Bindhi Coryn
Blinking owlishly as bloodthirst was becoming swiftly replaced by the knowledge that the monster was dead, Bindhi took in the growing flames, thick smoke and waves of people leaving. What a good idea. Joining them, she only hoped that they could all get out and get home before the authorities showed up.
Though, who knew? Maybe the cops would appreciate a story about a spine throwing hell beast... No. Just... no. She'd just lived through it and didn't quite believe it herself.
Finally, after what seemed like ages, they were outside. And from there, it was so much easier to separate from the crowd and bolt for home.

Fire robbed her of her kill. Jessie gumbled a bit, unhappy to be robbed so of her right to slaythe beast that tried to lay talona on them forGod knew what reason -- cultists? - and she tightened her grip on her metal pole, looking to Owen before thinking. She decided it might be illegal to carry the pipe out, but the teen? Jessie dropped th metal bar with much trepidation and regret -- she LIKED that thing! -- and ;ifted Owen slowly into a position over her shoulder, if only on merit of years of working with a large truck and eavy parts, moving for the exit briskly. Owen was not well and she was not letting his mom know a monster tried eating her child. She probably ought to but Jessie wasn't sure it was her place to talk about magic with his poor mother -- no, she'd say work ran late and she didn't think his mom wanted him home making noise in the dead of night -- trucks were FAR from quiet -- but she had a guest room and Owen might feel better soon. Or she could see if he wanted to explain s**t. Her focus was removing him from the thrice damn kill-stealing hellfire present, and rapidly, the monster truck driver shot out the building carrying her young employee, trying to run over as few people as possible. Okay, so he was starting to see things. Unless Jessie really had sprouted fangs, which really knowing her was entirely possible and he wasn't going to rule it out. But the monster screamed, and even with his vision doubling and the world warping a little bit he could see it going down and knew when it died. Great. Great, one dead monster, one open exit (he thought), now they just needed to get out of here... ...In retrospect, Jessie hauling him over her shoulder and fleeing out the door really shouldn't have surprised him. But it did, so he ended up squeaking in surprise and flailing a little in her grip. "I- what - " Ugh. Ugh he couldn't even get himself out the door? That wasn't fair, it was embarrassing and awful and he kind of wanted to die a little now. But at least he was just going to die of embarrassment and not actually die. That, he supposed, he could live with. Owen Exit

The question of what to do quickly resolved itself with... fiery clarity.
Monsters.
BIG Monster.
FIRE.
And a copious amount of befuddled confusion.
There was only one thing to do, really: GTFO.
So, that's exactly what Toby did. He wasn't clear-headed enough at that moment to think as he normally would, "oh jeez, somebody might need my help, I should drag them out!" No, all he really thought was, "SCARY FIRE AND MONSTERS. PUNCH LATER."
And it was with that, well, most intellectual of mindsets that he joined the throng of fleeing...monster people? Think about it later. Pressing as they did outward. Luckily, he didn't notice anybody getting trampled...
He went all the way back home then, shaking a bit, and pretty much just slept.
Toby, Exit Stage Up.

Glen Michaels
When the beast smashed the door Glen , instead of running like he wanted, stayed to help try and make sure noone was trampled in their panicked haste to escape the building, trying to not cry out when the spine still piercing his arm was jostled and moved either back or forward, agony each time it happened. Once he was sure noone was left, he stumbled out himself, now a little sick from smoke inhalation and the pain in his arm. Maybe that was panic? Ambulances could be heard in the distance, and Glen, not wanting that bill, just hobbled his way towards the hospital to get the needle removed.
Later, as he was laying in a hospital bed, full of pain killers and breathing through a mask, Glen decided that he was never celebrating a single ******** halloween ever again. In fact, he was likely just going to forget October was even real. This month was just too damn much this year. He fell asleep knowing his troubles were only about to really start when either mother got the phone call, and that theyd likely be bringing his neighbors with them.
Oh ********, that meant theyd be bringing Go. Glen willed himself to sleep after that, and decided to just feign sleep once they arrived.

Seren was about to try stabbing the monster again, when the doors smashed open... And she smelled the smoke. Oh that was NOT on. She was not going to be trapped in a fire! She fled towards the door, dropping the 'spear' as she went. Her face still was blank, and she was just utterly exhausted, and in pain. She needed to get out of here.
Then she needed to get HOME, and get some help with her injuries. She was thinking of texting Nate for help, because she needed more then just a little assistance in getting the burns and the hole in her thigh properly covered over.
Once she was outside, and heard the sirens, she moved fast... She ran, despite the wound, home as fast as she could. She was a little pale with pain and some blood loss by the time she arrived, but... She was home. She was SAFE. She had made it. But she was gonna be having nightmares for weeks, she was sure.

A lot happened was happening at once as the monster fell into its death throes, thankfully less painfully than Lorne would've hoped considering all the negativity that'd gone into it. Funny enough, he actually felt a little sorry for the abomination of a creature - he could kind of relate to the desperation with which the thing clawed at the door. Monster or human, order and negaverse... it was a little jarring to see the same fear he'd felt suffocating him too many times to count reflection in such inhuman features, but in a way, strangely, it was a little reassuring, too. Lorne had to tug his shirt up over his nose and mouth and try and obscure the smoke and the stench, pushing his musings aside. "C-come on, " he said, uttering an apology to the man he'd tried to help shield as he rather ungracefully made an attempt to just hoist him up off the ground to lend him a hand in getting out. He didn't know if the man was hurt or not, but just to be safe. Then there was the girl, the one with the white hair who'd called out to him before - "Miss, p-please - if you're able, let's go t-together, " or else he'd have to come back for her. Either way, they'd best hurry along.

Rhona LeeThe world stood still as the monster reared up to prepare for another attack and Rhona braced herself. She didn't come here to die. She didn't survive what she had survived to die. She wouldn't die. Not like this and not tonight. She had a girlfriend to see. A store to manage. A life to make and live. This was not where her story ended. This was not how her story ended. And fate, it would seem, agreed with her. In a blast of light, the monster fell, sending Rhona back with the shockwave of it's collapse. She didn't stay down for long, though, spying the splintered door as the only way out. And she'd take it without question. The cool clean night air seared her lungs as Rhona used the last of her energy to slink out of sight, power up, and search for a mirror that she knew was nearby for a quick route to the hospital that she so dearly needed. She'd text Lavender tomorrow. It was so very late. Aura St. Grey and Imagi St. GreyTime hovered between the siblings as the weight of what had happened fell upon them. Aura looked between her shamed brother and her settling sister, wondering what the look on his face meant. How many moments passed as Aura searched Alphonse's eyes for answers to her questions? It must have only been an instanced, but the second between his truncated question and his downward casted gaze stretched on endlessly. Aura opened her mouth to ask when she was interrupted by the monster's horrendous cry. And then, just like that, time reclaimed them all and slammed them back into reality. The shockwave sent out by the monster's fall sent Aura toppling over into Alphonse, her wounded leg unable to keep her steady. Imagi, however, braced herself against the blow and remained standing. Both, however, watched in horror as the monster writhed and wailed before catching fire. Both jumped when the monster's paw slammed against the door in a desperate attempt to escape. Both stood staring at one another when the dust settled and the monster burned to death. "Imagi..." Aura's voice was broken and pleading, her shaking hand reaching out for her sister, but Imagi was frozen. Smoke filled her lungs and fear filled her bones and all she could do was run. So that's what she did. She ran. She turned her back on her sister and ran as fast as she could out of the building and when she was free of the sight and the smell of the place she powered up int Beta Leporis and pressed the home key on her senshi phone. And Aura just watched her sister leave. Leave her. Imagi left her. Aura knew that Imagi was upset with her... more than upset, she was furious... but this... this was something else altogether. Aura could live to be a thousand years old and never know was propelled her to her feet and gave her the strength to grab her brother's hand, but she did. And she walked on her tattered leg out the door, leaning heavily on Alphonse, to try and catch Imagi before she got too far away. She only got a glimpse of her fuku before he vanished, leaving Aura blinking in the smoke-filled night. "Take me to a hospital, Alphonse. I... I owe you an explanation."
