.
The confrontation did not seem to end there either, as Garrett had then went more into a more logical standpoint on the scenario they were all in themselves, adding in information towards the design of a device he had found. It was inside a grimm!? What need would a grimm have to be carrying any sort of device at all? To that, she had overheard Kai speaking out a small amount of words towards the nobleman then, regarding a reasoning for being in the outskirts on a different location and time. Hm... Peculiar. By then, she had wished to intervene, but the wonderful timing of Ylva had come about, wit her report as to her findings. A comment was in store for her, but there were no questions to throw towards anyone. Besides, it was better to let them hopefully sort it all out, in order to try properly be able to work as a team. The other two the most in particular were not about to make things any easier, especially for them two students, if nothing was going to get better. Maybe blowing off steam through speaking on their next base of action could help? Both Garrett and Ylva had been keen to move it along to something as important as the next standpoint. As for Kai, she had hoped he was willing to calm a little to think more rationally with them. Kai of course, was stuck on his ways and mood, already walking ahead of them. "So much for any attempts to have their conversation fixed, and some cooperation..." Sighing softly under her breath, she had glanced towards the remaining two, taking note of the wind picking up around them, with it's current strengthening behind her. "Pr-proceeding is the most we can continue at this point. I-I do say we shouldn't have Ylva's findings go unignored, and see if we can get the door opened. B-besides... Does anyone else f-feel the intensity of the wind p-picking up? I wouldn't wish to try back tracking all too much. Please proceed a=ahead."

Ylva had been off to scout when the gods-awful screeching that had echoed through the cavern. Forcing her ears down, she resisted the urge to howl from the pain. Her knees buckling before she would continue her scouting."He's a b***h for sure,"Ylva thought, annoyed. Shaking her head by the time the screeching ended and continued on before returning with her findings. Upon return, it would seem she'd come back to unrest."Idiot,"the she-wolf muttered with annoyance."You're an a**,"The young wolf thought, as it was clear from the look on her face as she looked to Kai before looking to Garret with a calm expression and giving her report.
Looking to Blue, from her comment, she would nod in answer. Then, looking back to Kai afterwards, she frowned."I shall finish the mission with you, but just so we are clear: Just because you were born in Vacuo, doesn't make you a native,"Ylva said calmly before bowing and walking back to the blackness that was no trouble for her Faunus eyes."Something that needed to be said so we know where we all stand,"The young wolf thought to herself. The air probably intense with her statement before Kai's storming off, she would let it rest for now.
"It only gets more intense the further we go in,"Ylva confirmed as she would lead the other two into the cavern. In the cavern, past the rock pile they would meet up with the big oaf of blond hair."I just hope Sun will not be the death of us all,"The petite tribeswoman would ponder this as they walked in. Her ears would fold back as intensity would indeed grow with the thrashing winds."Might want to listen through the door before you open it,"Ylva suggested calmly without raising her voice.

Garret ignored the comment; if the Hound was so certain on finding something to blame him for, it would be wasted effort to try and convince the man otherwise. 'He is more paranoid than I thought,' Garret noted to himself. He knew mentioning the devices similarities would not help his own case, but he was being honest in what he knew. And blunt at this stage, as words would be wasted if he tried otherwise. As Blue would chime in, about to speak, they would be interrupted by the screech of the gears. Garret had barely registered the fact the gears had stopped at all at some point, having to deal with the onerous Hound, so when they started again with a painfully high pitched noise he would bring his hand up to cover his ears for a moment as he winced. His ears would adjust, but he would be left with a faint ringing sound in them for a little bit. Looking to the source, he would see the gears had changed direction...and seeing the lever by Kai, it was not hard to put two and two together. The fact the lever was still where Garret last saw it only meant he had done it before any of them were there. 'When the students are more helpful and thoughtful...' Garret began the thought before the Hound began to speak. He would say they were finishing this, but afterwards they would settle it as true natives of Vacuo. It did not need to be spelled out to Garret; such things were decided by duels. He would make idle remarks of how if he was scared of being beat by him, he would not survive the sands. Garrets own grip over Heir had tightened, and there was an intense look about his own gaze. His expression was a barely held calm. "If it shall get you to stop barking and jumping at your own shadow, then fine. Our weapons shall settle this; I only hope your ego shall recover from the results," Garret would say in response to him.
At around this time, Wolf would chime in too; Garret having not even noticed her arrival given the Hound. She would report her findings, and comment on how just because he was born in Vacuo did not make Kai a native. While it was not ideal, Garret could not help but feel satisfaction that Kai was being insulted in return for how he acted. Garret kept quiet on that part and nodded to Ylva though, before commenting on moving on. Hound needed no such encouragement and was already off, saying there was no need to ask since all they could do was go forwards. Blue would then comment saying all they could do was proceed, and that they shouldn't ignore the information Wolf gathered. She would also ask if anyone else felt the intensity of the wind picking up. Garret would pause and listen/feel the wind, now that they had a moment respite from Hound, and nod. "It seems to be headed deeper into the darkness now. Lead the way, Wolf," Garret would acknowledge to Blue before having Wolf lead them on with her superior vision. Hound had already gone off, with Garret hoping he would trip and have his pride wounded, but gave no other thought to him for now. Instead focusing on trying to keep alert. They would seem to enter a larger cavern, judging by the sound of things, and with warning of wind intensity increasing Garret would tighten his grip on his spear and be careful with his stance/footsteps so as not to be pushed too much by it. The room was somehow darker than the prior one, their lights seeming to barely penetrate into it, as he kept his sweeping but angled to the floor. It seemed the room was also slanted down, and as they traversed further, led to a rocky mound. While Garret couldn't see the ceiling, he had an uneasy feeling about it and why it was there. As they rounded it, they would come across a door and Hound, with Ylva advising him; though Garret wasn't sure he would heed it. 'Things have been too calm...' he thought to himself with Wind whipping his clothes. Another question came to mind; why was wind being forced this way, to a closed doorway and room. For now, he would wait on guard; focused on the rocky mound and behind them as the rest of the group presumably was looking to the doorway.

The sharp words of Kai would echo off the cavern walls. Once the words stopped flowing only the somber tones of wind accompanied by the shifting of gears crept in. But it seemed this group was in the middle of some pretty intense disagreements. Fortunately, nothing out of the ordinary would change beyond what they had already experienced with the gears.
Once they all had gone down the hall and into the large dark cavern, past the large pile of boulders in the middle to the door on the other side. They could analyze the large door. It was thick. Likely six inches thick of solid oak. It had been here for many decades, yet was well preserved and not weak whatsoever. Likely due to the fact that this room was dry unlike most of the caves down here. Nonetheless, the door handle was a tad rusted and hard to turn. A bat would screech up above as they studied the door. Obviously annoyed at the intruders to it's home. It would swoop down upon them occasionally, but was too small to due damage.
[Roll 1d10 to try and open the door. 8+ is required. You get +1 for strength skill or similar skill for a max of +2 for this roll.]
[2/10]
After the first person attempts to open the door. A strange creaking sound can be heard from the pile of boulder behind them. It disappears almost as fast as it came. Faunus are able to see a few pebbles shift. A single one falling off the pile and rolling along the floor for a brief moment. Too small and quiet for anyone but a faunus to see. Garret would notice the sound though as he was looking in that direction.
Garrett would see something that was invisible to the others though, a beautiful blue butterfly. Glowing ever so slightly in the darkness. It fluttered from who knows where and landed on top of the boulders in the center of the large cavern they were in. It's little antennae twitching in the wind. As if it sensed something; danger.
❝Be Prepared, or expect Death's hand to grab you ❞
The only thing on Kai's mind was getting to the end of this. The darkness wasn't getting to him for better or worse in regards to his tunnel vision. His main focus in regards to the situation. He didn't notice the situation unfolding in regards to the wind blowing. Even if he was paying attention it was much harder to notice due to his hakumen armor he had on. When Ylva came to comment, he scoffed at it. "It's hilarious how a child thinks she has authority over who is truly that of Vacuo. The lands were my home way before you were born. Let's make something truly clear little girl. I can deal with that idiot over there. I know how to do whatever to survive. The true issue is that a stubborn b***h wants to get in the way instead of analyzing and acting appropriately. Remember your pride was the one that got in the way of my strikes on the grim back there. Get your s**t together and remember your training miss Native". What was there even to do? Would this really be the group to be able to get the mission done? Or would they fail?
He enjoyed the fact that he was going to get to duel Garret. It was a long time coming for sure. Besides, better understandings always come from the end of a blade. Heading into the darker areas, Ylva didn't take long to come back to the lead. He didn't comment on it though and just continue. The wind became stronger, now even being able to be noticed by Kai as the strong wind knocked against his body. Unnatural this wind was, it made him curious as well. Why was it seeming to go towards a closed door? Actually. Why was a door there at all? Why was such a room there as well? Coming up to the strong solid door, Kai would try to open it. He was close but unable to open it at all. He struggled, but his strength was not enough to get it to budge at all. After trying to open the door, he would notice that a creaking sound was produced. He wasn't sure where it was coming from. It came from the area where the huge pile of boulders was located. Kai would quickly look around trying to find the source of the noise. Unfortunately, the darkness was not making it easy.
"Garret. Try to get the door open. I'll cover the rear. to make sure nothing jumps us" He commented as he looked towards his future dueling opponent.

All this fighting... Sasselia wished it to stop already. Here they were, majority on a continuous repetition to argue and fight, no matter what anyone else chose to do. Now here they were talking on weapons, dueling, and whether someone was a true native to Vacuo or not. "Th-this cannot keep on happening..." Wanting to speak up to Kai on them staying together being more beneficial, Kai was already gone on ahead, with the remaining three at the time discussing on the route. Sass herself had believed that she getting too fatigued on believing this wind amongst all this arguing, with her earlier mentioning to it now being a little silly sounding. Garrett had confirmed it otherwise, which had helped ease the stress a bit. "I-I wish I had brought some chewing gum to help alleviate the wind pressure... I-I do not wish to have my ear drums popping..." Maybe it wouldn't be so bad, since the others were arguing too much. "This isn't going to end well, if things continue like this... I'll... I'll have to be the middle-woman of all this should things get more severe..."
Could she actually be able to speak up and say something however? That would be too soon to tell. Having this idea in stone was the most she could come up with as a failsafe at all. By this time, the more one was going to treat another as an outsider of their own homeland, the more necessary needs a failsafe was going to be needed. With the wind picking up to top it off, maybe the wind was presentable enough to bestow upon for the next part of their investigating. Anything was worth it at this point for a safe than sorry cause of chance. "May the wind be a silencer in the troubles of my allies.. May their words be erased into the wind..." A silent prayer of hope, Sasselia had to face facts that there will be issue down the line regardless. All she was sure to muster at all was to be there and remain out of the quarreling. As such, the wind was still beckoning them on into the dark, and there was no time to waste incase something was about to come out at Kai while he was separated from them. All this dark surrounding them was of no comfort as it were. It was per reason, that she had been in agreement with the two on proceeding, with Ylva taking the lead. "Th-that would be wise... Long as we can withstand this wind at all. I do not like the sensations it carries upon us." awaiting for Ylva to proceed, she would begin to move after the wolf, staying as close as she could to them both without trying to get in their personal space. The larger cavern that it had lead them to however, almost had swept her off her feet with the fiercer winds picking up. To make matters worse, the floor was slanted, against her bitter judgement, which she had only managed to figure out on her own by the wy she had used her glaive to keep her upright from falling. "The leveling of the floor under my feet is not looking to be perfectly flat at all... Almost like a tunnel." That was the mindset as it were. as the group had proceeded on. All Sasselia knew upon herself, was for the wished of them all making it down the hall safely. "this calmness is a little too much for comfort." A small accurately taken train of thought, which had broken once they had come into range with Kai and the door, away from the boulders. None of it felt right however, and from it all, she was honestly getting a little more skittish. "ah!" What was that screech!?!? Thinking they were in danger a moment, Sass was panicking with an inaudible gasp of fear, preparing just about on taking a stance to fight. It wasn't until the creature had swooped in close enough, had she clued in that the screech was the making of a normal bat. ["I-I should have known that...Bats normally dwell in places such as this.... G-get it together..." Still, if this normal bat was going to swoop down on them continuously, there was going to be trouble on composure from all the jump scaring. "I-I get that we are the intruders, but what a rude bat...." The door that Kai was trying to open was a more important priority for that matter. Seeing as he was unable to get it, she was astonished he was asking Garrett in the first place. "I'll continue watching the middle ground then, and try to wave away our rather rambunctious flying friend who keeps swooping at us from above... Pr-props to them for even being able to fly at all in these caverns, with the wind velocity like this.."

Ylva looked to the tall blond and his snarky face."He is quite annoying,"Ylva thought, her expression rested annoyance from this Vacuo-wannabe as he seemed to whine."Almost 16 springs since the fall, where were you when Vacuo needed you,"the she-wolf asked point-blank and challenging."If you were truly for Vacuo, you should've stayed,"The young wolf finished in her head and her gaze said it as well as he decided to curse her and leave ahead; ending the conversation for now. When it was just her and the other two humans, she would relay the information she had before they would be going back to the caverns she had scouted.
Gods, she hated the wind, it was annoying and made her ears hurt, but she would take them to the door she had informed them of. Looking around at the darkness, she would sigh softly. In truth, she had less faith in Kai than she did in the others due to his lack of admitting his fault (like humans cannot see in the dark. She'd nearly stiffened when Blue would exclaim due to the bat...instead she chuckled softly. Though she was looking to the pile, she had not missed the pebbles rolling."Please continue with the door, I'll be back,"Ylva said when it was Garret's and Sass' turn to try the door; With Kai guarding the others backs, she would carefully step around him with silent steps."I won't let either be hindered...again,"The young wolf thought as she looked around while making her way Towards the rock pile, Ulv Lofte held in caution as she did."What's in here,"Ylva thought as she was super focused on the scouting rather than the three by the door...

While Garret had eyes glued behind them and to the rock pile, Hound would attempt to open the door. Things were far from ideal; the darkness seemed to be giving an ill feeling, and the wind made it hard to hear any quiet sounds. It also made movement slightly awkward from the force of it; as if they had to fight the wind just to move or stay as they desired. Trying to keep his senses as open as possible, and stance firm to prevent being put off-balance, Garret would also have to wave away an annoying bat with his spear who did not seem to like their presence here. 'How is it flying so well here? How long has it been here?' he wondered to himself. It seemed like, if the bat had taken residence above somewhere, this place must not have had the wind as it did before. Or perhaps it did, given the bat was intent to harass them rather than leave. Despite such distractions, Garret noticed a creaking sound emanate from the rocks and disappear just as quickly; as if it did not occur at all. He also noted a pebble fall from the pile and roll a bit; coincidentally timed with Hound's attempt on the door. 'That does not bode well,' he thought to himself, preparing himself for danger especially as the blue butterfly reappeared and landed on the rock pile. It had been appearing and disappearing a lot on this mission; though it had not led him astray. It led them down the correct cave, and then to the recording, and now to the rocks as they shifted slightly. 'Why are you helping me?' he wondered silently, noting it seemed to be sensing potential danger. Having been so focused on such things, and the prevailing winds around them, he had missed much of his teams words save Hound telling him to get the door and that he would guard instead.
Garret raised an eyebrow at that, wondering what stopped the vocal and confident Hound from doing so and needing his help, but he did not comment on that for now. Instead, he would meet Kai's gaze. "Keep an eye on the pile. Something seemed to disturb it when you tried the door; I saw some pebbles falling from it," he would warn Hound. While they may be quarreling, he knew when to focus on the more important things. Blue would comment she would keep an eye on the middle ground and deal with the bat, also commenting on how it was a wonder it could fly in these conditions. Wolf would then say to continue with the door, and that she would be back. "Careful, Wolf, I feel as if we are soon to trigger a trap or be attacked," he would warn but not stop her. He was hoping the ill feeling and omen of the butterfly was just paranoia; but he wanted to be prepared nonetheless. With everyone seemingly set on a task, and at least alerted, he would try the door. Turning his gaze away from everyone else, he would plant his feet into a steady stance on the ground as he studied the door. It seemed thick and durable, not worn away from however long it was down here, though the handle was rusted. Experimentally trying it showed it was not going to be simple to open. Attaching his spears to his back so he could have both hands free and unhindered, he would begin to position himself to try to open this door. Putting his shoulder to the door, Garret would attempt to press down quickly and with added weight with both hands to force the handle to move.

Kai would see little but the dark shadows of the boulders in the center of the room. They would start to rumble. The entire room would come alive with what resembled not an earthquake but more like how one would imagine the surface of something being drilled. A quick vibration that was so intense the very dust hopped off the ground a whole inch. Pebbles would fall from the ceiling above as some bats would start to screech and flit about.
Sass would soon be swarmed with bats which assumed she must be the cause of the chaos. They would swoop down at her violently, but their tiny claws were not strong enough to be anything more than a nuisance in the chaos.

Garrett's attempt to force the handle worked. It would eventually slide open with a loud creaking noise. It was a heavy door, but he opened it with ease. He would then see the blue butterfly flitter up in the air and glide through the doorway. Fleeing the scene. But that is when the pile of boulders erupted. Rocks flying like shrapnel in all directions. The whole cave was coated in a thick dust cloud. The doorway they had just opened was pitch black, and narrow. What lay beyond was unknown.
The rhythmic sound of heavy footfalls against the stone cavern floor resonated throughout the chamber as something large made its way through the rolling clouds of dust. The thuds paused for a moment before suddenly picking up speed, sounding like a stampede of Grimm charging through the cavern, bearing down on one of the group members
Steely fingers would catch the back of the golden-haired one's shirt, pulling him along past the group, through the dust cloud only to slam him to the ground as the figure skidded to a halt. pressing the boy against the rough stone to tear at his front The figure was massive, easily over seven feet tall as it drew to its full height. Broad-shouldered and boasting muscle under ornate armor colored pearl and gold with flecks of blue that shimmered whenever the light caught it
"Children" the figure scoffed, voice distorted by a filter in the horned helm as it lifted Kai up and examined the map of cuts and scrapes hewn into his skin by the rock floor "My first trial in so long...and they send me to deal with children from the huntsman school...I would call it an insult. No honor among you, weak of body and mind...why the master sees you as worth any effort is beyond me...However" The armored being gave Kai a playful toss into the air, his limp body pinwheeling slowly before being caught by the ankle and slammed hard against the floor before being thrown toward the cavern wall behind the armored beast, where he collided with an unhealthy sounding crunch. "You'll serve as an adequate amusement for the time being...or you may run and save your own hides while I make busy killing your little friend. Although...I don't think he's going to make it to the surface in one piece either way" The armored figure chuckled as they turned and began making their way toward the crumpled figure of Kai, cracking their knuckles and rolling their neck.
[Kai is unconscious at the opposite end of the cave.]

As Garret would turn the door handle, it taking considerable effort and strength despite him putting his full body into it, the cavern would begin to rumble and rocks shift again. More would fall from the sky down onto the group. Before the pieces could be put together, the handle suddenly lost all resistance as he almost slammed it down to open. At the same time, the rumbling reached a new crescendo as the earth shook violently around them and made it hard for any of them to keep their balance (unless they had a balance talent/skill). Only Garret would see, as the door opened slightly during this, there was another beyond it with a curving path leading away as well. Large rocks would rain down from above, with numerous pebbles falling like rain and dust rising all around. Before anyone could escape the area, the ground by the mound suddenly gave way! With the room slanted towards where the mounds once were, the tumbling rocks and team Rysk would find themselves sliding down into the newly formed hole!
As they fell, they would see pipes jutting from the earth and spilling sewer water down into the hole. But they were not falling into some simple pit, it seemed to be some hall of some sort. As they would land and recover form the fall, taking a moderate hit to their aura from the whole ordeal, they would have a moment to recover and assess their surroundings. Water was pooling around them and the rocks above finally settling; it had completely blocked off one end of the hall, and seemed insurmountable to go back up; but, there was another way to progress as the east hall was not yet blocked. However, three pairs of red eyes glowed in the darkness and sprang to action.
(Each Beowolf is level 1.5)
The beowolves block the hallway off. The first one lunges at Ylva and latches onto her leg to try and pull them deeper into the hall. The other two jump at the first one to defend their teammate.

❝Be Prepared, or expect Death's hand to grab you ❞
Why was Yulva here? Literally. Why was she here? To Annoy the blond? Was it his curse to have to be with such an annoying pup? He looked at Ylva when she tried to pull where he was when Vacuo needed him. "I did the best I could as a child. Where was I? making sure that the cute blue haired chick with red eyes was safe and didn't die. Wasn't for me she wouldn't be here today along with others from our land. I pushed myself to the edge, didn't even have a true weapon, and still learned how to use my semblance to help out that I could to get people out of Vacuo. If we could fight to keep it I would of love to stay...but it a lost cause. No it was a lost cause.. and no matter how you feel about it or about me, I damn sure going to make sure it gets back to its glory" He commented with a subtle rage before looking away, not even realizing some of the undertones he stated. It didn't matter. Job now . Argue later. With their plan made, he looked at Garret and nodded as he went back to working on the door.
What was taking him so long? Kai felt like something had to be around but he wasn't sure what or who it could be. Nothing was showing up and he couldn't sense anything. Not like he had a talent for that anyway. Yet, he felt like something bad was going to happen. It always happens in these situations. He saw nothing but dark shadows around the boulders near the center of the room. They began to rumble but nothing came. The rumbling was something unnatural but to Kai he wondered if it was an earthquake at first. Yet, it felt different from any he experienced. Another vibration came that gave Kai a different answer. This wasn't an earthquake, but what was it? A semblance? Was someone there? Show yourself!
Garret ended up getting the door open, but it came at a cost. "s**t." He whispered as rocks started to fall from the sky and an intense seismic activity took place. Knocking Kai over to his stomach, he struggled to get back up as more rocks, larger in size would start to come. Whether a trap or something failing due to no safety checks, the end result was going to be PAIN. The room slanted, making them all pour towards the center mound-like pancake batter being poured into a skillet. Thinking back to Vacuo and still being somewhat high off of yelling back at Ylva, his first thought was to make sure Sassellia was safe. Quickly a Kuntai would be aimed towards Sass's body, his accuracy talent coming into play as he threw it with great precision. If successful, it would latch onto Sass like a lasso and he would pull himself close to her and pull into an embrace. Holding her close, he would use his body to cuddle her to try to protect her right before making it to the end of the fall, body smacking into the ground. His aura flickering from the hit. If he failed, then he would have just flopped onto the ground like a fish.
No matter what occurred, after a few moments of hitting the ground, he would get up more annoyed than ever. He definitely wasn't a shining sun. That was for sure. Grabbing hold of his blade, he would try to reassess the situation. <********... warning next time?" He asked Garret. Soon as he took a step, the red eyes approached. He moved back defensively only to see Ylva get latched by a beowulf and dragged away. His first instinct was to go after and try to help her escape, but he remembered her semblance. He just had trust she could survive where it was dragging her. Seeing the other pair of reds....he just had to have faith or hope she was smart enough to use her semblance then. Looking at the other pair of reds, he would attack one of the other beowuolf with an aura slash, sending it shooting down the hall in all of his Blue aura glory. He made sure to pick the one farthest from the beowolf that took Ylva so he wouldn't hit her on accident. But to be honest, that really wasn't a worry. He never missed (so the legend says in his mind)

Why was Kai and Ylva taking this considerably odd time to be talking about their heritage, and things they had done back in Vacuo? None of that should have mattered for the time being... Yet there it all was before her and Garrett still. Sasselia herself had been about to finally jump in to hopefully break their disagreement up. Upon trying she had faltered short, going a deep shade of crimson at the mention oh her, and his heroic feat upon saving her so long ago. Was... Was this really the time and place to be saying that!?!? Well... It had taken her attention away from the bats... That was something! All flying rats with wings, and fighting back and forth aside, Sasselia was more focused upon observing and keeping watch, just as Garrett tried to open the door. Once he had succeeded on the door itself managing to open, the bats were of little to no concern of hers. Well... More like she had to force herself to keep her attention away from the things in this place. Much as she wanted to keep being frantic, the obstacle was open and dealt with, and she would have had to force herself to calm down regardless. Calming down was showing to be an option that was nonexistent to try for. Just as Garrett had opened the door, chaos began on corrupting their already unstable minds. "Wh-what's going on!?!?! Was this a cave in!? Sasselia tried to keep her balance, the uprising shaking all around them freaking her out entirely. "I-is this a cave in!?" There was no stammering in her voice, only for fear to be the cause of it all. "Nonononon.... no!" Hyperventilating from fear, the poor woman had fallen onto her back, almost losing her composure. What cinched it for her was the falling rocks that began on descending around them, causing the ground to shake even more furiously. "I r-refuse to die this way!" Making a cry out in anguish, she had almost been about to curl up herself protectively, grasping her arms at head level into a protective manner, intertwining her fingers behind her head. All through this her glaive was locked between her legs, and was kitty cornered in the groove of one of her arms. "Hold tight.. Hold tight..." Whatever was going on, this was certainly no fun and game moment for anyone. Something like this inflicted the thoughts in the back of her head, with an almost "seeing one's whole life before their eyes" fiasco in the mix. So lost into her own fears, she had to snap out of it, once the ground began to take a turn for the worse. Were... Were they sliding into a hole!?!?! With no time to act upon it, she had believed to have been in the gravest of dangers, about to flail and reach around for anything to grab onto. Her fingers dug into the dirt itself as she had began to start sliding, but she didn't go far, just as something whirred past her, before she was pulled close into the direction of Kai. "Oh!" Pulled into warmth and surprising protection, Sasselia had held on tight, too scared to notice on the physical contact. Closing her eyes tight even, there was expectation of them hitting a lot of incoming impact, due to the spray of water hitting at them as they had descended down. Distance was of no issue as the ground had closed in as quick as they had fallen. Despite his protection, it had saved from everything but the impact on landing, but the heart of it all brought some familiarity to Sasselia, who was a stammering wreck when she had noticed the closeness just before the landing.
"Eep!" There was the ground saying hello, welcoming them all with a welcoming landing, some messy dirt raising, and most of all, damage to aura. "Oof!!!" Getting separated from the blond on the landing itself, she had opened her eyes to see that she was still alive, looking around For any idea as to where they were. Aura was fortunate, but also a hassle at times like this, especially when she had felt it sizzle about from her own amount of hitting the ground. "I.. I must start conserving..." Whispering to herself, and overseeing she was pretty much fine, aside from the shaking, the others on her team had come into mind. "Where is Ylva!!!! Where is Garret!?!? Where are we!?.. This doesn't seem like a darker cavern part just ordinarily...." Scrambling up to a sitting position, all was seeming to be alright at first, the change of their surroundings ebbing more discomfort into her, simply by the confusion and grounding that needed to be reformed within her heart. Taking the chance to peer about from her sitting point, frightened more now for the condition of her teammates. Kai was alright from what she could see seeing as he had stood up to his feet. He was also he closest of the other to him, Ylva and Garret she could see as well, just before the said dangers had occurred to them. Water was all around them pooling, making the air have a slight hint of chill among the already stagnant air. Raising her head to peer above, the rocks had settles, filling some sort of relief. "How will we get out of here though... The only familiar way out if blocked..." An exit should have been the least of her worries, as her attention had turned towards the glowing red eyes staring in their direction. Upon this, she had noticed Ylva and Garret then seeing both were alright. The intruding eyes in the dark however was about to show otherwise, as one of the revealing Beowolves had lunged forward, seizing Ylva by the leg. "No!" Snapping out of her fear temporarily, she had shaking lunged to her feet, grabbing her glaive that had slid away from her on landing into some water. Pacing herself forward, Kai was already one step ahead, taking on one of the beoweolf. She confronted the other one playing defense, after parting her glaives into Axe mode. "Hmph..." Using the wall to raise her higher, Sasselia had brought herself to the hallway wall, lightly bouncing off it with the force of her hands an dominant foot. twisting herself to swing at the beowolve's head, to try and quickly horizontally slice her axes at it. Her own attempt was to keep it close in range, but to grant a potential opening for another should it try and counter.
█ *NAME ▬ Gravity Entrapment █ *AURA COLOR ▬ Royal Blue █ *DESCRIPTION Sasselia's semblance is a gravity and anti-gravity element by way of glyphs. She is able to flip the gravitational pull within the area of her glyphs to either lift things and allow them to float, or make things heavier, by way of making the gravitational pull increase in weight. It is a perfect semblance for trapping Grimm and enemies, though in order to make the glyphs, she must make physical contact with either her hand or her weapon, which allows her to channel her semblance through her bullets or glaive. When her glyphs are laid onto the battlefield, it takes one post for the glyph to be set: the glyphs white on first appearance. The glyph is activated the moment it turns dark blue in colour. Starting at level 0, she can make up to four glyphs, that are 5 meters (15ft) in diameter. Each level, the number of glyphs she can make, and set are increased but the sizes remain the same. Her glyphs are not invincible, as they can be taken down by humans a level or more stronger than her, or by those who exceed the 600-pound limit. The pressure of weight for each level is shown: - Level 0 - 150lb - Level 1 - 300lb - Level 2 - 450lb - Level 3 - 600lb
█ *LEVEL 0 ▬ (0-99 posts) The glyphs are a diameter 15ft wide.(5 meters)
Sasselia is able to lay out four traps that last for four posts, unless broken early on. There is a two post cool down once all her glyphs have been fired out. She cannot shoot out all glyphs in one go, but able to fire up to half the number of glyphs at a time.
The glyphs can either: Gravity: Bring down 150 lbs worth of pressure onto objects or enemies. (Cannot hold anyone or objects over 150 lbs) Anti-gravity: Lift objects, grimm, or people up to 15 meters up in the air within the circumference. When the semblance count ends, the person in the trap slowly descends near the end of the count. She is able to keep the glyphs apart from each other by up to 20 meters.
█ *DRAWBACKS ▬ Nerve paralysis kickback on a art of her body. It is a rigid type of paralysis that makes her immovable for 2 posts when it kicks in. This takes effect after every semblance usage for two posts. ▬ When using glyphs, she must use her weapon as a beacon, or fire a bullet with her semblance channeled onto it to help her point and aim her glyphs for summoning. ▬ The glyphs cannot be moved when created until level 3. ▬ She cannot move objects exceedingly over 600 pounds. ▬ Her glyphs can be neutralized or destroyed by any enemy exceeding 600 pounds, or by enemies one level above herself. --- Sasselia has to choose the effect on whether there is going to be gravity or antigravity set in the glyph before firing. ------- To break her glyphs, those above her current level can easily use their aura to break the glyph. Those on Sasselia's level or lower, it takes 2 posts of focusing aura to break the effects effects. Those with enhanced, or above average strength in skill have a more high resistance.
The wolf of the deserts had glowered at the tall male, challenged him as her obsidian eyes seemed to never leave him as he yelled back at her; she hadn't known the man's age or the struggles he'd been through, but she was learning. And in their arguing before they would get back to the task at hand. Her obsidian eyes seemed to start to show a fraction of understanding by the end."So, he was a child...and he still tried,"That was all Ylva could process before they were put back on their task...for better or worse.
With the group now in the dark cave of heavy winds and bats, the wolf had volunteered to scout after the pile of rocks had put them all on edge while Garret had tried the door. Her ears altered from flicking around, laying flat and back again while her tail was still...until that damned door was open. That's when the sounds of cracking had a growl escaping her lips and her ears were flat in fear. Before she could turn around to check on the others though, she would feel the sensation of her stomach going up into her throat as she would fall. Biting her lip to keep herself under control, her aura would go back up as an extra layer of protection. Subconsciously, she would note the pipes and waters under the city before crashing and rolling.
As the air was knocked out her from impact, she would silently thank the spirits for nothing broken. She would relax too soon though as one thing after another seemed to be happening. Only a little time to breathe and start to get up, grabbing Ulv Lofte."Who...GRRAA,"the she-wolf was interrupted and roared loud as something had trapped her leg in its maw, causing her to react with a kick from her other leg while being dragged away."b***h,"Ylva shouted in anger and pain as she stabbed Ulv Lofte's blade at the maw and face that had her trapped."I will not be that easy,"The young wolf swore as her sienna aura would flash them both...
If it hit/If let go:
The blade of the spear would slash and change to scythe and swipe in an arch at the closest object. Standing up weakly, she would begin her silent steps, listening and smelling for her opponent for her next move.
If missed/not let go:
She would growl before stabbing at where she last remember seeing the maw to try and get it off of her leg until she could escape and try to maim it.
