Well, she hadn't really seemed to think her request through before she asked to come to the Forest Kingdom with Astrid. They had been in the kingdom for a while now, and the very second they entered through those gates, Azura couldn't shake away that nervous feeling. While she wanted to come to help in whatever they needed, she didn't think of the fact that she never once stepped foot on these grounds. Azura was quite the explorer, but there were some places she didn't feel a hundred percent comfortable in! A new place, new people..though some familiar faces, like Unisha, Alisa and Ephraim, she wasn't so sure how the others of the kingdom would react to her. She was so used to not being the most loved person in the world, due to her unique. .habits, she just kind of felt like everyone was judging her very existence!
After Astrid left her to go do her own thing she probably needed to do, all that nervousness really hit her the moment she was alone, with Unisha and the others so busy and having their own little fun, she wasn't one to go bother them, so she decided the best way to calm her silly worried mind was to explore the forest kingdom a little..

"Boo. " Phoenix stepped out of the thick bushes Azura just happened to be passing by in her little escape from everyone! Though Phoenix wasn't quite so innocent herself, as she too was more interested in looking around then conversing with the people of the Forest Kingdom. Upon seeing Azura, she decided to give her a little scare to ease her own bit of boredom. What she didn't expect was how well it worked! Azura, in her own little world as she explored, didn't exactly have her guard up, why should she? This was probably the safest place in the world! That would cause for quite the scene from the oh-so-elegant mermaid princess, as she let out a slight scream, jumping back and ending up losing her footing, which caused her to fall back....into another similar bush Phoenix hid herself in. It was hardly graceful, but that only made it all that much more amusing to the fiery, evil princess who laughed like some kind of super villain.
"..!" But in the end, it would be Azura with the last laugh, if she ever really laughed! Phoenix would suddenly find herself meeting a LOT of water, and with enough force to knock her back...right back into the bush she popped out of seconds ago! I wouldn't hurt her, of course, It was just sea water and no real dangerous magic behind it. If only she knew a little ice magic, that would really get to Phoenix, but it also might be to much, she was always very sensitive to the cold!

It was some kind of coincidence, Ephraim happened to be passing by Azura right when Phoenix decided to jump out. Phoenix likely didn't even realize he was so nearby, but as expected, she didn't end up startling Ephraim as much as what she may have found amusing. He glanced at her, about to speak, but Azura's shrieking caught his attention quickly, and he acted on instinct--quickly stepping to her and catching her before she made her way to getting her nice dress dirty. And somehow this felt so familiar... "...Are you all right?" He asked, lifting her up to her feet rather effortlessly. He turned his attention to Phoenix, just in time to see Azura's little counterattack. "I think you may have deserved that, Phoenix." He said with mild amusement. "Be careful "attacking" each other around here, though. Many of the citizens seem on edge."

Azura didn't quite come to the realization of her little rescue until she sent the little torrent of water after Phoenix! It was as though her own instinct was to counterattack before she really put a lot of thought into it. It was just lucky she was able to realize who it was before doing so, or that little attack wouldn't of been so gentle! Though all that tension didn't last very long, when she finally came to realize her position. She was...in Ephraim's arms? The coloration that suddenly began to appear on her face was about as obvious as it could be, and she found herself unable to speak for a rather long moment! What was it about being in Ephraim's arms that flustered her so much? Not to mention the sense of familiarity. "...Y-yes..Thank..you.." She couldn't of sounded anymore nervous then that! Silly awkward Azura.
"....." Phoenix's legs were practically sticking out of the bush, making for an even more amusing scene, the irritated, angry noises coming from the bush as she struggled to get herself out of it in the awkward position she was now in, was just enough to break Azura out of her nervous state, at least enough to get a small giggle out of her. The bush was soaked, which was a great thing when if they looked well enough, they might see the hint of a few flames flickering and trying so very hard to spread, but the water dripping from the various leaf's would quickly douse them out. She was trying to burn the bush to get free, but it wasn't working in her favor! "One of you better help me out of here, or else!! " She yelled, right now, Phoenix looked anything but tough! "Ugh! It's pointy!!" The more complains and begging for help she did, the more amused Azura became!

"...Are you all right?" Ephraim asked Azura, his eyes growing concerned as the oblivious king leaned a little closer to her. "Your face is getting red. Do you have a fever? You shouldn't push yourself." Not to mention her voice was getting shaky, or so it seemed. "I'm in no position to lecture anyone about taking it easy, of course... but if you don't rest when you need to, your body will be punished for it sooner or later. You should lie down and let me take care of-" Then came Phoenix's interjection, calling his attention back to her, in her now precarious position. He gave Azura another glance, before turning fully now to Phoenix. "Hmm... or else what?" Ephraim asked, leaning over the bush she seemed stuck in. "You don't seem to be in any position to be making demands. Perhaps a please wouldn't hurt." It was clear how casual Ephraim had become with Phoenix--he really wasn't this casual with anyone else aside from Eirika and Alisa. Though whether or not she asked more kindly or more angrily, Ephraim would finally obey, reaching in and parting the area above her to grab her and lift her out of it this time. She as always weighed practically nothing compared to his strength, so it was again an effortless task. "You did bring that upon yourself... but are you all right?" After she confirmed she was, he'd finally place her down on her feet, before beginning to pick and brush the leaves and foliage lightly attached to her hair and clothing. "I think Azura taught you a lesson this time. This is one fight you definitely didn't win." He said to get a bit of a rise out of her as he helped her with what was stuck to her.

Oh, gosh. This was getting out of hand, she might not ever stop blushing at this point. Azura wasn't a difficult person to bring color to her cheeks, though it really was due to her shyness towards people. Just the downside of not letting people get to close to her. "I'm fine..! Really..." She managed to say, taking a moment to let herself calm down, as best she could. His getting closer didn't help matters! "It's really okay..trust me..I get plenty of rest.." More so out at sea then on land, but still, that was her biggest source of rest her body needed!
"Ugh! Just do it, or ....i'll...humiliate you in the next duel, in front of everyone in the forest kingdom! " Oh yeah, that was so scary, threaten the one who loved to duel with a ...duel. Maybe not NOW, but she definitely meant later! This was so humiliating, she could just die! And this push would be her death sentence! Luckily, she wouldn't have to die in such a dramatic, horrible way, as Ephraim had eventually given in, his natural instinct to help people would always override his teasing side, it seemed. "..Only my pride is hurt.." She muttered quietly, and as he sat her back to her feet, she turned away, crossing her arms. She just could NOT look at him right now! "Hmph! " Her response to his last words was almost to childish, but coming from Phoenix, somehow it was also pretty darn amusing to see! "Oh, what is this? " A slightly familiar voice to Phoenix's ears would speak, though Ephraim and Azura would not be familiar with it, as a dark brown haired woman of pointy ears and crimson eyes approached them. "Little Phoenix? Oh, look how big you've gotten. Still causing problems, I see. " The woman asked in a playful tone, before her attention would drift on to the young man with them, who was currently picking out leaves from Phoenix's hair! "And who might this be? " She seemed rather fixated on Ephraim. "A human with such incredible strength I feel, and quite handsome too! " She playfully winked at him. "Oh pleaaaaaaase! Are you really going to start flirting with him? Shouldn't you go flirt with your Queen instead? " Phoenix smirked at her, uncrossing her arms as she looked knowingly at her. "I haven't been here for a long time, and even small as I was then, I could tell! ".. "...W-what! That's...please don't say such things out loud! I would never disrespect my Queen like that! " "Liking someone is disrespecting them?" That was a new one to her ears! "Would you like to take another nap in that bush, little Phoenix?" "Okay, okay! Touchy.." She also knew when to shut up, at least when it came to HER! Turning back to Ephraim and Azura now, she rolled her eyes a bit in annoyance, directed more towards miss Lingsha over there. "This is Lingsha, the Forest Kingdoms most annoying resident! Don't try to lie to her, she'll see right through you...she can see into your thoughts, and memories you thought you've locked away! " Of course, she didn't pry into peoples memories as Phoenix may of made it sound, she just had a slight grudge against her. In her younger years, any time she and her sister visited the Forest Kingdom, she was almost sent daily to talk to Lingsha, as if that ever helped her destructive and curious nature!
"So THIS is where you went off to! And being surrounded by wolves, are you in need of rescuing? " Alisa turned to Azura and Phoenix, even giving a small glance to Lingsha there, she wasn't REALLY jealous, more so playing into how she was assuming things in a playful manor, if more so to fluster them and keep them away!

Ephraim raised an eyebrow for a moment, but it wasn't lost on him how much of a hypocrite he was for suggesting someone else rest more. "You know yourself better than I do." He finally said, relenting. It really wasn't his business or his place to be saying these sorts of things anyway. "Oh, you'll humiliate me, will you? Terrifying. I seem to recall I recently became romantically involved with a woman whose life goal recently has been to humiliate me as much as possible." That should probably go some way to showing he didn't really care! Certainly wasn't something that intimidated him. "Though I'll hold you to having a duel, I'm certain we could both use the practice." One could never be too prepared when it came to battle. Either way, he'd inevitably help her, before brushing off the stray leaves and foliage clinging to her. As the unfamiliar woman came over, he didn't verbally respond at first to allow her and Phoenix to... catch up? Though her little attempt at flirting may have been hard to resist for most, given she was undoubtedly one of the most attractive women in Serenity--and that was saying a lot! Still, Ephraim didn't show too much reaction. "It's kind of you to say so. Though I want it to be clear, I'm in a committed relationship, and I'd prefer your advances be directed elsewhere." So stiff and formal, but one couldn't fault his commitment. It was clear this woman he was with meant a lot to him, to not even flinch in the face of such an attractive woman flirting! "Well, it's nice to meet you, Lingsha. I am Ephraim, a king from another world. ...And what a bizarre way to introduce myself." It sounded so insane just stated without context, yet it was entirely true. "Alisa is- urgh!" Suddenly like a flash of lightning, he was knocked down to his back, left in a daze for a moment until he felt a boot planted harshly onto his stomach, eliciting a grunt.
"Don't put your hands on my fish again," Astrid said coldly down to him, before grabbing Azura and pulling her roughly over to her, emphasizing her point by pulling her into a rather passionate, and as usual, very dominant kiss as she stood over him, the princess's shoe planted on the king dominantly. Something he surely had to be used to by now. Lingsha would be familiar enough with Astrid to know just how possessive and competitive she was with EVERYTHING when she was younger--it was no surprise she'd be even more so with a significant other.
"...Ugh... you must be Astrid..." Ephraim said in a slightly strained voice, his head turning towards Alisa as she made her entrance, and his features involuntarily softened at seeing her--even despite what was happening currently. "Ah, it's good to see you... I guess this sort of thing must run in the family." Just how many times had Alisa stepped on him by now? Even when they first met, after dealing with the monsters around them, she forced him to become her chair for a bit. It was honestly fitting that this was the way he met Astrid.

"Oh, please. You should know better then that. I could out do her ability to humiliate you far better then she ever could." She seemed rather proud of that too! Phoenix wasn't always the most pleasant friend to have, probably why she didn't take part in looking to make many herself! This little birdie was always a bit of a loner, and enjoyed it that way! "Good, i'll beat you in a duel, and Alisa in best humiliator! " ....She was saying all this, all the while he was picking off leaves from her hair. That really was a tough look, wasn't it! "..You can stop now! " His kind gesture of removing the foliage from her was only making her more embarrassed, how funny considering she was the one talking about humiliating him! He was like a big brother, helping out in the little things! It was quite humorous, as well as cute! "Hmm? " Lingsha blinked,an amused grin making it's way to her features. "You can relax,a little playful flirting doesn't mean I want to steal you away from the princess. How very adorable your defenses are. You're loyalty to her puts an ease to my mind. " Alisa certainly never had to worry about his love for her changing! "Mmhm, word spreads quickly here. " Lingsha smiled. "That is part of the reason I am here.I wanted to see who this mystery King of another world was.." And before she could get another word in, a familiar face made for quite the amusing entrance, and it wasn't in the least bit of surprising when she came down with her boot over the now downed king! THIS was new news to her, though. She already heard from all the excited citizens of Alisa's new found love, but she was unaware of apparently..Astrids too! "My, I don't believe the kingdom has been so full of love in such a long time! " Rather there was love between them, there was obviously something going on! Azura's reaction to the sudden 'capture', was not very different then the previous kisses she had surprised her with! Her face was rather instantly reddened, by a lot, and she just as quickly was melting into that incredibly passionate kiss. "Heh, sorry, Azura...but..." She hated to be a killer of SUCH a loving moment, but..Astrid would find herself pryed away from her the second their little kiss parted, and tackle-hugged to the ground. One had to wonder, was it a real happy tackling hug, or just her way to get her off Ephraim? Oh, the mystery! "Hellloo, dear sister..So glad you're back safely! " "................" Azura just blinked, gosh, what a day this had turned out to be! Slipping herself away from both Astrid and Alisa as they.....caught up, she would return to Ephraim's side, and hold out a hand to help him to his feet. Rather she could actually hold his weight was a question, but she would try!! It could go perfect, but it could also go badly, with her being so weak that she only ended up being pulled right down into him, and end up landing on top of him. Oh, the scene such a thing could become!

Minerva

User Image

After some particularly pathetic and desperate mental pleading courtesy of Ariel, Minerva made her way to the entrance of the Forest Kingdom, sighing softly to herself. "I know them. Unfortunately." She said before crossing her arms under her chest, her tone sounding as perpetually disappointed as her expression looked.
"Who-?"
"I came with the party Princess Alisa escorted in." Minerva said, trying to speed up the conversation.
"Er... but I can't just allow them in on your word alone. Without the princess's-"
"You intend to deny the request of an emissary of the Central Kingdom? I am the crown princess, I'll have you know."
"...Princess... Unisha?"
"Correct. Have you not put that together from the jewel in the center of my forehead?" Exactly where a unicorn horn would be.
"You... look different than I thought you would."
"And what is that supposed to mean? So, you not only flagrantly deny my request, but now you insult me?"
"N-no! I wasn't trying to-!"
"I suppose you're happy to cause an international incident. You think to martyr yourself upon the blade of vanity, giving your life some meaning in fruitlessly defying a crown princess. My father will be hearing about this, and I will ensure your queen knows exactly who thought it wise to insult me."
"Th-The Dragon King? And... Queen Althesa?!" The boarder guard looked utterly horrified, stepping back quickly. "I-I'm sorry, Princess! Your friends can pass! I... I won't ever question you again!"
"...That is more like it." She said, uncrossing her arms. "But you're on thin ice." The boarder guard bowed with a mix of terror and attempted reverence. Minerva turned her perpetually disappointed gaze to the small group, motioning for them to come. "Come along, retainers. Quickly. Do not make me tell you again." She said with a superior tone, turning and walking ahead of them. It was rather ironic how much she completely dominated the entire scene the moment she entered it, given she was the shortest person there by quite a margin.

"Yes, Your Highness!" Reiner said enthusiastically as he walked along behind her, which was particularly ironic given he was a prince of this kingdom, but clearly this was a role he had no problem playing.

"Heeeeeeeeeeey!!! " She was SO lady-like. Ariel's frantic wave of her arms as she noticed Minerva coming towards them was anything but elegant, as if elegance ever existed with Ariel. The girl was energy itself, and it was no doubt that came from her great and wonderful hero of a father, Zack Fair! He had really brought a curse into the world with Aerith, didn't he! It didn't even register to her, how irritated she actually looked, until Aria gave her a shove as in to silence her, of course, Ariel didn't take to that to kindly and..shoved her right back! A deathly stare was set onto Ariel, and had Aiko not shoved them both rather suddenly, there may of been a short lived cat-fight going down right there at the entrance of the Forest Kingdom! Oh, how fun.
"So stupid.." Aiko said while brushing her hands off, and crossing her arms as if she looked SO cool.
Lucky for them, the two guards at the gate were in quite the conversation with Minerva, to really notice their fighting. As Aria was trying to keep herself from chasing Ariel into the Forest, Aiko was really the only calm one there, besides Reiner! It also seemed by the look of her face, she was becoming amused by the lies she was throwing out just to get them in.
At first, she wasn't completely into the idea of coming here, especially after finding out it was exactly Minerva here, that made Reiner stalk her all over the place! Yet, this little show allowed her to forget that, seeing Minerva of all people tell a lie and trick others with such a big risk involved, it just made her all that much more cooler! "Heh heh..! Yeah, how dare you treat Princess Unisha's retainers like such outsider trash! You should be thrown in the dungeon for an hour! " She said to them, pushing past Aria and Ariel to follow along the one she didn't want to follow at all not long ago! Aria eventually began to follow next,
while Ariel sneaked on over, clinging to her arm. "But i'm your favorite retainer, right?!" It was almost amazing she was able to play along and not just blow it all by accidently calling her name!

"Do I?" Ephraim challenged her little belief, sounding rather skeptical she could actually live up to her word. "Alisa has mastered the art, you know. You'd have to really go far to hope to compete with her... and that's assuming you could even defeat me in the first place." She was really getting her words challenged now--the question was if she'd actually meet the challenge or not. "Well, if you're so certain of yourself... why wait? Carmen mentioned duels happen here often, as they're a kingdom of warriors. We could have one as well, right now, and you could prove your supposed humiliation skills. Or are you too afraid?" She was really going to have to step up or shut up now, it seemed! "...Oh, you don't like this?" He lightly teased as she brushed the last bit out of her hair, before messing with it a little. Really showed how comfortable he was with her to tease her like that!
"If you two lovebirds--heheh--want to duel so bad, I can be the referee." Carmen offered, as she happened to be passing nearby and heard a little of their exchange. "For a sanctioned duel here, you need a third party referee to make sure the fights don't go too far. Not that I expect it would with you two, but it's just protocol. If you just start brawling without a referee, you're gonna attract the wrong kind of attention." They may be a warrior people, but they still followed rules and regulations to make sure there were no severe injuries or worse. They all needed to stay capable after all.

" Alisa may have a good record, but it doesn't surpass mine. Ask any of the people of this kingdom, and you will see very quickly. " She smirked. Normally, people tended to be depressed or at least upset if so many people didn't like them, yet Phoenix took it as the greatest accomplishment of her life, the more people that were annoyed by her, or feared her, was a improvement of her extreme desire to be soooooo cool! Unlike Carmen's own reputation here, they both had their differences in why the people seemed to hate them so much! "So as much as you think she would win the game of who can best bring the greatest humiliation to the other, it isn't her! " She crossed her arms, that smirk turning into a slight grin. "You must really want me to put you down to your knees in shame as you try to hide that cute face from the greatest humiliations of your life! "
She sounded so full of herself, especially with those little bits left of leaves still stuck to her, even eventually after they were finally gone, there was no recovering from that! "You must be enjoying this! " She reached forward, as one leaf was still held in her hand before raising that hand and placing the one she picked out of her hair, right into his own hair, tucking it above his ear! "King of the Forest Kingdom, Ephraim.." She said with amusement. That one little leaf was SO powerful! He gained a new kingdom just from it! Her attention would eventually find its way to Carmen, who she was surprised to see out and about, and not hooked by the arm by Unisha! "Surprising to see you so alone..You managed to escape, huh? " She probably should enjoy the short lived freedom! "..Err..wait! Did you just call us lovebirds? ...I'm planning to humiliate him in a duel, is that really so lovebird-ish? " It was quite funny how calm she was about that. Most would probably freak out over such a statement! "Oh, come on. It's fun getting their attention too..It can be an even bigger fight! " She grinned, as if that was a great thing. Getting thrown in the dungeon, or kicked out of the kingdom was probably not what she really wanted!

Rather she sensed her coming or not, Carmen would feel a pair of arms around her shoulders, in a cutesy little friendly hug from the sweetest princess of all time, the smiling, overly affectionate Athena! "He,he, this sounds like fun. I want to watch with you! " She let her go eventually, stepping to stand beside her. "Who do you think will win, Carmen? " She turned back to Phoenix and Ephraim, smiling still. "I think.......Ephraim! "
"Hey!!" Athena giggled softly. "Well...Ephraim is really strong, and doesn't become distracted, oh! And he also doesn't treat a battle like a game..I think...that's why he will win! "

"S-O-R-R-Y! But. how about....No? " Alisa stepped behind Ephraim, her hands suddenly at his back as she shoved him forward, away from Phoenix and Carmen's direction! "WE have time to spend together, you two can fight each other.........or something. Or learn to relax, and enjoy time with your own significant other! " Whoops, Well, she didn't think of the tiny detail that Phoenix didn't have anyone, nor did her sweet little sister there. Her mind certainly wasn't on anyone but herself and Ephraim, that much was clear! "Let's go! " Without giving him any real chance to deny her pushy request, she grabbed his hand, and pulled him right behind her at a hasted pace. "....." Athena blinked a few times. Well, that escalated quickly! "....Okay then...Let's all three do something together? " "...That Alisa..she's so greedy! " Of course she was, Ephraim was kind of her lover and all! "..Sorry, uh, I'll just go else where.." Phoenix said, there was noooo way she was getting stuck with Athena and ending up with a mass of flowers in her hair or something. "Hey!! " And Phoenix hurried away! "Oh, they are such meanies! " Poor Carmen, she might end up stuck with Athena for a while if she didn't come up with some excuse to escape her! Unisha was having a bit of a reuinion with the citizens of the kingdom, it wasn't likely Carmen would want to be stuck with boring chatter of a bunch of ladies! "..Just us , then? " Athena looked at Carmen, who could deny such a face!

"I know I must place my duty as a commander above my life as a man. And once I am crowned, I most certainly will do exactly that.
However, I am not ready to divorce myself from my compassion just yet. I will find the balance somehow, the means to save my country and her people.
That is the king I wish to become, and so that is the man I must be."

"I just know you couldn't compare to Alisa no matter-" Before he could continue much more into that conversation, Ephraim would feel himself shoved, ironically by the person he was in the middle of complimenting. If you could call that a compliment. "Ah, Alisa, here to defend your title?" He lightly joked, though he barely managed to say much before Hurricane Alisa finished sweeping through the scene and forcing everyone to obey her. That seemed to happen often... and he certainly seemed to like seeing it happen. As she pulled him along whether he agreed or not--and clearly he didn't mind--he'd speak. "Have I ever mentioned I rather enjoy your pushiness?" She had really always been like that, at least as long as he had known her. And he couldn't help but find it rather appealing! "Nobody else can push me around, but when you do it, I can do little else but just try to enjoy it. ...And I don't have to try very hard." How could he not? Honestly, being with her, he was rather happy no matter what they were doing. As much as he understood their romance shouldn't happen, with their being from different worlds... he could hardly imagine it any other way. And he certainly wouldn't want to.
"...Oh will you now?" Phoenix would find herself feeling a little wobbly, and keeping herself steady would reveal that she had suddenly been put into... a giant bird cage. How amusing. "I don't know, it seems as though Athena wants to spend time with you. Don't you want to hang out with us? Or... would you rather stay here?" It didn't seem like Phoenix would get much of a choice in the matter! "And what would you like to do, little Athena?" Ironic she was called little, as in... some respects... she was certainly bigger than the other two here. But at the very least, she was younger as well. ...Which perhaps made it more embarrassing for Carmen. Not that she was focusing on that!
