Lieutenant Fettelite chooses to head out to the Balcony to look for a way down.
The moment the stairway crumbled, Fettel pulled the kitten closer to him, squeezing his eyes shut for the briefest of moments. It was terrifying, having this happen, but atleast he wasn't alone. He had Obi here with him, and gave her a little pet on the head as they headed towards the Balcony.
"You're... You're right! That's most important, right? We need to make sure that everyone can escape if we need to! I... I just really hope there isn't anything bad waiting for us... You don't think there really is, do you? I mean, the Negaverse... Rift... Place is supposed to be helpful for us, right? Right..."

Lt. Kainite chooses to open the Right Door and search inside. Well, so much for the stairs. "Good thing we got up here before that caved in, huh?" Kainite remarked rather lightly considering where they were and the fact that they'd just gotten separated from about half the group. Details; they were a floor down and outside, not a million miles away. At least all the dust was going down to the first floor, which meant less mess for them and that Kainite's cup of soda hadn't been ruined. Still totally drinkable. Case in point, he took a sip before gesturing to the less traveled of the two doors. "Let's try that one!" he called to the captain he'd been bothering accompanying up until now, and didn't wait before going off ahead. Because a lieutenant rushing alone into a room in the Rift couldn't possibly go wrong.

Cpt. Huntite chooses to head out to the Balcony to look for a way down. [5 + 5 + 3] Huntite had kept his guard up and was ready to summon his personal youma to assist if need be as they traveled up the stairs, however his vigilance did nothing to stop the stairs from collapsing behind them as they group finished the climb. He gave a swear under his breath as he eyed the rubble, clearly seeing it would be a bad idea to even attempt to head down them now. With the three options in hand for direction as well as purpose he made a quick decision. Moving after a Lieutenant and a Guardian, Huntite made his way to the balcony to see if there wasn't some way they could use it.
While getting ambushed by the youma was not something he wished on the group, if they didn't find a way out then they would be trapped with no chance of backup if it turned out there was more then just the pair or if the pair was stronger then expected. If nothing else though, he could potentially use his personal youma to at least catch anyone from the other groups attention if they were outside.

Corrupt Sailor Rigel chooses to check the stable for tools.. {13 pts} Well. Things weren't exactly progressing as he'd thought. The sudden crash and bangs behind them that sealed them from the main section of the tavern was worrisome, though it was a relief to find they wouldn't be needing to make their own new exit--good chunk of the back of the building was gone.
Rigel had peered at the remains of the kitchen as they'd gone through, but the time to really look around the building, learn anything about the people here was... nonexistent. And now they needed to find another way back into the tavern. Reasonable, and again groups were split.
"Let's try the stables? For the ladder, sure, but people could have dropped things there as they fled. More nooks and crannies that the gear could be in. Maybe." Or not, and there'd be nothing there because people grabbed everything as they escaped--or tried to--and the remaining lot who populated the area as youma picked an entirely different place for the dang gears. There might not even be a ladder anymore, or a working one at least that wouldn't crumble under any weight.

Captain Annabergite chooses to open the Right Door and search inside (13 pts )
Although he didn't turn around, Annabergite's shoulders stiffened, his fingers closing more tightly around the daggers he still clutched in his hands. He wasn't going to think about his weight, which had been a steadily growing issue over the last several months, or the idea that he was now being judged by this cheerful, bright eyed man who was grinning at him as though he hadn't a care in the world.
Must be nice.
"Yes, well, I didn't ask you, if I recall," Annabergite snapped, just as the staircase behind them gave a groan of warning before there was a deafening crash. He whipped around just in time to see bits of splintered wood and broken floorboards dangling down from the landing, dust rising in small, pale clouds to where they stood.
This had just gone from bad to worse. Annabergite ground his teeth together, stalking after Kainite without actually realizing what he was doing, trying very hard not to drive one of his knives into the nearest thing he saw just to do something to alleviate the tension in his head.

[Prompt 4a - Answers] Choice 1 The room on the left is in a terrible state of disrepair. Most of the furniture that was here has been reduced to naught but splinters and rags and it has absolutely no windows to let in any light. Oddly, the entire room is lined with mirrors from floor to ceiling on all sides, making everyone wonder what it was actually used for. Just as it becomes apparent that there is nothing in this room that will help them, the door behind the group slams shut! They are thrown into total darkness for a few moments before a youma shimmers to life before them, casting the room in a soft glow from her skin. She is quite entrancing, from the smile on her pretty face down to the shimmering orange and yellow bedlah she wears. But the door has been sealed shut, and they are trapped. +3 points(This group will respond to prompt 5a)
Choice 2 The room on the right has suffered very little damage in comparison to the rest of the tavern itself. There are large windows along the outside wall that flood the room in the dim light of the rift and a long table sits at the center with a few chairs in various states of disrepair, though they are still recognizable as such. In the corner next to the door is a curious, old music box of foreign design and at the far end of the room is a small, square door near the floor. A dumbwaiter, perhaps? Just as the group members begin to investigate, the door behind them slams shut and the dumbwaiter opens. Eight long, pale limbs appear, one-by-one, attached to what might have once been a beautiful woman. Her hair is long and amber-gold and though most of her face is covered by it, two startling blue eyes peek out from within. The group has found the best way out of the building - but the spider woman is guarding their exit. +5 points(This group will respond to prompt 5b)
Choice 3 Unknown to the group stepping out onto the balcony, much of its support has been blown away by something that took out a big chunk of the kitchen wall below it. As soon as the team steps out, it gives way with a large crack and dumps them without warning onto the ground below. Although they aren’t severely hurt and manage to reunite with the group outside (accidentally), they do take some minor fall damage. +4 points(This group will respond to prompt 5c) ~ [Prompt 4b - Answers] Choice 1 The old storehouse has been sealed shut, likely from the crystal that grows in this place like weeds, and the group members can’t find a way to get inside of the building itself. What they do manage to find is the entrance to an old dumbwaiter in the wall of the main tavern building, used to ferry supplies up to the second floor without using the staircase in the main parlor itself. It’s large enough to fit a person if they curl up, but it seems to be stuck. +5 points(This group will respond to prompt 5c)
Choice 2 The group enters the stables without much of a problem but instead of looking for a ladder that may or may not exist, they see something that is absolutely impossible - a tiny, adorable pony not much taller than waist-height. It whinnies at the group, as if it wants attention, and does a small turn in its stall at the opposite end of the building. +3 points(This group will respond to prompt 5d)
(Due to the large amount of group splitting, I have included which of the next prompts your character should respond to. Points will be recorded after this post. Please wait for the next prompt)

Prompt 5a For just a moment, the situation doesn’t seem that dangerous. The youma simply leans forward, as if to get a better look at the group before her, but then a third, unseen eye opens in the center of her forehead. All at once, the room is thrown into chaos as it becomes clear that she possesses some type of illusionary magic that has been magnified by the mirrors surrounding them.
Each person will see two things - themselves and someone they love. Not only do they see them, but they can hear them saying the most terrible, hurtful things imaginable. The group has to decide what to do - attack their illusion, their loved one’s illusion, or try to get the door open and escape.
[Choice 1]: Your character decides that this is a losing battle! Not only are they seeing things, but their morale is being chipped away bit by bit at the words they hear. It’s hard to tell what’s going on in here between the bad lighting and all the illusions and the best option is obviously to just get out.
If your character decides to try and open the door, please copy the text below and include it in your post:
(CHARACTER NAME) chooses to try and Open the Door.
[Choice 2]: It’s hard to realize what is going on right now between the illusions and the words that are being said. Common sense tells your character that their loved ones can’t possibly be down in the rift with them and it’s unnerving to see them somewhere they don’t belong. It’ll be hard, but they decide they must attack the impersonators, no matter what they try to say to them.
If your character decides to attack someone they love, please copy the text below and include it in your post:
(CHARACTER NAME) chooses to attack the illusion of Someone They Love.
[Choice 3]: It’s hard to figure out what is going on right now between the illusions and the words that are being said. It might be hard to hear the things their loved one is saying to them, but it’s even harder to hear criticism from themselves. It’s not a hard decision, in the end, and they attack their illusion self.
If your character decides to attack the siren youma, please copy the text below and include it in your post:
(CHARACTER NAME) chooses to attack the illusion of Themselves. ~ Prompt 5b For just a moment, the situation doesn’t seem that dangerous, despite the giant eight-legged spider youma blocking them from their only exit. Then someone in the room shifts uncomfortably and it grabs her attention, making her lean a little away from the wall. The hair covering her face parts, to reveal that she is anything but beautiful. Her lips pull back away from a set of vicious, sharp teeth - and she begins to sing. No, singing isn’t quite the word for it. It’s more like a high-pitched melodious screech that makes it feel like your character’s ear drums are about to burst. Many of their comrades have to double over and cover their ears, but stalling isn’t going to make it stop!
The choices are diving for the dumbwaiter to try and escape, turning on the music box on, or attacking her.
[Choice 1]: Your character decides that this is a losing battle! The sound she’s making is almost unbearable and it’s clear that the longer the group sits here, the more at risk they are of going permanently deaf. The best option is obviously to just get out. Maybe if they’re quick enough, they can get to the dumbwaiter and help everyone to safety. She can’t possibly sing and fight at the same time, right?
If your character decides to try and get to the dumbwaiter, please copy the text below and include it in your post:
(CHARACTER NAME) chooses to try and escape through the Dumbwaiter.
[Choice 2]: The sound of the youma’s voice, if it can even be called that, is almost entirely unbearable. It’s hard to think and even harder to do anything when they’re constantly being assaulted by something never meant to reach a human’s ears. With very little options left to them, they remember the music box sitting by the door. Maybe if then can distract her with some different music, she’ll stop singing.
If your character decides to turn on the music box, please copy the text below and include it in your post:
(CHARACTER NAME) chooses to turn on the Music box.
[Choice 3]: The sound of the youma’s voice, if it can even be called that, is almost entirely unbearable. All your character can think about is stopping it and stopping it now. They decide the best course of action is to just attack her. She can’t possibly sing and fight at the same time, right?
If your character decides to attack themselves, please copy the text below and include it in your post:
(CHARACTER NAME) chooses to attack the Spider Youma. ~ Prompt 5c The group that found the dumbwaiter, now reunited with a group of unfortunate soldiers that took a tumble off the balcony, are mostly oblivious to the perils of the rest of their team. Under the watchful eye and stern insistence of Uvarovite, they are trying their best to get the dumbwaiter to work. They can look for something to wedge beneath the cart or try to force the handle.
[Choice 1]: Unable to get through the people crowding around the old dumbwaiter, your character decides that while they’re examining everything, they should look around to see if they can find anything that might help them get this thing working. They leave their team members and do a quick search around area.
If your character decides to look for tools, please copy the text below and include it in your post:
(CHARACTER NAME) chooses to look for tools.
[Choice 2]: Your character knows that dumbwaiters can’t possibly be this complicated. You turn a lever, use a little elbow grease, and it should just go up and down - right? There’s no need to try and get extravagant and fix it before they even know if it’s broken. It’s probably just stuck and needs a good shove or two.
If your character decides to use force on the handle, please copy the text below and include it in your post:
(CHARACTER NAME) chooses to force the handle. ~ Prompt 5d Although the team members in the stables are completely aware that there’s no such thing as a simple pony in the rift, it’s really hard to picture the tiny creature as anything but sweet and loving. The large, honey-brown eyes are gentle and the way it hangs its head makes it seem as if it’s been all alone down here for ages. Who would abandon such a thing here, and how?
[Choice 1]: This little pony obviously needs help. Your character decides that whoever left him here was a terrible person and they’re certainly not going to let him die here all alone. They approach it very calmly, in case it gets startled, to see if it will let them lead it out of the stables and back to safety.
If your character decides to save the pony, please copy the text below and include it in your post:
(CHARACTER NAME) chooses to Save the Pony from harm.
[Choice 2]: Your character is pretty suspicious about all of this. How would a cute little pony get down here without anyone knowing? Maybe it’s experience, or just a gut feeling, but they decide that the best thing to do is to kill it before it can cause any problems.
If your character decides to kill the pony, please copy the text below and include it in your post:
(CHARACTER NAME) chooses to Kill the Pony before it can cause any harm.
[Choice 3]: Your character is pretty suspicious about all of this. They’re so suspicious that they just decide that the best thing to do is leave the stables completely. They’ll just have to tell Uvarovite there isn’t a ladder here because it’s definitely not worth the risk of looking around to find it.
If your character decides to leave the stables, please copy the text below and include it in your post:
(CHARACTER NAME) chooses to leave the stables.

- You have 24 hours from this post to make and reply with your decision. - You may choose to only post the required text OR you can add an RP post having your character play out their choice. You may not assume they find anything or kill anything. - You MAY NOT edit your post to change your answer once it has been posted.
- Additionally, if each player could keep a running tally of their points in their prompt response posts, it would be super helpful. I don't want my tallies to be the only ones available since I am only human and prone to goof ups. ;; ♥

Captain ReineriteReinerite chooses to attack the illusion of Someone They Love. (Score to date: 5 + 5 + 3 + 3) The door that the room led into was...
Well a mess quite frankly, with splinters and rags which Reinerite could only assume may have been furnishings of some type–
And there were mirrors, the mirrors lining the floor, walls and ceiling - but curious as it was - it was clear that there was nothing in the room that remotely looked like the gear that they were searching for...
And it was equally clear that there was nothing inside that would serve as a way back downwards.
Reinerite turned, fully intent on heading back to the door, because maybe the other room would be a better bet, only to catch the door slamming shut.
She spun around, blinking a little at the sudden darkness, only to have a woman reveal herself, light casting a soft glow from her skin as she smiled.
The youma!
Reinerite was sure of it, her hand tightening on her staff - although if truth be told things didn't seem very dangerous - and she wasn't the only one in the room, maybe–
She wasn't expecting her older sister or a second copy of herself to shimmer into life in front of her, a sneer on her sister's face that reminded her painfully of that time with the strange wraith.
The words were similar too–
Failure. Wimp. Coward...
An endless chant, just like that time, and yet it couldn't be Eleanor, because this was the Rift and Eleanor wasn't an Agent - didn't serve the Negaverse–
And yet - and yet the woman in front of her seemed so real.
Reinerite grit her teeth and swung and then swung again.
It couldn't be Eleanor - it couldn't be her sister.

Lt. Geocronite chooses to attack the illusion of Themselves. (Points: TB Calculated and Linked) Illusions. He hated illusions. They were a horrible way to mess with the mind and drive one crazy. And this was no different. An illusion of himself was in front of him. It smirked, he knew what it would say before the words even came out. "You're a coward. You stay in the Negaverse because you're a coward. You don't care about anyone, just yourself. Doing it just to stay alive? To avoid a beating? You know that's f***ing ridiculous." It continued on this train of thought, continuing to throw what he hated about himself back at him. Words that only he could hear. But words he was afraid would reach others. But it was just an illusion. At least a visual one. After this was over, he would once again hear the voices. Any time he had a moment of silence, they would be there, taunting, pestering, putting him down. He summoned his weapon, the compass, and made a motion to attack his illusion.
