Chase Black // General Labyrinthite
His attention turned to the frail form of the senshi Noctura as she posed her question.
A beat passed before he answered. "Resources from other locations will filter in once we've handled the senshi force. Operations here differ from how we handle things in Destiny City and replacements will come from like branches." That was the informative answer. "Once we've completed the mission, all of us will return to Destiny City."
That's where they would be needed.
To the white haired man with a military background, Chase said, "In most cases no. We have an extensive reach but we're here to solve problems not cause any so it is preferred to minimize any activity that would lead to their interventions."

Saleh Fakhoury | Captain ParacelsianSaleh hadn't quite expected his promotion to lead to something like this. He wasn't expecting to be suddenly plucked from home and flown out to a region that was apparently home to some very dangerous senshi. It seemed one pulled starseed could get someone far in the Negaverse, or at least further than he expected. He'd been lurking at the table, trying to keep his head down and listen to instructions the best he could. Given the grave importance of this mission and the sheer "aura" of power that the lead General carried, no slip-ups would be tolerated. When the question of questions came up, he hesitated. On the one hand, asking questions might be viewed as a weakness and reveal how new he was to the Captain thing. On the other hand, it might be viewed as thinking critically about the mission. Perhaps the benefits won out here, so he timidly raised his hand and asked his question in the most even tone he could muster. "If I may... You say that the senshi are to be taken alive. Are there particular containment procedures for senshi we manage to 'take alive?'" Nuxaz Saleh would like to know: Are there particular containment procedures for senshi taken alive?

Justine Lawrence | Corrupt Sailor PorrimaWell, this was exciting. Justine wasn't quite sure what she'd done to merit being taken on what was apparently a very important mission, but she wasn't about to look a gift horse in the mouth. Going to a new place, even on a mission, was an exciting notion for her, and she had half a mind to sightsee as much as she did to hunt down some order senshi. There was going to be lots of doodle and journal fodder here, for sure. Now, she was paying attention to what Chase said. Take the senshi alive (not a problem for her), submit detail reports after anything unusual, details on the tablets... simple enough, though she had a feeling that things were going to become not-so-simple once she left to investigate. Ah, well, she'd figure it out. She'd figured out a life with no memories, how hard could this be? Anyway, even though she was paying attention, she was also doodling in her notebook, which might have seemed very out of place. She'd picked a few random people around the room and started scribbling. Of course, Mr. General Man himself was first, drawn with the most anime pointy chin in the world, because he seemed like a Pointy Chin Guy, somehow. She'd also picked out the General with the short, fluffy hair. She had an appeal, somehow, and the style picked for her was more "shoujo," so to speak. She seemed to have a worried vibe, so a little "beauty treatment" might be nice. When the slender girl raised her hand (and then didn't wait to be called on), Justine's eyebrow raised. Some show of manners that was. In any case, that one got a simpler treatment, just a quick scribble that was almost stick-figure like. This was fun! Nuxaz Nothing urgent, but Chase is being doodled. AMItotic Suri is being drawn too... Sweenys_Revenge And a scribble for Gisela.

Gan's gaze swept around the room in the final minutes before meeting time--and his eyes briefly met those of a blue haired woman who seemed to be eyeing him. His only reply was a small, bemused grin and a nod of greeting. No chance to do anything else just then, as the General (apparently) began speaking, and so he got Gan's full attention. Nothing particularly surprising--they'd been told what they were here for, after all--but it was still useful to hear and see. He decided against asking any questions himself, for there was no reason to put himself in the spotlight just yet. Other people would fill in the most likely things to ask, and all he had to do was wait. And eye everyone who asked a question...and spare a glance back toward the one who'd noticed his perfect timeliness.

"Air travel is better than a ship," which was really their other option, but Cerissé understood what Emilia meant by it all - it was exhausting and then it was simply going to be a lot of work....and maybe a little free time to enjoy things, but overall it was going to be a lot of hitting the ground running. Especially according to what Chase had to say as he got started debriefing them all after a night in the hotel. Cerissé's internal clock wanted to be all over the place, and it would be just as difficult when they got back to Destiny City. Still, everything seemed rather straight forward. "I am hoping you'll want to accompany me on recon?" the question was aimed towards Caleb, though it was more of a statement than a question. She knew, after all.

Regan almost started when Trey touched her, but relaxed when she heard his voice, allowing him to direct her to seating. Her hand reached out to gently brush against the man's in affirmation that she understood.
Once they were seated, her attention solely focused on Chase's, especially as he gave the details and requirements of the mission. Her face didn't change much at the mention of her being a source for others, but inside, she froze.
It was nice to be called on for reliance.
After the meeting had been open to questions, Regan relaxed more and watched others, her hand coming over to take Trey's and squeeze. "Thank you." She said in a more hushed tone, referring to him helping her at the beginning.Whimsical Blue So sorry this took forever

Shannon Mccord//Lieutenant Strengite Shannon tried to keep a passive, uncaring face, as Chase flat out told them all that the others who were here before them were dead but she couldn't hide the slight blanching at the news. The knowledge that they all were facing the same fate wasn't something new... it still wasn't easy to hear it said so blatantly. Her vacation really took a much more ominous turn. Apparently Shannon's question sparked more voices speaking up, asking their own questions. First it was the two next to her, both with pretty decent questions, especially when it came to the cops and how they were going to deal with them. She didn't particularly want to deal with the police while on foreign soil, it probably wouldn't go very well. Then a blue haired fella mentioned taking senshi in which made Shannon wonder about their quotas. Once again she raised her hand and when acknowledged she asked, "should we continue to gather energy along with information when its feasible? I assume that leaving bodies behind would be inadvisable but a little draining wouldn't be adverse, correct?" Nuxaz Shannon asks - can we drain people? no killing but just NyQuil their a**?

Ashley Williams // Captain ReineriteAshley had returned the nod with a tiny one of her own, before turning her attention away from the pretty much 'just on timer' sat just a bit up from her as the doors to the conference room closed, turning her attention towards the man who had come to stand at the head of the table.
She had listened in silence as he drew attention to the screen, her grey eyes taking in the images as he went over the mission as part of her made a mental note to take the time to - as Reinerite - go over the mentioned information that had been beamed to her tablet.
She had glanced over at the two women next to him and then the third at the table at the 'one of mine' comment, noting that the pink-haired one looked vaguely familiar, although Ashley couldn't quite place from where.
Either way, as the General - because that was what the man at the head of the table in civilian form was - had pointed out , she was here to complete a mission, notable the one that he had rather succinctly outlined.
She asked no questions of her own when the chance arose to ask them, instead taking care to listen to the answers to those that others had ventured.
A glance at the other just a bit up from her suggested that she wasn't the only one not asking questions, she turned her attention - brief as it had been - away from him again, not wanting to miss anything about the mission.

Chase Black // General Labyrinthite
To Saleh he answered, "Once you have captured a senshi, you'll report to me and I'll handle their captive arrangements."
To Shannon he said, "Draining is acceptable, starseeding is not. Witzend is...unlike DC in that respect. If you are concerned about your quotas, they're being handled while you're on this mission.
Chase glanced at his watch while he waited for any further questions. After a moment he lifted his hand in a shooing wave.
"You're all dismissed."
((OOC: This concludes the initial meeting! If you have further questions, your character is welcome to come speak to Chase post-meeting. Anything answered by him in this thread is considered public knowledge among the agents! You are welcome to take exits for now or linger and connect!))

An attack by senshi outside of DC, and it was unusual? Trey had to wonder what made their home city so special, to have so much activity from those people there.
He studied the table, resisting the urge to drum his fingertips on it for lack of a pen to play with, and listened through the briefing. This would be the first time he'd participated in anything of this sort... and likely the first time he'd see violent encounters with the other side that 'he' had actively sought out. Even if it was 'he' because it was part of a mission he had been pulled into. It would be more than random encounters this time, and likely none of them would be willing to just talk.
Hours and hours of combat training, and he still wasn't sure he was up to that sort of thing.
A touch to his hand, a gentle squeeze, pulled him out of his thoughts and back to the meeting, where they were all being dismissed. Regan was looking at him with gratitude and he offered her a winning smile in return.
"You are very welcome." He said as he turned his hand to squeeze her fingers in return, rising to his feet. "I suppose we should be about our work then, hmm? Maybe we should pair up for one of these missions he has. You can show me how to do real field work."
Tempting to ask Suri about that too... but after the events at the museum, he felt... awkward about it. He wasn't sure how he felt about revisting a chance for one or the both of them to get hurt.

Shannon Mccord//Lieutenant Strengite Her question was answered, hers and several others, and just like that they were dismissed. Released, as it were, into the down of Witzend to gather information and figure out just what was going on. Shannon would prefer to go back to sleep but she didn't want to look like she was shirking her responsibility... yet. So with a mental sigh the pale haired woman smiled and leaned towards the male who had sat down next to her and introduced herself, "I'm Shannon and you are?" She stuck a hand out and continued, "I don't suppose you would want to look over all the information with me somewhere a bit more private. Maybe we can come up with a plan or something." She kept it professional but there was a little flirt there. He was cute but best not push it until she knew how best to get the reaction she wanted. Shanyume ((I figure a set up for exit, they can leave to discus the info they just got))

Ashley Williams // Captain ReineriteAshley listened as the General responded to the last of the questions and then dismissed them.
She mentally ran through the answers to questions that had been asked as she rose, notably the stress on the fact that they were here to solve problems - not cause as well as the fact that their quotas would be handled for the duration of the mission.
Maybe now would be a good time for some reading, with the information that had been sent to her tablet making its way to the top of the list and then, once done, she could plan for the next move.-- Ashley exit from briefing --

Shoulders shrugged unenthusiastically at Sheldon's question about what was good about the morning. She was excited to be on a mission, and eager to show the Negaverse her worth, but doing it in the presence of her highschool sweetheart & co. was... Less than ideal. Most of them already outranked her, which was bad enough. But anything more that Mackenzie had to say was shoved deep down inside when Chase stood at the head of the table and the doors closed at the other end of the room. She wished that she could power up and pull out her tablet so she could read the details while he spoke, but instead she clicked her ballpoint pen and set it to paper to scribble down notes. As the images shifted to new locations, she wrote them down, made any notes about things of interest that she may have picked up on before the picture flickered onto the next. At the mention of infighting, she glanced to the trio at her side. Everyone serving here is deceased.Mackenzie took a long sip of her coffee, unsure of how to process that statement. Were they on a suicide mission? She was sure she heard Iliel speak, and but she didn't quite process what she was saying as she was so focused on the fact that this small group of rogue Senshi were able to take down the Negaverse force to such a degree. Complete the mission. Get home. That was all that she heard. That was what she was focused on. She was practically chomping at the bit to get out of this tiny room and out into the city and power up. She was ready for a fight - not one that she was willing to lose. You're all dismissed.Had the Q and A finished already? She blinked back into existence, swiveling in her chair after being dismissed by their leader. Finally making eye contact with her group of comrades, she stood from her chair. Grabbing her coffee mug, she touched Topher's shoulder with her free hand. "I'm gonna... Regroup upstairs. Read through some mission information. Meet up soon?" Mackenzie didn't even wait for a response from any of them. She offered a quick smile, before shuffling out of the room. -- Mackenzie Exit~! -- **no need to tag me back, just wanted to get wordcount in with a formal exit! >>"

As the mission reports were filed, and Labyrinthite had gone over them, he was starting to get a better idea of what they were dealing with.
There was a team of senshi, but the number was unverified. At least four eternals, including the one they had captured, two supers, a basic level, and the one that had perished. He had seen more senshi gathered in a room back in Destiny City except...these seemed more organized than the plague upon the city. More tactical and more willing for actual bloodshed if the disappearance of the previous Witzend operatives and the way they engaged with the few who'd gone up against them were any indication.
Not only that but...
They had captured some of their own. As more and more of their agents went missing, it became more important to ensure that everyone he'd brought along was aware and prepared to deal with the potential risks.
So he called all of them into the conference room they first met in after arriving.
He stood at the front of the room waiting for people to gather.

Emilia was quick to respond to the summons. Her promptness was partially because she was getting pretty annoyed that her partners kept showing up to missions before she did, and this time she was determined to be present as quickly as possible, even though it meant cutting off in the middle of an Odyssey run that had actually been going pretty well.
It was a small sacrifice. It was actually nice to have something more concrete to do rather than playing video games in between missions and pretending that people weren't going missing during their investigations.
She kept her head held high as she walked into the room, even though knew deep in the back of her mind that this likely meant things were getting even more serious. It was still and important mission, and she was still entering a space where one of her bosses waited.
She took a seat silently and waited with her attention sharp and her hands folded together on the table in front of her.
