Queenie Powers: 7 rings
Sure, she hadn't managed to get the most rings out of her small group of friends but she definitely wasn't the loser out of the crew. One of the girls had only managed three, out of all of her tosses - ha. Three!
Perusing the options, it didn't take long for her to settle on two that she wanted for herself. The large snowman (she could pretend that someone big and handsome had won it for her instead of her herself winning it) and a jingle bell bracelet to wear, as the other girls had each gotten one for themselves.
Girls had to match, after all.
With a smug grin, she clutched tightly to her prizes and made her way after the posse of pals, moving on to their next adventure for the afternoon.

Heather Beauchamp Toss 1: 2
"Feathers!" The boy in Heather's grasp stopped suddenly, calling his version of her name in the process. Heather looked down, stopping just as he had, and followed the pudgy line of his pointing finger towards the game stall and the girl shaking tinsel wreaths at them. It was a scam, Heather knew. They all were. But that didn't stop the small glimmer of hope from climbing in her brain that maybe this time she could best the scam.
"Which one do you want, Max," she asked as she allowed herself to be pulled and yanked over.
"Noman," Max said simply, pointing at the massive, stuffed snowman on the back wall. Oh, of course. Of course Max wanted to giant stuffed toy that took a truly herculean effort to win. Why couldn't he want the jingle bells or the little hat?
"Hey bid, aren't these antlers so cool?" Heather grinned almost too brightly and popped one of the minor prizes on her head to make a point. "And check this out!" She shook her head vigorously to make the bells jingle and jangle. Max only whined and kept pointing at the snowman, never once taking his eyes off of it.
Heather finally sighed and put the antlers back, realizing that she was bested. The woman holding the tinsel wreaths grinned at Heather, holding out the tinsel with one hand. Heather handed over her money and tossed the rings one by one, only to make two.
"Are you sure you don't want to antlers?"
Max shook his head and wiped his nose on his sleeve. Heather handed over another dollar and received another five wreaths.

Heather Beauchamp Toss 1: 2 Toss 2: 0
Bolstered by her previous success, Heather confidently took the wreaths in her hand and threw them, one by one. And missed every target. One by one.
Zero.
Heather heaved a huge sigh as Max kept his finger trained on the oversized snowman. The girl behind the counter smiled meekly at her and held out one hand full of five more wreaths and another ready to receive more cash.
"Max, are you sure you don't want these... um..." she looked around the stall for something -- anything that wouldn't cost her more money. "These super cool jingle bells!" She snatched the wristband off the counter and began to happily jingle them in the toddler's face to distract him. Max, however, was as stubborn as he was pitiful and turned large, wet eyes on his sister. His lip began to quiver and Heather's resolve faded almost instantly.
She heaved another huge sigh and passed more money over to the girl behind the stall in exchange for more wreaths.

1/5 Rings: 4
Marnie had sent Beatrice off to get some of that butterbeer rum thing she saw, the non-alcoholic of course, duh. Which meant she had some time to kill and after the whole tea incident and her general inability to look at Bea for anything longer than a few seconds without becoming stupid and heart-eyed, she thought she'd try to distract herself with the tinsel toss.
Her mom had left some money for her when she'd heard about the carnival thingy and she was putting it to good use.
Part of it had been saved specifically for carnival games and like stuff to take home.
So, she thought it'd be easy to kill time and toss some rings and hope she was successful.
There was a giant stuffed snowman she had her eye on.

Round one had gone pretty great, she'd only missed once and she just needed five to be able to get her hands on that fat, stuffed snowman that she could give to her bestie and they could--
Her first throw in round two missed. Her second throw missed. On and on until she was out of rings and no other prizes to collect at her side while she tried to get enough for the grand prize.
Wrinkling her nose, Marnie refused to let herself be deterred and she slapped down more money for five more rings.
She was getting that god darn snowman!!!

One of the pairs of reindeer antlers were put on top of her head, nestled in carefully as to not disrupt her space buns while Marnie put on her game face, blue eyes narrowing in concentration.
Her first few tries weren't successful, but on the third...she did it!
One hand pumped the air and she let out a happy cry.
Her antlers slipped and she frowned. She liked them. They were festive! They'd make for good selfies!
The answer was clearly that she had to get her bestie one and win a few more tosses to also be able to claim that sweet, sweet plush.

This whole ring toss nonsense was exhausting. Marnie was throwing them left and right, sometimes with one eye closed for focus and her tongue sticking out as she pretended like she knew what she was doing when she aimed and tossed.
Why had round one been so great?? Why had every round after paled in comparison?
She was running out of money. She needed two more tosses to collect all the prizes she wanted. She couldn't quit!
But she wanted to. So badly.
Well, at least she managed one out of five this time.

This was it. This was how she died.
Marnie's arm was sore, tired from all her of her tossing but she had enough bills for one more try. Still, she had to lean against a post to keep her upright, her eyes drooping.
In fact it was only the desire to get her bestest, best, amazing, beautiful, and just wonderful friend that darn snowman that kept her going.
Heck, she was barely paying attention as she tossed tinsel rings towards snowmen tophats. In fact, if the booth runner hadn't told her she'd done it, Marnie wouldn't have even noticed that her final toss netted her a prize.
"Yes!" She squealed, eagerly trading in misc prizes for that sweet, sweet snow man.
The antlers were nestled on it's head and she set off to find Bea to win her over with this grand prize.

1st Turn: 10, 12, 4, 9, 15
SUCCESS RATE: 2 Rings
Dani walked up to the counter of the Tinsel Ring Toss with mixed emotions. It looked like fun. Really it did. People were having a lot of fun and they were doing well too; it seemed like all of them were going away with the big prize – large Snowman plus; so, she better get hers while there still were some left. One the other hand, her hand-eye coordination wasn’t that great, and she wasn’t that good at these thing – so she might embarrass herself trying. Hmm, who cares, it was just a game. She stepped right up and got one on her very first try on her first turn. Her fifth one went on as well. That was enough for the Miniature Top Hat and she still 20 tries for 3 more Successes! BOO YAH GRAMMA!

2nd Turn: 9, 9, 12, 3, 4
SUCCESS RATE: 2 Rings
Dani went for her second turn. Her first throw started to land on one of the middle snowman, then tittered off to the side; a miss. Her second throw again started to land on the same snowman, then tittered off to the other side, another miss. Her throw was even further off, and her fourth landed in exactly the middle of the leftmost snowmen. Her final throw just barely tittered of the second to the left of the snowmen. Dang, it, all misses this time. Oh well, she still had 15 throws to make just 3 loops. That should be enough, even if she had one more turn like this dismal one.

3rd Turn: 8, 16, 14, 6, 9
SUCCESS RATE: 2 Rings
Dani’s third turn was just as successful or failing or however you want to look at the glass, as her second. Her first throw was in the exact center of two middle snowmen. Her second flipped off the middle one. Her third did the same, but in the opposite direction (if only she hadn’t tried so hard (too hard) to make the same snowman, after her initial failure). Her fourth tilted of the second to the left and her fifth spectacularly and narrowly missed one of the middle snowman. Again, all misses. Dani was feeling quite dismal by now, quite so.

4th Turn: 10, 12, 5, 3, 5
SUCCESS RATE: 5 Rings
Dani’s fourth turn was met with great success. Her second and fourth tries again missed dismally. However, she hit the nose on the head or the tinsel ring around the snowman, so to speak, on the first try and again on the third and fifth tries. Not only that but she hit the same snowman twice. Hurray! She met with the max amount needed to win the big prize, yay. However, she wasn’t done yet, she was going to finish out her turn and do well too, after all, she still had five more throws! She went back to the back of the line to wait her last turn.

5th Turn: 9, 18, 3, 20, 10
SUCCESS RATE: 7 Rings
Dani’s fifth and final turn was met with moderate success. She barely missed on the first try; made somewhere in the exact center of the mat in the second and on her third, in between two snowmen. On her two final tries, she caught the snowmen in the loop both times, making 7 successes. She only needed 5 and so took home the coveted snowman plush.

Heather Beauchamp Toss 1: 2 Toss 2: 0 Toss 3: 2
With more intent, Heather tossed five more rings. And with a breath of relief, she got two more on the top hats of the snowmen. Max let out a cry of joy as well, very much aware that his sister need only make one more target to be able to win what he wanted.
"Go Feathers, go, go, go!"
He'd even begun dancing to his won cheerleading, punching his little fists into the air as he marched in a circle around Heather. Heather tried to ignore the people that stopped to watch the spectacle, embarrassed at his antics more than endeared because of the attention it drew to her. Still, she didn't bother to stop him for fear of crushing his precious spirit and only smiled meekly at the people who stopped to glance.
"Only one more, Feathers, please!"
And who was Heather to deny her brother the snowman at this point? She was so close, and besides that, it was now a matter of pride. She'd come so close and what was one more dollar anyway? This time there was no hesitation in handing over her money and snatching the wreaths from the girl behind the counter.
